You can't expect a corporation that needs to appease investors to focus on post development of a game when they have another cow known as GTAV that they can milk for more than 10x the profits red dead online ever could for them. This is not me saying it was bad or didn't have potential, I'm just saying that from the perspective of making money it was a pretty obvious decision.
