Also works great with bucatini, italian sausage is just great with so many pasta recipes, forgot to get it though when I made this (even had it on the list smh).
This is great. I just happened to have some leftover cream cheese but used green onions instead of the garlic because I'm going for a massage soon and don't want to assault my lady with my breath. Accidentally poured out all the water and just substituted the usual, I'll bet lots of people do that. I even had a measuring cup handy to remind myself. Nope. I will make this again and again. Thank you for the recipe.
Yes! Is delicious..and when you add the olive oil add 2 tbsp of butter 🧈 and then add your garlic...then add the cream cheese and some sweet peas..fresh or dry parsley or basil. I add a little bit of white wine to mine ummm yumm 😋 I know I changed the recipe but that is the best part of cooking cuze you become creative. I hope you like both ways. Enjoy 😉
I wanted to use up some cream cheese and thought pasta would go well, found this video just to give a rough outline of things It comes out good, I just want to warn that preparing cream cheese this way heightens the tanginess of it, so be prepared for that.
Parmesan cheese is pretty salty and adds savory flavor, if you skip it the sauce will be a bit bland. But if you want to use just cream cheese and chili is ok, just make sure the seasoning is right. And don't skip the garlic :). Enjoy x
Just made it, came out too thick I think I should have used more water. I also added a couple tablespoons of milk. I served over a chicken cutlet. Still was delicious. Next time I’ll have it down
Do I have to add garlic to this recipe? I can't eat garlic. I was just wondering if it will would be wise to cook the cream cheese in oil still, or not add the oil.
@The Clever Meal I have some at home I can use I will make this this weekend as a side I think with a steak. I've never made my own sauce like this before but it looks good
I'm not a big fan of tomato sauce and cream cheese together, but it might work, just make sure to find the right balance, the sauce should coat the pasta, not drown it 😉
@@theclevermeal8142 I read your comment about tomato and cream cheese. But please try picante sauce ( yes ! Mexican salsa) over a softened brick of cream cheese. Serve with tostada chips. It's so good !
@@theclevermeal8142 My Mexican friends serve it at parties. Just pour the salsa over the plain softened cream cheese - no need to mix it. Dig at the cheese with your chips..... It's addictive !
I just made it, it was horrible, it tasted bitter and I hated the olive oil and parmesan, next time I'll leave those out, in fact I don't think I'll bother anymore
Delicious. Just made it. Philadelphia cream cheese is best. I substituted penne pasta and added Italian sausage. VERY easy and tasty recipe.
So yummy! 😋 Thanks for sharing your feedback. x
and with tons of fat xD

I bought some cream cheese.. I got pasta and just got frozen jumbo shrimp ... ima put my Lil twist to it lol
It could taste good with herb and garlic cream cheese
So is this basically the fastest way to make an alfredo sauce? lm sold.
Great! 😉
I never really had sea food can you do small sea food boil like crab legs an corn etc plzzz ☺
It was amazinggg! I added some smoked duck and wow 👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️

What would happen if i did not add parmesan cheese ?
I just want to add cream cheese and chili
Parmesan cheese is pretty salty and adds savory flavor, if you skip it the sauce will be a bit bland. But if you want to use just cream cheese and chili is ok, just make sure the seasoning is right. And don't skip the garlic :). Enjoy x
Thank u
You're very welcome!
Looks amazing, could we use yellow cheese instead of mozzarella. Will it taste the same?
Hi!! There's no mozzarella in the recipe, all you need is cream cheese and parmesan cheese 😊
@@theclevermeal8142 Oh thank you!
@@Fatal_asri you're very welcome!
😋
Is adding more pasta water the best way to thin it out? My first attempt was decent but the sauce was too thick
That would be enough to thin the sauce, easy peasy 😉
Really need this right now .... 😩😩😩
Get the ingredients and make it! 😉💛
Genius
Much easier than Alfredo sauce
It really is x
The cold Philadelphia cream cheese should be okay to use right for this recipe? Looks really good, wanna try it right noww!
just wondering how adding the cold cheese to a hot pan is okay or not..
@@fatimanaveed5440 It's fine 😊
You can microwave the cream cheese for a minute to soften it too. But not in its foil wrapper, put in a microwave safe bowl.
Just made it, came out too thick I think I should have used more water. I also added a couple tablespoons of milk. I served over a chicken cutlet. Still was delicious. Next time I’ll have it down
Can I add salt
Can I omit barmisan cheese ? As I don’t have it
Hi! You can skip it... but the sauce might taste a bit bland without the parmesan cheese. x
Can I use mascarpone cheese
Is it fine to put pepper?
I dont have parmesan cheese..can i skip it?
Do I have to add salt or not??
Oh the things I could add to this…tuna, sardines etc. thx
Enjoy! 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can I use cheddar cheese instead of parm?
You won’t get the same flavor unfortunately
Do I have to add garlic to this recipe? I can't eat garlic. I was just wondering if it will would be wise to cook the cream cheese in oil still, or not add the oil.
Hi! Don't skip the olive oil, it adds flavor. If you prefer, you can make the cream cheese sauce without heating the oil. x
Just fry up some shallot instead of garlic
can i use mozzarella cheese instead??
Mozzarella doesn't work in the recipe, sorry x
How much water do I need to use?
Please have a look at the recipe on the website (link is below the video), you’ll find there quantities and method. Thanks 😊
Thanh you, can’t wait to try it
@@theclevermeal8142 OMG🥰🥰🥰 I made this tonight and it has changed my life. Thank you for sharing 🥰🥰😊

Would it be good to add Cheddar cheese too?
Yes as long as you don’t skip the Parmesan xx
@The Clever Meal I have some at home I can use I will make this this weekend as a side I think with a steak. I've never made my own sauce like this before but it looks good
Can u use the triangle cream cheese?
I’ve never used it, sorry… but it should be fine as long as it’s cream cheese and tastes nice 😉
Is it okay if I'm using mozzarella instead of parmesan?
Sorry for the late reply! Parmesan adds savoury flavor, mozzarella doesn’t. You might try, but the end result is different. X
@@theclevermeal8142 alright tqsm✨
Can i add cream cheese and milk
Milk instead of pasta cooking water? Yes you can, but season the sauce accordingly
On what heat does the pan have to be? Medium?
Yes, medium heat is fine, here is the recipe: theclevermeal.com/10-minute-cream-cheese-pasta/
Can i use garlic powder?
Nothing beats fresh garlic, but garlic powder should work ok. Go easy on the quantity x
I am missing the nutmeg 😊
How much cream cheese?
Here is the recipe… 👇
theclevermeal.com/10-minute-cream-cheese-pasta/
It looks good but it looks very bland. I'd want to add some pepper, a little freshly ground nutmeg and maybe some parsley or basil.
I tried it but I got that sour taste from cream cheese. How to avoid it
Good quality cream cheese has a mild, rich taste, not sour in my opinion. Maybe it wasn’t fresh? X
How much of everything do we put in
You should never add Parmesan to a heated pan, it's always best to add it off the heat.
Almost like Fettuccine sauce.
what would happen if i add tomato sauce to the mix?
I'm not a big fan of tomato sauce and cream cheese together, but it might work, just make sure to find the right balance, the sauce should coat the pasta, not drown it 😉

This is first time I hear of this issue, the quantity of liquid was clearly off. Sorry x
