      The 650 mg extended release is either called arthritis or muscle aches and pains. I read the ingredients and then I called the company and I said I think this is just a marketing tool and they agreed, so it doesn't matter which one you buy, exactly the same, just saying.

    Tylenol brand comes in Extended Release 650 mg which is what I take, brand only, because store brands are different - I have tried them, not only do they not work as well for me but they contain a whole bunch of extra "fillers" which I am highly sensitive to and I found out the hard way I cannot take them. Incidentally, I get very little pain relief with Tylenol, the extended release is supposed to last 8 hours but I can barely get five to six hours minimal help as I'm a fast metabolizer, so everyone's different as you know, but thanks for the info.

    • @daisyblue7209
      @daisyblue7209 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, thanks for the information! I also take 8 hour 650mg. I have to take it every day for chronic back pain. Tried physical therapy and they told me now that I'm older the pain is there to stay. Tylenol is the only pain medication I tolerate. I have been using the store brand all this time thinking it would be the same as name brand as far as helping pain but now that I have read your post I am going to try the name brand and see if I notice a difference because I also have a problem with added fillers and the 8-hour does not last 8 hours. I usually take one and wait an hour or two and then take another one to stretch it out and then before bed do the same thing 😊

    I can’t take anything for pain except Tylenol because of heart & stomach problems. I take the Arthritis Strength. I have chronic pain, I’ve had two back fusions, cartilage gone in both knees & arthritis all over my body.. I know the label says 2 tablets every 6 hours. I’m trying to only take it twice a day. But I recently had bloodwork done and my liver enzymes were elevated. Is it okay for me to continue the Tylenol?

    • @jondiel1912
      @jondiel1912 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Two tablets of 650mg 4 times a Day is 5200mg a day. The maximum dose is 4g a day. If your liver enzymes are going up, you should definitely reduce your dose or even discontinue it if possible. Acetaminophen is for acute pain. It is not a chronic pain medication. There are better treatments for chronic pain. Please consult your doctor.

    • @claresteen4708
      @claresteen4708 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would definitely ask your doctor about that. It's one thing to see an elevated liver enzymes test, it's another thing to figure out if it's clinically significant (if you need to do anything about it).

      Linda Reed - go to Pain Management, usually they are anesthesiologists who understand pain, and they can help you. I can relate, I've had several back surgeries and have all the other problems you mentioned and many more, and I have to take 2-4 pills a day in addition to my pain meds which have no Tylenol in them and I'm still in agony and can barely move or function at all. I know the box says I can take more but I am absolutely keeping the dose under 3000 mg which is what they have changed it to recently.

    That was a great video👏🏾👏🏾 I’m glad I listened to it.. I take Tylenol for arthritis and back pain..I compared the generic to the namebrand and it seemed as if to be the same thing ..so that’s what I buy ..and it really does work.. I thought there was no difference ..I’m glad I made the right choice to do this.. you’re paying for the name when it comes to Tylenol.. the equivalent works just as well..The dosage .. I use is different..I do not take the Maximum dosage because I have issues with my kidneys.. I take two 500 mg every 12 hours which really helps me make it through the day ..and night..This was the recommendation from my doctor because I cannot take prescription pain medication. guys. ..Thanks For posting this video🥰

      A quick google says long-term use can damage the liver. You should talk to your doctor on how to reduce dependency on this medication and how you can fall and stay asleep without it. Looking at non-medicated sleep and pain management.

    • @jondiel1912
      @jondiel1912 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Acetaminophen is the only drug that is considered safe for use during pregnancy. It’s an analgesic and an antipyretic. It’s not used as a sleep medication. However, at this time, I wouldn’t consider other sleep medication as it may interfere with your pregnancy particularly during delivery.

    In my country paracetamol and dipyrone are used pretty much interchangeably as over the counter painkillers. It'd be interesting to know the differences between both and maybe when you should take of them instead of ibuprofen, for instance.

    • @rodneymills6477
      @rodneymills6477 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dipyrone is banned in the US, so they probably don't know much about it. PT's aren't doctors, and for some things they are a lot better than doctors. Medicine isn't one of those things. I'm sure they have been taught about Tylenol, but they wouldn't know about a drug that isn't used in our country.
      Most of the time, you probably want to take ibuprofen. If something lasts more than a week on a regular course of ibuprofen, switch to Tylenol and see a doctor.

    • @rodneymills6477
      @rodneymills6477 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jondiel1912 yes, I have had a gastric bypass, so I have no stomach. I have a tiny golf ball sized pouch made from a part of the stomach. So I cannot absorb foods or medication in a proper and healthy way. I have to have double, triple, or quadruple the amounts of many vitamins and minerals every day to stay alive. I cannot take anything for pain other than acetaminophen, due to the caustic nature of advil, or aleve among others. 1 500mg pill does absolutely nothing. The whole point of tyelnol as it tricks your brain into thinking you are not in pain. It does nothing for the actual pain itself. It does not help inflammation at all. As the link will show. I had never heard of acetaminophen poisoning, so when I had to have blood work done for something else the results alerted my doctor to the problem. My dentist told me to just take tylenol after having a cracked molar pulled it was an other wise healthy tooth, so it didn't come out easily. I was in agony and I always take 4 tylenol to ease headaches and other pain. I thought nothing of, I wasn't showing any of the typical effects of the poisoning (or any at all really). So when my doc called very upset and I told her why, she said to stop taking them immediately and in a week have more labs drawn. I was also taking a lethal dose of bezodiazepines for over 20 years (clinic psychiatrist prescribed them to me without me knowing what they did other than help my anxiety) so I am also weaning off of those (been 3 years so far- another 7 to go before it is out of my bone marrow)

    If I take them more than two days in a row it gives me a gastritis flare

      That's unfortunate because acetaminophen is the least gastric "irritating" pain reliever. You have to be more cautious with ibuprofen, naproxen and even celecoxib.

    "...Very good I think that covers everything." 🤣🤣🤣

    - [x] Time to get right with Jesus. nobody is automatically gonna go to heaven at the end of it, we all have lied or stolen or had sex before marriage and the punishment is hell. Jesus died so you can get a clean slate and forgiveness of future sins if you repent of them once you commit them, so you receive the gift of forgiveness by following him. When you start you have to stop sinning, and follow his word and obey it. That’s following Jesus. Read your Bible!
