My family bought a Capstone Seqouia and we love it very much! Yes it costed a good bit but it's a Toyota and it's going to drive for a very long time. We also love the power it makes and just the overall style of it.
Yep the lack of higher mpg is why we stopped looking for one, you're right we were expecting at least 24 mpg. Was real excited for it but I guess we'll keep our 2nd gen tundra for now.
Hey, I have a platinum 2024 and it doesn't have the heads-up display. Do all platinum come with it or you had to upgrade this and pay extra for the heads-up display?
When you took off the front lower air dam did you put a skid plate on it? Mine has this felt lining where the skid plate would go and I’m trying to figure out if I need to remove it to put the skid plate on.
I got a platinum today in white. I was lucky , the customer that order the truck didn't take it. I was there at the dealer for my brother in law vehicle. I asked and got it. No markup price.
I just sold my 2023 limited to abz motors in Houston just after driving 1900 miles . Biggest problem third row seat configuration messing up trunk space, gas mileage was no more then 12 mpg, my third row seat subwoofer blew up after two months and took dealer 6-7 times to figure out nothing they replaced it twice but it still sounded distorted. I am looking for older one again ;(
People can't resist the splurge on a first year model so of course mark-ups are the way they are. On top of that, you'll inherit all the problems of a first year model. So it's a Toyota, yes, but it's no Japanese made Toyota. On the issue of mpg, cold weather affects the numbers. You'll see better fuel economy as the weather warms. Although too hot and with the A/C on full blast, you'll see no benefit once again. It's just extra weight at that point. I had a hybrid Highlander and have a PriusV. The weight of a vehicle definitely affects the numbers: PriusV - 5 to 10mpg boost from the electric motor. Highlander - 4 to 8mpg boost. If my Sequoia had a hybrid component - 2 to 4mpg boost.
Are you guys planning on putting the Prinsu roof rack? I just contacted them and they have not tested with panoramic moonroof. I just don’t want to lose it because rack isn’t high enough to clear.
@@Runnin4Tacos I think I misheard, I just thought you meant you can't put TRD Pro into 2H. I drive my Sequoia TRD Pro in 2H most of the time except on gravel roads.
@@Runnin4Tacos I filled ot and saw 444 miles til empty. Drove 4.5 miles to Costco and back home and see 389 miles til empty. And I am defintely not driving it hard.
@@USMC_LAterZ I wonder if the computer is just not caculating correctly. I am about to do a manual calculation to see if the MPG is actually what it reads on the dash.
My opinion if you go trd pro in any Toyota vehicle you just paying for the name and would only consider it if not doing any mods...have seen sr5 trim level all modded that look way better then the top of the line trd pro
That is a smart man speaking lol. If I went with the TRD Pro I would keep it bone stock as well. You pay for some Pro badges and aesthetics that could be purchased for a cheaper price. Any upgrade in suspension would be an upgrade over what comes with the Pro.

Hope you do more updates on the sequoia as it gets older

Heads up display is an option for an extra cost

I want a trd pro too but have a capstone reserved. At no markup might get it just to flip it!

I get 18 out of mine doing 80mph. Idk what you were doing to get 12 mpg.
Call out the bad dealers doing the markup. There are min of 3 dealers in the metro area not doing markups on the pros.
Lol. It is unfortunate that people car shopping don't even think to go to other dealerships to price shop.
I’m in Arizona and found 2 dealers so far not doing the 15k markups. Might be a longer wait but I’m patient

I’ve seen a sr5 for 80k. Base model no leather terrible deal

How’s the trunk space experience?
It works great for me. If I do a big Costco run I just put the 3rd row down and there is plenty of space.
6 month of waiting that’s crazy man. I live in TX I have to be on the list also.
I had to pay $5k over MSRP in the Springs for a 23’ 4Runner SR5 Premium. It sucks getting a Toyota in CO because everyone wants one.
Yeah, Very unfortunate lol. But as long as you like it then it is worth it.

Yeah, I am still debating if we want to do a rack or not.
TRD pro trim does indeed have 2H. I think the lower mpg is due to some extra stuff tacked onto the trim (roof rack, maybe the fox shocks?)

I get 18 mpg out of mine.
I have a 2023 Toyota Highlander Platinum AWD Hybrid on loan. Considered it's a Hybrid, shit guzzles up gas.
Really? Even on a much lighter highlander?

It’s because of awd
Great video
Beautiful, do you know of a shop trustworthy enough to install lockers in a 3rd gen Tundra or Sequoia?
I do in Colorado.
Any updates on this build?
Just waiting for kings.
i been waiting lol, nice truck
What do you think about the gas consumption of your Sequoia?. How many miles you get before you see the gas light on? Thanks in advance.
Gas consumption has been all over the place. I think that is due to the fact that it is brand new and needs to break in. Should I do a video on MPG?
Him: Let’s all agree that a $80k Toyota is expensive.
