To put the Quick Access Sling change in layman’s terms: Currently, it only activates when swapping from a weapon with an empty magazine, and boosts the handling of the weapon you’re swapping to by 100, as well as increasing all handling aspects (ads and ready/stow speed) for about half a second. After the patch, it will effectively just double ready/stow speed to whatever weapon it is applied to, removing the need to empty the mag to get the swap speed benefits. TL;DR, swap kinda fast all the time, rather than insanely fast when mag empty.

This buff ONLY occurs if you empty the magazine of the weapon with Quick Access Sling and then swap, after which the buff lasts 0.4s. This buff maxes the swapped weapon's handling (+100 Handling), and plays ready/stow/ADS animations 10% faster, separate from Handling (0.9x animation time). Now: Handling is buffed when swapping away from a weapon with Quick Access Sling. You no longer need to empty the magazine of the weapon with Quick Access Sling to have a buffed swapping speed. The swapped weapon plays ready/stow animations 10% faster, separate from Handling (0.9x animation time). ADS times are no longer affected (no more Bow into insta-ADS shotgun, for example). Weapons with low Handling will notice the loss of +100 Handling.

I think what chaperone really needs is less aim assist and bullet magnetism. Make it so you actually need to be accurate and aim for the head instead of just getting close. I think that would be an amazing fix.
agreed, but also bring the range in line with the rest of the legendaries (and maybe then increase roadborn by half a meter). another interesting idea would be to tone down the aim assist a little but change the damage model so that you can't bodyshot + melee and have to go for the head. final off the wall idea is to give it a single round in the mag and reload the mag on headshot kill so you can still go on streaks but only if you have the aim to do so
The range on it would be 100% ok if the cone is shrunk because longer range kills would require more skill to land. And the chaperone Is supposed to outclass the legendaries because it takes the exotic slot. So I'd prefer they adjust the cone and leave the rest alone
@@Xornth Right, I agree that it absolutely needs to outclass the legendaries, but I think roadborn should be that difference, not the base stats. @@sirpr3ce855 but not all bosses are raid bosses. The dungeons all have very mobile bosses and in strikes they move a lot. 9noy raid bosses are stationary, except atheon who does shift around a bit. But even then currently we have some small crit but close range bosses that are exactly what whisper doesn't need
I wonder if the damage boost for Adrenaline Junkie will change because atm, it stacks up to 3 and its I think a 33% or 35% boost (I don't exactly remember).
will probably be the exact same as swashbuckler
I think they said something like they will turn it into a swashbuckler style perk, so increasing the stacks to 5 ig
It's basically just swashbuckler but with grenades
Sounds like a great pairing with top tree voidwalker vortex nades
Yeah swashbuckler is 35% so that’s what it will most likely be at 5 stacks.
They need to make whispers catalyst accessible, and outbreaks
Also Outbreak needs to become a rapid fire frame pulse and have outlaw replaced by rapid hit.
@@AxisChurchDevotee ...wha??
@@KingJerbear it would make it alot better as even with the catalyst, it doesn't feel good to use since lightweight pulse rifles suck.
Outbreak and Whisper catalysts will be accessible in Witch Queen from the world loot pool.
ATM Sleeper Simulant is my go to boss yeeter, so seeing that fun being even better makes me happy :D
Fighting lion is such a fun weapon to use , so I am quite happy with the changes coming to the weapon.
It's so satisfying I'm PvE when you get the rhythm down
@@evanwilson9493 yes it is, and now it will be better since it could reduce the reload time
It seems we will have a raid encounter for whisper and darci, a strike strait for whisper or even an activity for whisper and darci.
Swashbuckler gives a full 5 stack on a single melee kill. If adrenaline junkie is the same but with grenades it becomes much more viable in end game.
This was my exact thought. It's not all that hard to get 1 grenade kill even in something like a GM.
"This is a tweak to the gun so things don't break"
Telesto in the background: I am inevitable
Whisper buff is making me hella nostalgic for kings fall when the best weapons without seasonal mods might just be sleeper and whisper again
I'm excited about the Whisper buff, I'm excited for it to do more damage. Currently it feels like a legendary special sniper that doesn't have a perk because of how many better options we have
Alright, the 0.9 thing with the quick swap mod is a multiplier. This means that it allows you to swap weapon quicker than the normal maximum speed (that max being 100 handling), or in more simple turns it allows you to swap weapons really fast. This is actually the same with outlaw as it also provides a multiplier
Feels like they should remove no distraction from izanagi and just give it vorpal.
that would be super nice, love izanagi’s but its so bad rn
@@sxcculent only because of particle deconstruction which kind of stomps on everything.
Izanagi still remains by far the highest damage per shot special and almost out of any weapon with technically infinite range with solid ammo economy thanks to it being a special which makes it a monster for champion killing. It has combos for boss dps that are among the very highest and for an idea just imagine that with an autoloading vorpal hezen you can about fire of 4hezens+4izanagis in about 10seconds which is not a joke. Its an S tier gun, just particle exists which is really hard to ignore.
Giving it Vorpal would be an incredibly stupid decision
@@darkwolf1739 Imagine 2 izis paired with an arby in a GM after they add intrinsic AB. Arby has disruption break, so 50% bonus damage for both Izis after arby pops shield...
@@rastaraptor6619 Damn, thats a pretty good idea.
DARCI should give extra or larger crit spots that light up when PA's active. Makes sense with the theme of the weapon and would make it actually useful
Datto: Shatterdive can eat my entire a-
Me: well said
I just wish people realized Shatterdive isn't the real problem, it is the grenade fragment.
@@togashi3892 its the fact that you can do enough damage with one grenade to one-shot the tankiest supers in the game from a mile away
@@hyper6220 Which is why Whisper of Fissures, the fragment needs nerfed. Not Shatterdive. The fragment is what increases the range and damage.
I'm really glad I kept my adrenaline junkie Jurassic Green. It was an overall godroll except it was missing multikill clip in favor of adrenaline junkie and knowing that it is now a functioning damage buff like Swashbuckler makes it a solid option for the gun. Multikill clip will still be better especially in the lower stacks Im sure but overall its still gonna feel nice
That gun still will suck. A true godroll on that requires vertical recoil, and needs a lot of help to get that.
@@markmurex6559 I'm aware, I got a vertical recoil on that roll thanks to arrowhead + counterbalance mod, that plus high cal and rangefinder for the range boost makes it a murder machine
I want to know
How I can be ready for the 30th anniversary dungeon, got any recommendations ?
I’m happy to see Whisper is getting some buffs. I wish they’d make it a special but can’t deny this buff makes me interested at least.
Whisper still does the same average dps as 1k voices. Moving it to special would most likely be busted.
@@BronzeDragon0009 I agree, it hits like a truck, and it even feels heavy to use, however, I think Darci is a fairer option to move to Special.
To be fair I haven’t used it in a while. I’ll have to check it out again.
Next on bungie's list should be giving more guns catalysts, for example xeno with auto loading could make it more viable
The pulse monitor buff will make the perk kick in during any gunfight in pvp. A free reload plus bonus handling is going to be huge for either winning a fight you're losing or going right into another fight without needing to reload.
any idea if we can get the whisper catalyst?
Shoulder charinging Titans are okey for this map but not Shatterdive?
I can't wait for the complete full auto setting. I don't have a physical issue but for some reason with malfeasance specifically I frequently screw up my rhythm and my fire rate goes to shit for a moment before I can get back on track
I saw the pulse monitor buffs and i quickly checked to see if pulse monitor unrelenting could roll on any weapon and i couldnt find one. would be a good ad clear gun.
Heavy Sniper buffs are something that I've been waiting for for a while. Same for Arbalest. Underrated weapon Imo. It'll allow the use of Arbalest with somthing like the Ikelos SMG for example. So you'd have warmind cells with PD AND the champion instrinsic mod AND a heavy weapon for more DPS. poggers
Arbalest…underrated?? Did you just recently start playing? Thing was BUSTED awhile back
@@AquilasCry ye im new, but I checked the stats online a few weeks ago and compared to Lorenz, it's stats are worse. Which is why I say its underrated, since Lorenz seems like a much more obvious choice.. but I've heard from my veteran friends on the history of certain weapons. Namely arbalest and qbb (although unrelated to the video, i find it crazy how forgiving the weapon was in terms of headshot registration)
Sola’s scar with chain reaction is already nuts for lost sectors and ad clear in general. It’s gon be even nutter. Also the Lep twab read will be epic.
Place your bets now if Datto goes insane reading this week’s TWAB
Well if you're a risktaker and betted on him actually liking the TWAB, congrats.
I knew my hunch was correct when I shot a sidearm in pvp. My friends thought I was too low iq for saying that sidearms don’t feel like a hitscan. Can’t wait to see the difference in pvp once this rolls out
friends shouldn’t be calling you low IQ for correct observations lol, get new friends
Wait……fusion rifles are supposed to be hitscan? I’ve only played ps4 lol
6:08 does sleeper get the 10% linear buff too? I thought sleepers stats were independent of other linears
It does
I would have preferred Chain Reaction over Archer's Tempo on the Leviathan's Breath.. it would give it more of a power-feel in my opinion
I am Very interested in the malfeasance buff... love the design of that gun
If they remove the ability to make orbs for catalysts then most exotics won't be used half as much as they are.
Huckleberry
I’d be great if exotics could just do it intrinsically
you didn't understand what this is going to do. they are giving more options for weapons to crate orbs so you are not using exotics just because of that effect. you will be able to use exotics because you like them, not because they bleed orbs every second
Hey datto, can I get that first titan’s transmog build?? Cause it’s complete fire.
Lorentz Driver needs to actually take flinch. I was hoping they'd not wait forever to address that.
The Chaperone
> Bull’s Eye - Gain a boost in range and precision damage for a brief moment upon ADS
✨> Roadborn - Precision kills grant increased reload speed, accuracy, and movement speed for a short time.
My request for improvement essentially give the gun what moving target plus firmly planted but in the form of Aiming and you one get it for a few seconds meaning if you don’t land that crit kill then you get no bonus for a short moment
No reason for it to get buffed when it's good as is
I'm just happy about whisper. Hope catalyst options come soon
I love Leviathan's Breathe. One of my favorite exotics, but the fact it struggles to get off more than 1 shot per stunned unstoppable made it rather shit. I will be having a field day come this update.
Out of the three videos I watched about this TWAB, you’re the only person to actually read the change about Quick Access sling properly (saying “times” when seeing the asterisk rather than just ignoring it), but then you complain it’s not in English lol.
hi Datto. do you think gallie is going to be the only rocket launcher used once it returns? bungie is going to really need to change rocket launchers if they want me personally to use use anything else. just was curious of your thoughrs on this. have an awsome day.
I'm liking the announced changes thus far.
i’m absolutely psyched for the arbalest anti barrier. i use that gun for basically every thing end game content.
Also, interesting to note, the Vorpal change is kindof a sneak-nerf on Linears, isn't it? You can use Firing Line on Reed's, but I think MOST linears worth their salt were packing Vorpal. They may have buffed their damage overall, but I think this nerf is gonna pull some of that back a bit. I know all of MY best linears are rocking Vorpal. My ONE adept Reed's with Firing Line doesn't have Clown OR Triple Tap, so... I would feel sad using it :[
It’s counteracted by the +10% buff so a net 5% increase
This is a BEAUTIFUL twab, I love every change. Amazing. 11/10.
Can't wait to get vex and use it in pvp when it's not broken and actually just a good weapon choice that isn't a crutch.
Btw malfeasance still gets a buff to enemies affected by witherhoard which stacks with buffs like lucky pants and tether. Looking forward to a 50% buff 👀
They've done it, they remembered DARCI exists
6 man malfeasance raids are sounding really fun now
So if they're adding a mod that makes all guns able to basically have full auto trigger what happens to all the guns with that perk?
Did they mention anything about the Whisper or Outbreak catalysts...?
I only started playing in Season 13 so it kinda sucks that I have no way to access those......🙃
When I saw the D.A.R.C.I. Buffs coming I almost fell out of my chair because of how shocked I was!
But tbf, it will forever be the PvP measuring stick.
When does this go live ?
Chaperone needs a nerf in general, the range is way too op, they need to bring it in line w other slugs
Then what's the point in it being an exotic?
@@predatorshroom7133 getting kills will increase the range, handling and precision damage, what thy should do is make the normal range be the same is a normal slug but when you get a kill, the range will be the same how it is now
@@predatorshroom7133 “Exotic” doesn’t mean objectively better than every other weapon in that archetype
So will they have it to get the catalyst for the whisper
Whisper one of my fav weapons on looks and sounds glad to see it getting some love
From my understanding, are bungie saying they’re gonna increase the roadborn buff time? Or am I reading that wrkng
I think overall for DPS this season 1k will tower over sleeper bc you can activate particle in one shot and you don’t have to land crits
div + special fusion, you want a div anyway because it stacks with particle.
I think the Linear buffs including Sleeper's are more for post season so Linears don't get left in the vault collecting dust again.
Calling it now, buffed Malfeasance with Lucky Pants is going to melt bosses faster than 1K
Explosion damage isnt buffed by Lucky Pants
I didn't know leviathans breath had a catalyst. How do i get it?
Are these coming or are they already out?
Ok but how do you get whisper cat? I don't have it, and i really wanna get it...
The one thing I'm still unclear on is this: Are all these changes going live now or at some future date like the December 30th anniversary release?
Dec 7
My question with the whisper is will the 2 from reserve for from thin air work properly. So when you get to 0 in your reserves will it just negate 2 and pull 1 from thin air?
Instead of taking 3 bullets from your reserve, it will only take 2. But you do have to have to trigger white nail. So odds are it will grant you one last bullet
I really hope they give us similar insight into what the Void class reworks will look like. I really need to know how they play to make Nightstalker tether usable after 4 years of it being dogshit
Just give it tetherdive be fine bro we swear
They should give it a bigger debuff to enemies. It's currently 30% I believe, if they made it higher, mods like Particle Deconstruction wouldnt completely overshadow Tether.
It needs to activate immediately like it did in D1 at the very least. In pvp I'd much rather have a suppressor grenade over a top tree tether to shut down a super. That really shouldn't be the case.
hot take: They are buffing snipers beacuse next season we will have a sniper mod like BaC and PD in the artifact
That would be a prediction not a hot take
I think what chaperone really needs is less aim assist and bullet magnetism.
If roadborn needs to increase the percentage of range it adds to make it worth it, I'm fine with that. In general I think that designing around the identity of an exotic is more important than making it a stat monster, which is where those other suggestions come from.
@@basilavenue7719 chaperone was the only slug in d1. It's stats should be higher than others. What they can do is push back the range wall on other slugs so that their range matters past 70
