The Royal blue top you show in the video , I ABSOLUTELY gorgeous . I am a bit busty and I love tops like this so I will be making one just like this , but I did not know how to do gathers well. So thanks for teaching me.
Omg......yes , yes and YESSSS. That's exactly why I started back sewing I have a few perfectly fitting tops that I just love so much but never, ever find any that fits so perfectly , that's I told my husband I will have to sew my own . Girrrrrl , well that's exactly what I did . I have one I sew I practically lives in. You are just so right , I have to comment. I love your channel . Your method is so easy for beginners like so me .......looking forward to your next video sweetie , ❤❤❤❤❤
Another fantastic video Katrina. You are helping the seamstresses of the viewing audience advance their skills and multiple their joy in sewing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 😊❤️🌺
Another nice hack. Made me smile to see how happy I are, esp. With the red one on the cropped trousers. How great is it, to have an outfit that feels so right. 💕
When I watch you on these vlogs, I want to rush over and purchase the pattern. You make the hacks look so fun. This looks amazing on you with your pairings.
Hi Karina. I see you have made a lot of followers for this version. I am part of them. I already have this pattern. I have to finish what I am sewing now and then. ......GO ! !!!!! What a great idea (as usual ). Thank you Karina for sharing 😍
I LOVE that red top! The other one is cute, but the red one shows the details so much better -- as you said -- and red looks amazing on you! I may have to try that. I did order the pattern.
I really enjoyed this tutorial! You could use this concept with any standard top pattern. It would be so easy to use elastic in the front neckline (adjusted to the size you need) and just tack a tie to the front to make it look like a drawstring. It had never occurred to me to just make a portion of the neckline gathered like that. Really great video and really lovely tops!!!
Today I’m going to try this on a wearable (?) muslin. It’s a challis fabric I ordered online which is totally sacrificial. I’m also going to try a Rhapsody Blouse 3/4 sleeve. I’m excited. Thank you for this idea and tutorial!
Thanks for this video. I’m saving it for future reference. I also like the back seam because it makes for a more flattering fit. I think you could have sewn the casing with the tie inside and therefore have not needed to leave any opening which would need to be closed.
Gorgeous! I think you will be sewing this lovely top for all the ladies in your family now. 😻😻😻 So if you loosen the tie, does it widen the U neck? Was really interesting how you engineered the neck volume. Love it. 💚💚💚
Thank you! I have just finished a dress I might never had tried, except for your tips and encouragement! It is made of a rayon challis and very "slinky - bendy." I kept the selvedges very straight as I cut it out, and used lots of spray starch. I made bias tape, too! It is lovely, I feel I have learned new skills, thanks to you!
Hi Karina. The red top is a great “copy” of the RTW. And it is definitely an improvement in many ways on the original. The finishing is much classier and the length and fit is superior. I also love the practice version. I particularly love that you cut the bird’s head off so you can’t tell it’s a bird on the back of practice top (lol. Just joking) 😏
I loved this method. I know how to do it so will have a try. I am wondering what kind of fabric you used as it is so difficult not being able to touch fabric at the moment. What would I search for online please.
That looks great and I have this pattern - I love it but found the sleeveless armholes too big. The sleeved pattern is wonderful so if I make a sleeveless, I use the sleeved version which works fine. I'm going to try this gathered version of your - thanks for sharing!
So, I won't need a side dart at all even though I'm an F cup? I have made the Harmony top, and the full bust pattern required a 4" wide bust dart for me.
For a larger dart, you could transfer part of the dart to the neckline and keep part of it on the side. I think it would distribute the space better. I’m only a C cup.

Very interesting hack, I would never have thought about it in that way.. I will look into that blouse pattern, I like it. Great video.
It’s a great base to play with darts :)
Super fun.
Beautiful top. Nicely done instructions. Red is a beautiful color on you. The navy printed one looks lovely too. 🧵
Thank you so much 😊

Another hit! Both are beautiful on you! Going to try moving the darts and branch out my skills. Thanks again!
Moving darts is super fun and the possibilities are endless :)
Beautiful work and great video.
Absolutely beautiful and well done!!!

Very nice. Love the French seams. Love the dart manipulation into darts…. Will try it.
Just beautiful Karina! AMAZING MAKES!!! WELL DONE LADY!!💜
Thank you so much 😊

I sure appreciate this hack. This one and the other with the added piece (stripe) down the centre
Thanks! You make learning new techniques fun.
Beautiful revision. I’m going to try this!

Thanks Karina, I’m making your top today! Love your channel!
I LOVE that red top! The other one is cute, but the red one shows the details so much better -- as you said -- and red looks amazing on you! I may have to try that. I did order the pattern.
Thank you so much 😊. I know solids show the details best, but I’m a sucker for prints and it’s harder to get the basics sewn.
What a great pattern hack. I'm buying now. Thanks
That red one is my favorite too!
I like the way you showed how moving the dart was done and showing how this adds volume to the place where you want it. Very good instruction.
I Love what you did to that simple blouse pattern. You are such a creative person, and you know how to teach really well. Love Up Close and Personal
Karina, you are amazing!
This is so lovely. Can't wait to try this on my harmony blouse
fantastic tutorial, cant wait to make one for myself. Beautiful outfits. Thank you
How fun! I’d love to see yours when you make it!
Love your red top! You did such a fantastic job! Now I'm going to order the Harmony and make some for summer! Thank you sew much Karina😊❤👍
Thank you for another great video!
You’re very welcome 😉
A PERFECT top...I love it :) :) :) I now need this pattern. Red is my go to colour too, you look gorgeous in it. xxxxx
What a great video!!!
Love both of your makes!!
I think this is such a cool idea!!!
Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you so much 😊. This was a very awaited project to come to life.
Love the “limitless sewing” idea! Please keep making these types of videos!
Thank you so much 😊. These are the best projects for me.
Thank you, I really enjoyed this and learned something new.
I’m so glad. Thanks for watching 😊.

Yup. Any top with a dart somewhere. The sky is the limit. The elastic would be so much easier, but I wanted to push myself this time :)
I was thinking the same about the elastic. Lazy sewing on my part. 😊

Ok, this video convinced me to actually purchase the Harmony!
You’ll love it. It’s so flattering :)
Such a beautiful alteration and really flattering. I’m going to give this a go. Thank you.
Beautiful makes! I love the print of your test version.
Thank you! I have just finished a dress I might never had tried, except for your tips and encouragement! It is made of a rayon challis and very "slinky - bendy." This is rayon/linen blend light weight. Super drapy fabric. I want to do this again in navy blue :)
That looks great and I have this pattern - I love it but found the sleeveless armholes too big. The sleeved pattern is wonderful so if I make a sleeveless, I use the sleeved version which works fine. I'm going to try this gathered version of your - thanks for sharing!
That is weird, red is my favorite color to!!

Hi Chris. You can see in the description box it’s says affiliate link harmony blouse and if you click there, it’ll take you to the pattern :)
