@@MrParkerman6 What if the character in Halloween H20 watched scream 1. He would be watching scream's characters watching his mother got chased around.
th-cam.com/video/90OmssgXqG0/w-d-xo.html it was a scene with Michelle Williams and Jodi Lyn O'keefe they were preparing to party on Halloween and Scream 2 was on the TV they had in their dorm.
Classic horror scene now... and inspired by the opening to the original "When A Stranger Calls". If you havn't seen the opening 20 minutes of that movie then go check it out.
I always thought the masked was based on that painting called "the scream" as a kid. I mean they're not identical, but there are definite similarities.
I recently watched Scream 2 and it seems to forget Tatum was Dewey's sister. Tatum is briefly mentioned and Dewey looks a little sad but theres no talk about his feelings. The focus is often on Sydney, but with Gail and Dewey having a romance that wouldve been a heartfelt conversation
Another fun fact: Roger Jackson AKA "The Voice" would later go on to voice another iconic character. That character being, Mojo Jojo, the comical mad scientist chimp whose voice was a parody of the notoriously poor dubbing of Speed Racer and main antagonist, from The Powerpuff Girls. If that doesn't blow your mind, I don't know what will.
A bonus thing I thought you would have included: Scream's monster success gave Wes Craven his first and only chance to direct a non-horror film in his career. One of the Weinsteins called him into the script office after it was clearly going to be a huge moneymaker, and said "Pick anything we own, and you can make it." Which is how "Music of the Heart" got onto Craven's resume, and how he got to claim "I directed Meryl Streep to an Oscar nomination."
How could you not include that that whole scenario was in Scream 3?? One of Roman’s first scenes is the one where he talks about how he just wanted to make a love story-but they said he had to make a scary movie first. “And now [he is] *FUCKED!”* LOL
Probably because the only thing I remember from Scream 3 is Carrie Fischer's glorious scene talking about how she was up for Princess Leia, but who got the part? The bitch who screwed George Lucas, of course.
Yeah 3 was like the ultimate meta-in joke-parody-movie within a movie. (As Gale would say: “How meta can you get?”) They made a Scream film about them making a film about Stab which is about the Woodsboro murders, and *a lot* of the story line was based on real life. Then they went off the deep end with Scream 4.
I’m so glad they decided to name the film _Scream_ and not “Scary Movie”. It’s much more fitting for the film, especially since the iconic Ghostface mask looks like its “screaming” 😱
Here's a bonus BONUS thing you (probably) didn't know: the MPAA slapped the film with an NC-17 rating. So in order to change their minds and get the film an R, the producers told the MPAA to view the film as a comedy instead of a horror film, and it worked.
Trivia Number 10: Rose McGowan (Tatum) actually DID fit through the garage flap door in real life, and it was her idea to add the 'Mom!' as Tatum is seconds away from her neck getting crushed.
I had no idea this channel was run by only you two! that is absolutely inspirational to me. This is by far one of my favorite channels, I assumed there was a huge team! Shoutout to CineFix. 100 Club.
Adriano Vazquez I think that's the biggest problem though, that it's meh. When you have the original scream being so fucking fantastic, than have scream 2 being a very worthy follow up, scream 3 taking such a down Ward dip in quality is gonna make people hate it.
I felt that Scream went down from the original one. The films went off a cliff after the original, but I still enjoyed two and three. Two was much better then three. Number four wasn't that good at all.
In Scream, when she,Tatum, & Dewey are running errands, Sidney says that the streets remind her of the movie, “The town that dreaded sundown.” about a masked serial killer that was never caught. Finally watched it, pretty good. Then I search for other movies like this and find, “Are you in the house alone?” is about a HS girl being terrorized by a stalker with phone calls and letters. Even though the wording is different, Sidney calls Stu and Billy and asked, “Are you alone in the house?” I love little hints like this in movies, it’s like a scavenger hunt
I literally have watched this video like 100000 times because scream I my favorite movie and CANNOT get enough of the movie. I have met pretty much every single person in the original cast other than Courtney Cox and Skeet 😭👏🏼
I was a subscriber since I think what was the beginning of Cinefix. Followed your superhero training series. I've seen the channel evolve and although it's kinda sad that there were many more of you before, you still have the best content about movies on TH-cam. No country for old men is turning 10 in November. You guys should totally do a things you didn't know about that. Either that or Halloween because the next things you didn't know is gonna be awfully close to Halloween.
The ghostface mask was BASED off a mask that was found at a halloween store. They didn't have the rights to use the original mask, so they designed their own based on it. They altered the eyes and the mouth.
I think what stands out about Scream compared to other slasher movies is that it adds an element of a murder mystery while keeping the Ghostface mask as an iconic image to associate with the franchise, since the identity of who's in the Ghostface mask changes over time. In some way, it's like a slasher movie that goes back to it's early slasher roots, such as Hitchcock's movies, old Italian giallo movies, etc. 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

Everyone knew before clicking on this he would say the original name for the movie was scary movie. This is one of the most common knowledge things people do know about the movie
I noticed a little Easter egg the last time I watched Scream. If you listen during the scene where everyone is watching Halloween, at the part in Halloween that Michael kills Bob, you can hear one of the kids watching the movie say that it’s obviously fake because Bob’s blood is too bright. Doesn’t seem too important until a few minutes later when Ghostface “kills” billy. If you notice, when billy turns to look at Sidney, the “blood” on his shirt is a much brighter shade of red than the other blood shown in this movie. You may say that it’s because blood gets lighter when it gets out of the body, but keep in mind he was supposedly just stabbed, so there is no way the blood would be that bright. You can even see after Sidney stabs him that the blood on his shirt from that wound is much darker than the fake blood he used earlier. This might be me just reading too deeply into this, but if it isn’t, then it makes me appreciate Wes Craven as a director even more.
