it's weird, last time i tried a Moondrop IEM (Stardust) it didn't fit my ears and always fell out of my ear, I could tell it doesnt go far enough in my ear. Even though the nozzle was smaller than some of IEM that fits well in my ear (salnotes zero)
I'll try this one tho, the only thing stopped me from buying the original Chu was the undetachable cable

Moondrop went through a weird phase with IEM's where they basically released a bunch of IEM's like the droplet, lan and quark dsp. I honestly feel like all those were just testing new hardware. Seems the Chu 2 is now testing a new driver which the Starfield 2 is also using. Wonder how they will go compared to the first models.

    LAN has a beryllium coating.

Moondrop have messed up the Starfield 2 design, imo. Well, actually it may be better overall, but they definitely went overboard with that "Moondrop presents" on the second earpiece. The packaging was also much better for the OG version. The art on it was so much better. And now it's just a huge mug of yet another generic waifu with subtly weird facial proportions. The OG version's package was also appropriately compact and even it's oblong shape resonated with me somehow.
This may seem like a weird rant, but it's just that I fell in love with original Starfield's overall aesthetic from the first glance and I still can't let it go. If I could, I'd buy them just to have them in my collection so I could admire and gush over them all I want.

the thing with Spotify is that people say some tracks are not correctly mastered(?)/uploaded into their library, that is assuming its not mixed badly in the first place. But on most the Very High setting which is iirc 320kbps ogg is good enough barely noticeable difference with lossless (ymmv). Also dont forget to turn off normalize volume, and other audio processing stuff on your device (imagine it like editing jpeg photos compared to raw files, if you edit jpegs it will show up the artefacts at a certain point)

I also think the Lans are a little overpriced but since I got mines for 30.41 i can not complain they are just very good for that price, the same with any other IEM´s after watching some reviews you can decide if pay the whole price of wait for some offers and discounts, like Chu for less than 19.99 or and 22usd max is still good, Quarks for less than 12usd and even until 15usd i would say they are really good just because I really liked them, and the same for any other IEM´s, if you thing a IEM´s is worthy yes go for the full price i guess, but sometime if you pay less and still worthy for more is a win win bc you can recommend them for the normal price or less (and I paid with pesos mxn so prices are even lowest right now than the last year when i bout the Chu, Quarks and SSP)

Slope bass always has a tendency to lose its definition so lack of definition on chu 2's tuning is understandable.
A mixture of slope and shelf filter in bass is the best in my opinion slowly starting from 210hz to reaching its maximum at 110 hz and a steady linear line until 30 and a slight fall off after that.
This usually gives a more clean and defined note definition.

Believe me, sidegrades are not worth it at all - unless you are investing in a different IEM signature to further choose a better one with a similar signature.
So, yeah, save your precious money and buy something like the Simgot EA500, Hexa, or Dunu Titan S. Do this and you'll be surprised at how a more expensive IEM can sound.

Tbh, this is what OG chu supposed to be. Sadly moondrop already missed the train.

@@huynhxuanviet9818Waner is very good. I have tried the original Chu so far and I absolutely prefer the better sounding bass on Waner. I heard 7hz is close, so buy whichever aesthetic you prefer more, I guess.
