This the most beautiful version of this song ever. Alfies emotion comes through so well, anyone not touched by this needs to see a Doc. Just beautiful!
This is the perfect accompaniment for Alfie and this song. The instruments don't overpower the voice, or make it too much. they let the beauty of alfie's voice be the star. it's beautiful.
The song is beautiful and the man is beautiful, the passion and the expression will live for ever, I really needed that. It brings tears to my eyes with what's happened here in Ottawa Ontario. I really believe it is a song of hope for everyone that is missing some- one at this time of year and every day. Bless you and yours and Merry Christmas.
This is such a beautiful song. My Couison is a singer, he is fantastic & I'm not biased. He sings started off singing pop songs mainly then a real mixture of old & new songs & then he sung this in his act & everybody was absoloutely speechless & very teary,I felt so proud. Iv never seen Les Mis,it's not really my sorta thing but he has seen it & explained what the song was about, simply beautiful. Your voice Alfie is amazing that just goes without saying& having seen u on a few tv shows lately what a lovely guy u r, such a nice down 2 earth guy, typical Northerner. Love it :) xx
This is one of my favourite versions of BHH that Alfie sings, this and the Dartford one. I like the way he acknowledge Scott Garnham & Craig Mather after singing this song. Both played alongside Alfie in Les Misérables.
The look on his face at 3:52. I get the feeling Alfie is very uncomfortable getting standing ovations for "praying" onstage. Because that's what he does when he sings BHH. He wants to thank the audience, but he's still working that out. He always pours himself into this song. You may prefer other voices, but no one shows as much heart.
I think this has to be dedicated to all parents of sons and daughters of those you guard us and try to keep us safe from the enemies that that face the horrendous people of all sorts who never seem to just want peace. what an amazing voice, but I still don't think this opera voice is the right one for Valjean. Too powerful, too much vibrato. never the less... what a voice.
I'm seeing him in Les Mis on Broadway in February 6th. He's one of the best that I've heard. I saw it with Ramin in March and Ramin is up there too. I think he's perfect for this role.
Alfie always does justice to this sonh

There's Alfie Boe...and then there's everyone else. A spectacular singer at the height of his gifts.
What a voice. And ..sure..I'd have gone to this performance to hear Alfie sing "Bring Him Home". Fantastic..:)

Spine chilling. Wonderful recording. I can watch Alfie sung this over and over. Perhaps only eclipsed by the 25th anniversary performance!.
He is amazing and looks great for 40!! Wish I could have seen his ValJean live.

way to go
Gre at vooce❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Linda, brava! How did you record this? You are a natural camerawoman considering this was hand held and probably a cell phone.
Thank you Richard x
***** No its not a mobile phone,I have a Panasonic FZ45, I must have steady hands because it is hand held x
Linda Wellington Nice!
i read that in the phantom's voice
powerful, magnificent but it will always be colm first as jean valjean before boe.
This is a great preformance but I still prefer Ramin's version
Colm is and will always be Jean Valjean
Colm Wilkerson is Jean Velijean and the priest in the film verison of Les Miserables.
