7:17 but in graphs mids are siding with chu2. Just a small difference around 1.5k

    • @obodioreviews
      @obodioreviews  ปีที่แล้ว

The graph was normalized to 1khz so it looks like the Wan'er is more recessed, but because there is less bass and treble on Wan'er as well as the ear gain being located at 2k, the mids are much better to my ears on the Wan'er timbre wise. Hope I helped!

While I only have the chu 2 and tangzu, I can pretty confidently say that the chu 2 beats the tangzu for these reasons
      1. better build quality. The chu 2 uses metal while the tangzu uses plasic. The metal that the chu 2 uses is not heavy at all, the weight is just right to were it won't fallout of your ears but also not be too distracting.
      2. the ear tips. They are just higher quality. Also they don't have the issue were the iem feels like it's gonna fallout of your ear like the tangzu.
      3. the cable. The tangzu wanger uses a recessed 2 Pins which limits the amount of cables that will work with the tangzu. Also because of how lightweight the tangzu is, the cable pops out of the iem when you try to take the iem out of your ears which is very annoying. However the chu 2 has a non recessed 2 pin connector, and thus, does not suffer from these problems. side note the braiding on the tangzu is decent but most cheap after-market braided cable are way better than the tangzu's brading. however this is only the case for the older white and black models, the green model of the tangzu has an updated cable which is supposed to fix these issues but I do not have that model so I would not know.
      4. Sound. The Chu 2 has a lot of bass, mids are little eh, and top end is real sparkly, thus causing the chu 2 to sound clear and kinda warm. The tangzu takes this sound profiles and just cracks it up to 11, it's like a more extreme version of the chu 2 and honestly I was pretty surprised by the sound quality it maintained while being so wild, though guitars, drums and high vocals did sound a bit harsh.
      5. you can replace the nozzle.
      6. you get a decent carrying case.
the only advantage that the tangzu has is the microphone which does sound pretty good and is way better then most wireless mics out there. but you can just buy the chu 2 and replace the cable with one that has a mic while only paying about 3 more dollars than the tangzu. I also found this amazon review which might help you www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1ETXTC4YU4HMC?ref=pf_vv_at_pdctrvw_srp.

I love those tangzu eartips, my melee sounds best and amazing on these eartips.
But please, i hope they stop making clear eartips because it becomes yellowish overtime.
I'm saying this because my springtips (& spinfits & some eartips) have gone yelowish.

Okay lang bro! The tips they use are OEMs and they don't actually make them. They have included non-clear tips with the original Shimin-Li and the Heyday that might fit your bill, but I do agree that yellowing can be problematic in the long run.

I'd say the Chu 2 is a step up for both Quarks 3.5mm and Quarks DSP, but they're both differently tuned.
Against Wan'er, the Wan'er has a more natural timbre and better balance, but the Chu 2 is more fun and has better bass and treble extension.
And for under $25, my personal favorite is the Simgot EW100P, but both the Wan'er and the Chu 2 are a close second and are very compelling choices against the EW100P. Hope that helped :)

@@raimond110 not sure but my stock cable was fine. Ran them off of my phone with zero issues but it did lose audio whenever I'd twist it a certain way. Only reason I replaced it tbh. Stock tips gave a very kato esque sound. About 80% close to the kato. Spring tips made them sound more v shaped. I'd assume cause of the width since the opening is much wider. It added more bass and treble. Fun but I preferred stock sound so I'll be looking to get a more comfy narrow bore tip set for them as they sound very balanced and lush like the kato that way.

Definitely varying opinions with the Chu 2 on its bass. Some of my friends hated how bassy the Chu 2 was while some just found it sufficient. Thanks for sharing your experience!

That's alright! Just enjoy your Chu's. They aren't bad anyways :)
