The heavier density mounts on port are to counteract for the rotation of the crankshaft…. I was scratching my head and was just about to comment at the beginning when you were replacing the first one and said that 150 goes on port😊
That fridge is super nice!!!! fits like a glove and looks OE! Patches lives to see another day hahaha. Those engine mounts looked much easier then J1 oh man, Travis was working by feel alone on J1 lol. HAHAHA Red Green show was the best, If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy....classic Canada right there 😄
W. A. Y. T. O. G. O. Jib Sea II 🎉🎉🎉 The drawer fridge looks fabulous ‼️ and niiiiice detail, on the drain hole and copper tubing hole. 👍🏻👏🏻 The dinghy choice was smart. No need adding extra risk when not necessary. Aaaaaand, of course, major kudos tomTravis for some clever engine work. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. See you next time. ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝️👙🌞✨
Great video on the importance of engine mounts.. Patches on the dinghy hmm we patched the tar out of ours and it works but still leaks.. We have decided to buy a new Dinghy.. We really enjoy your videos and saving money doing repairs is right up our alley as well.. Small tricks that can be done on our boat. Thank you for teaching us..
This was a super fun video for me, thanks so much! I loved the DIY information on replacing the engine mounts as well as the differences in the dingy. Can't wait to be there some day! I keep looking at Jibsea 1 and wishing:-) I totally understand and love your new ride and can't wait to see all the adventures to come! Totally wish I could join in and help!!! And thanks for the quote at the end. I needed that:-)
Red Green quote was the best Travis! a gotta see after pix in the fridge install! I bet the engine vibrates less with the new mounts. Stay safe! Jeremy
Message to Steph: Travis is one clever guy. I reckon he is a keeper! Message to Travis: Steph is gorgeous and an amazing cook. I reckon she is a keeper. Together you are a great couple.
Hi Guy's, check the air inlet on your outboard. With Suzuki there is a air restricted block that when removed makes the engine a 20 HP engine. I suspect your tahatsu is the same. Most manufacturers make the same engine fit for several hp ranges , by restricting air flow or fuel flow. Yamaha 6 hp is really a 9.9 etc . Having a dingy that can take a beating and not go flat is a huge WIN , as well as will last forever rather than 6-10 years . CHEERS AND FAIR WINDS Steve h
Why aren’t you using a David off the stern? It would seem to me off the stern is far more effective and efficient particularly in an emergency. I enjoy your videos not only for your boat projects but also your travels.
Steph is the brains but the man-child impresses me endlessly with his skill set for sailboat renovations. His Lake Ontario fix-it projects were cringeworthy but now, perfecto.
Don’t know if anyone mentioned this but Yanmar mounts are not failsafe . They can separate and allow the motor to come off there mounts , in a knock down situation . I replace mine with failsafe mounts .
You're close... "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." Let's also not forget the Man's Prayer: "I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess." Quando omni flunkus moritati!

Professional job on the install. Loving the music on the intro and during the video. Glad I started watching again!
Thanks! Glad you’re back on board!
consider a small whisker pole to help get the heavy dighny on and off the foredeck. Good luck!

It was definitely a massive upgrade in the fridge department!

We appreciate you taking the time to watch! So glad you are enjoying the journey. ⛵️
Absolutely love the videos you guys make but I couldn’t see it on film so please consider getting a kill cord fitted to your outboard!
You did a nice job on the new fridge install!

I'm glad that you guys are knocking out your projects, so that you can get back to more sailing adventures.
We're getting there! ⛵️
Right on, keep your stick on the ice!! Great vid!
You have an aluminum boat, so having a complimentary dinghy makes sense. Time will tell!
Awesome job on the fridge, looks really neat.
Thank you! We’re super happy with how it turned out!

Thank you so much for the video!!
Great work!
Looks like 100k is imminent. Yahoo! 🎉
We’re getting there!
Thank you for a fun Sunday morning!! Love the Red Green!!
Red Green is a classic, gotta love it!
You are so smart with the fridge. Very impressive.
Thank you, we’re pleased with how it turned out!😆
We changed out our engine mounts using a Wilson basketball and a hand air pump. Worked great to raise the engine.
Great job on the engine mounts! Your very smart approach made a difficult job look so easy!
Great job on the engine mounts! The install on the refrigerator was impressive too.
Fridge install looks OUTSTANDING
We are really happy with how it turned out!

Sweet job with the fridge.
Nice work guys, she’s coming along quickly! We just made our way down to West Palm Beach and in a few days we’ll finish this leg to Miami. 😊
It sounds like you’re having a great trip! Safe travels!
Just a thought, can you us the whisker pole like crane jib. Now you are using the RHIB it may be more stable for you. Good job guys

it’s an extra few thousand dollars we don’t have right now to install one
Good Job guys!! Y'all make it look easy.
It was definitely a lot of work, but we’re proud of how it turned out!
I think after the engine mounts should have done davits, also that motor you have is a 15 horse but sorted you can undo the fix. Look it up.
That fridge change was a nice addition. Cant wait to see u with dinghy davits and the dinghy of your touring dreams. No offence re-repatched patches.
Considering Jibsea 2 has self steering vane on the transom
Stern davits would br difficult to mount
RIP Wayne Robson. Travis started it with the Red Green show.
Steph is the brains but the man-child impresses me endlessly with his skill set for sailboat renovations. His Lake Ontario fix-it projects were cringeworthy but now, perfecto.
Thanks, but we didn’t film any fix it projects while on Lake Ontario..?
@SailingJibsea NY?
Early in your sailing career. Ont, NY, ICW, I have followed you both since the beginning. It has been an interesting evolution.
Use your electric anchor windlass to hoist the dinghy, i'd keep the indestructible one
Red green 😂 ❤ . And good job you 2 on that fridge , a lot of heavy lifting but you're young😂
Love that you got that!🤣
Cool vid, keep on trucking guys ❤
Great jobs done👍 How did you secure the fridge to stop it moving at sea?
With brackets
Nice job on the mounts.
Thank you cheers!
Good call on the dinghy. IMO inflatables are the way to go unless you have a super burly davit system.
Red Green ! Your funny man on l’y in Canada … lol
Don’t know if anyone mentioned this but Yanmar mounts are not failsafe . They can separate and allow the motor to come off there mounts , in a knock down situation . I replace mine with failsafe mounts .
did you install a check valve on the drain line from the frig to keep water from back flowing from the gray water tank into the frig
Thanks!
Thank you, We appreciate it!
Red green rocks
There is a reason I've made myself so extremely handy. Lol. I just don't have it going on in the looks department. LMAO
Red green love it
Won't the heat from the stove interfere with the coil from the condenser? -
Not an issue as there is barely any heat down there
great video it's workable lol
Durometer
I hope SHIP 💩 doesn’t come back up and in to the fridge from the gray water 💦
Don’t forget insane.
Sheesh, you lost your canuck card. It's: "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy." Kudo's for trying.
Hahaha funny Travis actually corrected himself off camera afterwards but we don’t do retakes😅 (guess he just made it his own😉)

Great job on the fridge and mounts
