I’m absolutely smitten. They are truly works of art, aren’t they? I love antiques, so I’ll watch this several times...thanks so very much for sharing with us. Your work is not work but a love and a joy. Thanks for the tour.
Thanks for watching. I know they're tough to get through, boring, shaky, rambling, etc. I am trying, little by little I hope they improve. I really want to thank you for your support. I have only 450 more hours of watch-time to go in order to get monetized. Fixing clocks for free doesn't pay very well, so I am hoping to make a little money from TH-cam to fund my passion. If I charged people what a clock repair shop would charge 99% of the clocks I save would go unrepaired. I can't let that happen to these sentimental treasures!
Love your clocks! A few thoughts come to mind:. 1. Hours of weekly/daily dusting and winding? 2. Appears to be in an attic or upstairs room. 3. Do the ghosts like the clocks? 4. You must HAVE to have an extensive insurance rider. 5. I'm so jealous of some of those! Very lovingly kept and cared.
Gorgeous collection it’s so wonderful to see how much you care for these clocks. If only they could talk oh what the stories they could tell .Love to see you and Amy have so much fun.
My friend had a beautiful grandfather clock she got from her grandmother. It was dark wood and arched on top. It has the counter weights. I had asked her to come live with me years ago and she said "what would I do with grandfather?" I said bring him along then realized that is what she called her clock. She loved her clock. I hope one of her children found it to be special like she did. You have a great collection. Your videos are great to watch. You share what you like with us.
Yep you as I got bitten by the clock bug. Sadly though it would seem the generational slip into the abyss of the careless mindless world of plastic electronic device. Which has festered that lack of interest or care of history and our past or the ingenious inventions and achievements of our past before the microchip in which without it there likely would be no plastic electronic devices to be controlled by. It is nice to see that there are some survivors that appreciate the wonders and works of the past. 😁👍👍👍👍👍
I love the old clocks, what's the story behind how you got started, maybe pick a clock and tell the story on how it came to you, and some of its history . And if you work on them maybe do a video on you working in it. I think this is awesome!
I understand that first bit. Where you said it was "obsessive". Honestly, after the last clock you get you always tell yourself, "when's the next one? what can I get next? Where could I put it?". Sometimes it's overwhelming haha. You have a fantastic collection, obsession stuff aside.
Thanks for watching. My obsession comes from being able to fix almost anything. I am constantly driving past, or walking past things, saying to myself, ....I can fix that. Everything from lawn mowers, snow blowers, and bicycles, to vacuums, clocks, and even cars. That is my issue, I want to fix everything and save them from the scrap heap.
I come from a clock loving family . i bought my Mother a grandfather clock in the 80,s when my Mom passed I let my nephew keep the clock he had a tattoo of a grandfather clock with Nana inside it . Plus other kinds cuckoo clocks chimers and others . 💖💖

You no doubt get them from all over.....do you spend lots of money for them? When you see a clock do you say to yourself, "I just have to have that!"? Or do you ssy, "I'm not paying that much for that clock." I have about 80 clocks total - but only 17 are designed to chime, and they all chime. You're the kind of guy who seems to have a lot of time on your hands but over your brief preview of many beautiful clocks, very, very few were working. You may be overwhelmed at this point with the collecting part and underwhelmed with the repairing part. It would be so nice to hear all the ones that chime, chime on the hour. Come to my house - it's beautiful to listen to. Thanks for the tour......but don't waste time - get tickin'!

Have you ever found a clock in a dumpster and if so can you show us and tell us the story /history of it and its repairs done and approximate value of the find. Thanks 😁
This was my best dumpster find: I went to an auction last summer. As I was leaving the parking lot I passed an overflowing dumpster. I had to look. Under a broken up table I saw what looked like a spindle from an old pillar clock. I pulled it out and dug around a bit. A little deeper was a bunch of clock parts. I pulled everything I could reach and put it in my car. When I got home I pieced together 3 complete clocks and one with about half of the parts. Go back and look at this video. At 3:38 you can see 2 of the clocks. They are in the back, on the floor. All three of the clocks I found in the dumpster had wooden movements with no broken parts. I haven't begun working on any of them yet, but I love working on the wooden movements. All of my dumpster clocks are from around 1820 to 1840. When finished they will be worth a few hundred dollars each.

There are literally thousands of "newer" grandfather clocks. I couldn't give an accurate price, but I can tell you that it would be in great condition and it would be less than you would pay anywhere else. If you send me a picture of the type you are looking for I can be more accurate with a quote.
Sir, your clock collection is magnificent, but unfortunately the audio associated with the video is indistinct, rising and falling, and I could not make out the half of what you were saying. So I'm afraid the value of the video was lost to me. Part of my job is to broadcast - please speak clearly and distinctly, as if the listener is 10 feet away from you and slightly deaf :-) Apologies for the critique

Impressive Clock Collection! I love the Foreign Clocks, ie French Clocks in your collection! You have been doing this for a long time, Wonderful!
French clocks are a little over done - if you know what I mean.
Just read a piece in Garden & Gun about Boone's Antiques near Wilson North Carolina and the rows of grandfather clocks.
Awesome!
My grandfather was a clock repairman and dealer. He's gone now, but at one time he had 750 antique clocks.
good repairmen are needed!

Is the contest over to enter to win a clock
Dwayne how much would you charge for a newer grandfather clock?
There are literally thousands of "newer" grandfather clocks. I couldn't give an accurate price, but I can tell you that it would be in great condition and it would be less than you would pay anywhere else. If you send me a picture of the type you are looking for I can be more accurate with a quote.
Oh my goodness please get back to me you have one of my grandfather clocks the exact one
The one with a painted face plate with red corners it says 1753 on the front
Sir, your clock collection is magnificent, but unfortunately the audio associated with the video is indistinct, rising and falling, and I could not make out the half of what you were saying. So I'm afraid the value of the video was lost to me. Part of my job is to broadcast - please speak clearly and distinctly, as if the listener is 10 feet away from you and slightly deaf :-) Apologies for the critique
What time is it?
Any clocks from the 50’s or 60’s?
Nice😍
