    If you use the kit, You've done all you need to do to run LED headlights. I made one of those harnesses years ago, using eBay sockets, and relays, and it cost me about three bucks less. Glad someone makes a kit.

    I currently own 2 XJs and a have had a dozen over the past 23 years. Ranging from 1986-2000. I've never had a headlight switch go bad.

    Looks great. Thanks for the confidence to tackle this essential upgrade. Perhaps your driver's side beam needs angle adjustment? ChrisFix has done it. May make an impactful follow up video to recap why people ought to do this upgrade in the first place. Anyways. That's what I'll be chasing. Thanks for the new Project!

    I used a kit from different company, and can attest to 2 things:
    1) my headlight switch stopped needing replacement every 1-1.5 years. Had to do 1 reppacement after about 5 years from adding relay harness, so far.
    2) it does make regular or halogen headlights a bit brighter. But for LED ones, there’s no obvious difference.

    there is also a harness available from LMC truck(part # 36-3580) $was $29.95. I have purchased 6 of these for my XJ's

    I just installed this on my xj with stock headlights and noticed no difference
