From one dad to another, can I just say that this wins for the most dad parenting activity I’ve seen in a while. “Come on darling, let’s play ‘modify daddy’s chainsaw’ then. Here, hold this!” Couldn’t have done it better myself 😂

I didn't catch why you made this mod. Was it to add 2 inches or use extra chains you have on hand?

great saw for use on trees and clean wood only.. the convenience of self sharpening is good welcoming... but if you are to use this on wood that may be nailed or bolted etc replace

I wonder if the tensioning is strong, doesn't it loosen ? Is the bar tightly screwed on for milling use on a Cub or intersect, not wobbly ? Shame its 102 links, I have six 100 link chains from you for this stihl bar, I think I will buy it thanks for sharing this :D I even found a CS1400 version which is the same but 5cm less ba and it's already without the self sharpening gimmick.

Does the A041 pattern oiling slot on the saw line up with the Panther bar? I thought you'd have to mod the the saw body or file the bar to make it work. It's also crying out to have a husky sideplate bodged on to give you a decent chain tensioner. I may have been mulling over this exact same project for a while...

I was wondering if it was possible to use a different bar. I need a dime tip bar to make a better bear carving than my first one (see video). Anyone have ideas on what parts I need to make that happen on the CS 1500? (Tip: Next time place the saw on your lap with the motor hanging down between your legs to stabilize it.)

Not sure what the point of this video was. The title doesn't tell us you're throwing away most of the manufacturer components for ... ? Why? I'm bloody sure that 99% of people viewing this did not want to modify their new saw.

most useless vid ever . not everyone can change the parts . would have been a better vid if you just assembled the chainsaw with all the parts that come with the chainsaw in the box. :(

Anyone can put a bar on a chainsaw I’m not sure what that would show 🤷

Indeed, that’s why I got to this vid, to see how the Oregon is assembled..
Wasted my time with this 😣
