Could this Idea KILL my YouTube Channel???
#jeepcherokee #foxbodymustang #automotive
I have an idea for winter, but could it kill my TH-cam channel? Time to roll the dice. Winter is quickly approaching, and I really don't like working in the cold anymore. So, I decided to try something new for the channel. I really hope it helps motivate everyone to continue working on their projects.

My thoughts on my Budget built Camp Shower
I'd like to wire in my window controls on a steering wheel lol
That would be wild! I'm still really considering taking my wireless winch controller apart and working it into my wheel.
I do know that diesel heater is pretty sensitive on voltage what I would recommend is a dc-dc optimiser with a dry cell battery for power spikes.
@@shermanthewelder3658 I kept the Jackery 500 just to run diesel heater and my WeBoost. Everythings working good
I know this video is old but maybe you will see this. Are those speakers any good? How do they sound?
@@marka.2715 They are ok. For the price they work just fine. Decent sound but I know better options are available, but I'm not to worried about having a massive system in the rig.
Could be worse. Could be a Wrangler.
I've never heard someone hate an "upgrade" so much! 😂
It just looks like a body shop put the hood on wrong. Still not a huge fan of the look but honestly this has cut the heat from engine bay and trans tunnel down big time.
@nextweeksadventure i have hood vents and they seem to do the trick. I also have a triple e-fan/radiator upgrade.
I made an outside shower for our house using pvc pipe painted black. We use it when we have power outages and sometimes just because it's nice to shower outside. I found out the hard way that the sun can heat the water in that black PVC to the point it can scald you. Wow!
314 in the house! I have that same winch and it's a powerhouse!
May as well just keep both. Just more power, you can have in the bank.
@@seric4546 I did. Sucks for space but works great for extra power.
The only jackery they got right was the jackery 300.
I still run the 500 with no issues so add that one to the good list also. The 1000.... Still disappointed
I'm torn by this. I like the updated look but I really like my overland WJ wheel in my XJ.
Best video I’ve seen on this mod, thanks.
@@bryanwallace3347 awesome dude thanks for the comment! Glad the video helped.
GREAT JOB"THANX 4 SHARING GOOD INFO!
GREAT INFO BOTH PUMP VIDZ" THANX ! NEWSUB IN IDAHO!
I myself have a project Mustang and Jeep. I wouldn't mind watching videos on either.
Thinking im going to do this.. How much did it cost?
Part numbers are listed in description. OReilly Prices are roughly $130 Master cylinder $130 brake booster $25 for reservoir on Amazon. If you really want to upgrade check out my rear disk swap video. It's a whole new animal now.
Just followed your lead on this and now my belt is rubbing on the power steering bracket.. do I need the we pulley too? Different offset?
No it uses the same pulley your old pump had. Sounds like the pulley might be on the shaft to far. If I recall correctly the pulley doesn't really have to be mounted all the way down shaft. I remember eyeballing it while it was on to see if belt was aligned straight with all the other pulleys and adjusted pulley to make sure everything was good.
Thanks bro, you are very respectful person just like us Omani people from Oman middle east, regards.
Dyneema and Spectra are both brand names for whm wpe ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The individual fibers are very thin but incredibly long and straight in this provides whm wpe with a strength. Lots of different roommakers Samsung by fibers from DSM who license d y n e e m a, and then spin them into a lovely braids called amsteel blue. I am still blue is made from a specific type of fiber called sk75. There are other grades of the dyneema too, such as sk78 is used in Samsung's as 78 halo braid. D y n e e m a n Spectra are both brand names for w h m w p e ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. Lifespan is 5 years so as your vehicle sits there and not being used for 5 years not towing then you just took a risk and snapping the whole mix.
Did you use a coil compressor to get the springs in place?
@@danielscarbrough3836 nope just worked them in.
Hello. Great vid. Can you provide a link to those longer studs or provide specs or site?
I got them off amazon here's a link. You just need 10 for rear axle. Front axle studs work fine. amzn.to/48uVl11
Great video!! Thank you!
I wanted to see how you kept the spring from jumpin out at u, im assuming the pocket up top is deep enough that it doesnt?
@@funify11x make sure a floor jack supports the control arm the entire time!!! Once everything is unbolted slowly drop the jack. Ratchet strap around coil and frame can help hold spring in place also
Thanks for taking the time to go over everything with part numbers
What about making holes bigger to feed rope through ? Chinese metal is soft, use one of those conical shaped drill bits
@@jameshallahan4376 Honestly it's held up this long I'm not worried about any changes to it.
Thanks!
DUDE!! this is so awesome of you! I just got the alert about the "super thanks". I never imagined getting one and I greatly appreciate you being able to do it. Thanks again!
Awesome job! I’ll be picking this stuff up around thanksgiving
I'm gonna buy the Wilwood brake prop valve 260-11179 just because you said the performance after the change .. the Amazon version
Hey I saw on Dan H's you tube Channel and found that you can use the spring in the proprotioning valve from a 1998 grandcherokee works so I tried it and it works grat
@@ericgunnyporter8964 factory proportioning valves work great for factory conditions. Like I said in video yes they will work... but with a modified vehicle (as in tires, weight and so on) having the ability to manually adjust the brake bias will make for better all around brake function.
Do you have parts# for future replacement of pads, or even rotors?
@@robertmilic8704 all of that stuff would be a factory part #. Just need to reference it as a jeep grand cherokee with rear disks to get correct parts.
Nice
Thanks
Couldn’t you swap the calipers from side to side? That would put the bleeders on top instead of on the bottom. The banjo fitting will remain in the same place since it is in the center. Great video and very comprehensive and complete! I see this being searched and viewed a lot.
@@kirkrice2152 i did once I realized I had them wrong. I think I said flip in video but thats what I meant.
I bought the locker, but my diff is lsd. Is it possible to convert my diff to install the torq locker?
So according to torqmaster website it only works in open diff's so you'd have to switch out yours.
@@nextweeksadventure I have a chrysler 8.25 with LSD and want to convert to open differential. Do you know if it works if I only change the carrier and keep the original ring gear?
@mandaparaeu I looked around to try and confirm and didn't see anywhere that shows ring and pinion sets are different.(open diff vs Lsd) So I would say the gears should be transferable. Best bet is contact a shop who does gear sets.
Jeep = Just Empty Every Pocket!
"Planned Obsolescence"! I ran into problems back in the 70-80s with Honda power steering fluid. If you didn't use Honda fluid, your hoses would soften and swell in weeks!!
Do they make slotted/vented rotors for the fronts?
@@DjRapnytech yes
@@nextweeksadventure need to do my fronts soon. Just a daily so I might not NEED vented, but the extra cooling factor is definitely helpful under extreme braking
No need to tilt the tube in order to get all the water out, because the compressed air will drive out the water.
If terrain is not level and the front pipe is 1 mm lower, water will flow to the front and won’t fall through the faucet.
Just ordered this part because of your video. Thank you. The bushings were a nightmare so I’ll give this a shot.
great video, thank you, can you still haul the normal amount of weight in the truck bed?
You definitely need to switch the shocks. The original shocks will bottom out. Unfortunately I sold the truck so I could not tell you if you can handle the same amount of weight.
How is your snorkel attached to the air-box?
It's in this video. th-cam.com/video/Ez1OT6ff_gw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=iCVp4FFQTRQxU9PS
As someone who only buy used cars and drive long distance with 230K on the dash, I definitely understand the “is my car driving different” thoughts when eveything is more than likely good lol great video my man!!
Great video my man !!
Good times!!
Yes it was!
“They” say (or would if seen) your wheel studs are too short for your adapters/spacers. Do you find that to be tue? Any issues? Any plans to remedy? I have them also; JK wheels. (‘98 build in slow progress).
@@tabelq yes your rear axle studs are to short and you will need to swap them with slightly longer studs. I've already done this and have had no issues.
Do you have the link or the size of the rear shocks?
I used Americantrucks.com for the lowering kit. You can search shocks for max trac and it will show you the ones needed for a 4inch drop. $54.00 for rear set of 2
I was watching another video and they tested the jackerys. The old style has a different kind of battery and only went to say 1000 watts. The new one the same wattage gives out like 4000 because it has a new kind of battery. Hope this helps. They suggested to Jackery to get rid of the old style or make a big point to tell people that it puts out less than the new style.
@@fishingfreckles yeah I think Jackery found the issue because they released a new 1000 series. Unfortunately those of us with the old one are stuck.
