Maybe to get a view on what's going on inside especially right now during the covid situation. Plus you know it would mean alot to the dudes lock down to have someone who can relate to talk to.

I don't know much about Philippines but I know a lot of Asian cultures are hardcore about respecting elders/superiors, ect. He was probably raised to say 'sir' by his parents or something.

I get treated same way people are shocked when they see me then i talk there like how does he have respect lol because that is one thing u learned locked up is respect but honestly jus because we had a hard life and ma parents were on drugs it wasnt always that way before they broke bad they taught me to respect ma fellow man and women i just al so made mistakes remember yinz yung ones ones day one hour one momente can change your life

Such a different experience for an Asian on the west coast. I am from west palm beach, south fl. There is no "car" or segregation. Ive only done jail time. I was the only Asian woman and was severely made fun of from the start for being Asian. I had no "Asian posse" to back me up and the racial slurs and the way I was treated was terrible. It didn't help that I was super green either. I didn't run on the streets and the majority were blacka. I just had a terrible drug addiction at the time and that's how I landed there.

This breaks my heart. My Godson is 16 and the DA is trying to charge him as an adult. It’s sad that California just wants to throw these kids in the system instead of having some type of boot camp to where they have a chance to join the military at 18.

IDK about this back book route but California Asian Gangs out here is one of the first foundation to established Southeast Asian Gangs across the states, especially towards the east coast/ NewEngland Areas. Kali guys got a different swag to them guys out there. Just like the southern Kali guys is more aggressive than the Northern Kali guys. The northern guys they more passive aggressive and handle their business in a different way.
It’s just like Guam (I was born there) which is near the Philippines they speak Spanish there too.
Bcoz guam belongs to philippines back then and saipan too when philippines deafeat spaniards the spaniards cant accept their defeat they sell the philippines to USA 80% of filipino live in guam

Some good advice for youngsters is to move away when you're old enough... Go to college in another state of you can, but either way, move to a different part of the country when you're in your early 20s. You're not stuck where you are. All you gotta do is pack your car and move. See the rest of the country, you can always move back home later.

@@AndrewDelgado-og6es You should do it man. The best time is before you're married with kids. I had to travel 1,600 miles to find my wife and it's the best thing I ever did. There's so much to see just in our country alone. People often feel like they're trapped in the area they're born in, but they usually aren't. You're the only one that can determine your own happiness.

Alot of those asian hoods down there formed to protect themselves from other hoods...its harder to NOT join a gang when theres a diff hood on every single block...he actually look like somebody i knew from TRG lol

This dudes neighborhood was known in my day. Same as TRS, 18 St. and a few crip sets. Between western and Vermont, and Melrose & 3rd. That neighborhood was a war zone in the late 80’s early 90’s.

Yep. Level 4 mainline, then a step above that is the : level 4 S.H.U. (security housing unit) where the inmates remains in "the hole"(pretty much) where they do their time alone and no other contact with other inmates a.k.a. Solitary Confinement . 🙏🏼✌
