    Love both your makes again Karina. What a handy cardi! When don't we need to have one of those?! I laughed when describing the fabric for your dress, "That Versace stuff" - you should be selling fabric honestly :))) and your dress also looks beautiful on you. What a great fit, nice flow to the skirt section and the whole dress just skims your body which I also think looks classy.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not a huge follower of designers but Versace has such a distinct print style, I recognise it :) I love skimming type dresses. That makes them wearable and I don't feel self conscious.

    Clever, clever, clever love these makes love the top you are wearing and the dress is so pretty. I would never have thought of making a lace top out of a normal top pattern what great idea, I ordered the Love Notions ladies tee shirt o my goodness just bought a printer never used one before I just do not have a clue how to get started it looks so complicated, so many instructions I think I’m to old to be doing this sort of thing. 🤓🤪

    I love this mash up! Could you have cut the skirt and top in one piece since the patterns matched up? I'm still learning about patterns.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d rather have the separate pieces for the shaping I need on the front of my body to accommodate the volume of my bust. Being one piece, that shaping can’t be done and the bust ends up pulling the dress up in the center front. That’s the reason a separate bodice is so much better.

    Karina, I LOVE all of the garments you made using these hacks! I have to try all of them. Thank you so much for the ideas! Did you make the skirt that you’re wearing with the v-neck t-shirt? If you did, what pattern did you use? I love your channel so much!!!

      The skirt is self drafted from my skirt block but can be made from the base of a pencil skirt. No pattern for it, but you can do it too! This is the video about it: th-cam.com/video/0VExH0x5ayg/w-d-xo.html

    Good evening Katina, I pray that you and your family are doing well. I love your 2nd dress that you made and yes the fabric looks like something that Versace would use to make one of his original designs with. One question I have for you. You raglan top you wore today - did you use the v-neck method that you learned a few months ago that you never seen or heard of before and make a video on? I have tried to find this video and have been unsuccessful in finding it, can you please help me? Like many, sometimes we have a hard time with v-neck bindings and you make it so look so easy and they turn out perfect. Your sewing techniques, ideas, and tips have given me the passion, inspiration, drive, and creativity to take my sewing to the next level and for this I want to thank you very much. Many of your videos I have watched several times as I get more information every time I watch them.

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The V neckband on my raglan tee is the normal V neckband method for a knit top. The one you refer to is the tiny one on my stripe Rhapsody dress? I haven’t filmed it actually. That technique is fiddly and a tad more advanced. I’ve noticed that advanced techniques are not viewed much at all when I try to post them.

    • @EileenR11

      @@LiftingPinsandNeedles I wonder if people are put off because it looks or feels too difficult? I always find your videos helpful, whatever the subject, and explained in a really clear and simple way. I don't know if there's a way to get that sense (that it will be fun and not so scary) into the title and thumbnail? I may be off target, but just a thought. Thanks for all you do. x

    • @LiftingPinsandNeedles
      @LiftingPinsandNeedles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@EileenR11 it’s the fact that it’s a very specific technique that many people are not searching to sew. It’s too specific. A lot of viewers will most likely not watch a more advanced technique and I’ve proved that over and over.
