Fun project! I always learn something from your tutorials. And admittedly I'm a bit of a brand loyalist but every time I have to buy a non-sks product it just doesn't compare. For example, your foam clay has more structure out of the container than others I've tried that are kind of runny. I can use yours to actually sculpt objects independent of any other surface while the other brands seem to need a base structure of eva foam to be most effective.
Thank you I appreciate that! and yes my foam clay is different from others out there we tweaked the formula to get it more of what I wanted to work with so I'm glad you can see the difference!
Oh man was this awesome! Looking forward to making my own! You had used the liquitex soft body as a wash did you have to thin it out at all or add anything to it or is it just that wet already?
@@SKSProps hahaha okay, In the video when you just started brushing it on I was really confused and ready to go buy a tub if it was all ready to go! lol thanks for the clarification, looking forward to seeing what else you make and trying somethings out for myself.
This is really cool!!! Hey you think you can make an animal skull masks tutorial one day? I've been trying to make a decent horse skull mask all year, but made very little progress to perfecting a proper mask.
You mentioned that you *don’t* use any water when applying the titanium white at the end. Does that imply that you did add water to the black when you were doing the wash? Or is it just straight black??
Awesome! It depends, if it’s a large or heavy wear area I tend to use contact cement and I’ll use superglue for smaller pieces or details to keep the build clean
Would you ever consider doing a bird mask that is a jumping off point from this that would also include feathers? I'd love to see one where the protrudes out more and has feathers instead of a skull.
WHY have I never thought to sharpen my exacto blades with my sharpening steel?!? Duh! 🙃 Think my teen will want to make this one with me. She's a bird nerd. ❤️

This would make a great Khonsu from Moon Knight
This is amazing. It would be a great jumping off point for a Khonshu from the Disney+ Moon Knight.

WOW that Mask would be great for LARP Costumes like my Raven Shaman ^^

Very cool project and great paint job! Such an interesting looking character with the hood, would love to see it fleshed out as a whole costume!
Thank you! Might eventually make him into a Halloween decoration 👍
Totally building this and adding a plague doctor mask on top, just for dramatic unmasking effect.
Awesome! have fun!

Thank you very much!
Keep up the good job your videos are great!
Thank you very much!
Thanks so much! What do you use for the ‘mesh’ behind the eyes and nostrils?
You’re welcome! Same chiffon black fabric that I use in pretty much all of my masks.
Oh man was this awesome! Looking forward to making my own!
You had used the liquitex soft body as a wash did you have to thin it out at all or add anything to it or is it just that wet already?
Thanks! Soft body vs heavy body is just a medium to pigment count difference you still need to add water to thin it out for washes

great job. thanks for the video

This is SO cool! I wonder if you plan to try doing this but with a moving jaw. Mind giving off a few tips? I'm very curious.😊
Just watch the dog skull mask video I installed a moving jaw on that one
So Cool !
Thanks!
That is awesome!!!! and thank you for the free templates. 💀

Washes always have water helps it flow down into the details. But the drybrushing is just to highlight the high points
When do you choose to use super glue vs contact cement? Going to attempt my first mask build with EVA foam thanks to you!
Awesome! It depends, if it’s a large or heavy wear area I tend to use contact cement and I’ll use superglue for smaller pieces or details to keep the build clean
Fantastic. You could make a reaper figure, thank you so much for the HTM. I am looking for a giant bat to make.
Thanks!
I loved the final result! Do you have this model for 3d print?
I don’t 3D print I build everything by hand
@@SKSProps Thanks for the response mate, I loved the way you maed it on video, I was just wondering if it would have another way for making it too :D
can you make a tutorial on a helmet skull mask foam
Awesome work man, could you please do netflix daredevil season 2 new helmet.
I am not from the USA, which density you used for the foam? I could order cf 65 and 100 here
Overseas they label their foam completely different from the US my guess would be it's closer to the 65
Would you ever consider doing a bird mask that is a jumping off point from this that would also include feathers? I'd love to see one where the protrudes out more and has feathers instead of a skull.
I don’t have any plans on making a full headdress but I’m sure someone can based off of this mask
Hello there! I'm from Brazil and sadly I can't buy your foam, you can recommend any other matterials for those masks? EVA? Thanks!
Some countries that can't get foam like to use cardboard or paper mache
Are you going to share the gundam plans that you posted on IG? I think it was for an expo a few weeks back.
I didn't do a Gundam that was probably my friend Odin Makes
Looks like tree Bark .use different browns and it would look like a killer tree batk mask
How long do you need to wait after sculpting the foam clay to seal and paint it?
24 hours, that allows it to setup enough to carve into it otherwise it starts to skin in 1-2 hours
Hey I saved the file and printed it out but it's too small. Any suggestons?
Watch the how to print templates video
Lo que usas es espuma de goma?
it's my own line of eva foam
WHY have I never thought to sharpen my exacto blades with my sharpening steel?!? Duh! 🙃
Think my teen will want to make this one with me. She's a bird nerd. ❤️
Awesome! have fun!
what size paper do you use??
Paper size doesn’t matter watch the how to print templates video
@@SKSProps
the paper you used to make the template I mean
Kinda reminds me or the new Inquisitor from Tales of the Jedi
Had to go look it up. Might use part of this template for a redesign once I can get a better look at the mask 👍
Tengu.
Tengu-wa tengu des.
Question for UK peeps, anyone have a good UK based seller of similar EVA Foam that they use regularly?
Overseas you have Poly Props and Lumins Workshop. Not quite the same as my foam but a lot better than floor mats
@@SKSProps thank you kindly 🍻

Needs blood stains on it...definitely got to try this one...
AWESOME job!! THNX 4 SHARING!! WHERE do u get ur foam materials & the foam clay???
