The problem isn't the advancement of technology, it's the fact that humanity's mental game isn't maturing along with it. We're just too dumb, emotional and wrongly motivated for the most part.
People are just too much dependent on technology is the reason for lack of growth.
Emotions make us human tho…if we cool them down too much we lose our special trait and literally become living robots. But i admit that the mental game isn’t maturing enough these past years

The latter is for example social media, YT, cellphones, video games, technology that we don't have to use but we use it anyway. For example the difference between the two is using an electric wheelchair when you are disabled, for the former, or simply because you dont want to walk to go somewhere, for the latter. It gets especially worse when you are doing it all the time and you have no longer the ability to do otherwise. That is when the latter becomes the former. That is, for example, when streamers and YTers and other jobs are created to provide a living to people and they become "depended" on the technology that others are "using it too much" to live. Same goes for people that become disabled because they abused technology. I dont know if I make sense but I hope you get my point.
