I have met both Alfie and John. I love the fact that their respect for each other plays out I this performance. I prefer John's interpretation of JVJ. It echoes Colm's yet elevates it. But I adore Alfie for his talent and his huge heart. These two men are among Britain's greatest talents and I feel so grateful to have both of them here in the US right now.

YAAAASSSS! I planned my 21st birthday trip to New York AROUND Alfie Boe performing in Les Mis on Broadway. The first "live" musical I ever saw was the Les Mis 25th anniversary on tv. Alfie Boe is the REASON I started loving Musical Theater. But I was also ticked because as SOON as Alfie left Les Mis, JOJ came in as his replacement. They are my two favorite Jean Val Jeans. I have checked one theater wish off my list. Seeing him as JVJ. Now I just need to see Ramin as the Phantom, and JOJ as the Phantom.
This video comes up in my feed just after seeing the newest headlines about the Hamas-Israeli stuff going on, I think of the kids on the bus I monitor, and I'm in absolute tears. Because the kid I just wrote up today is just 8 or 9. I may have needed to discipline him, cause he's a firecracker of a soul that is at that boundary-pushing age, and likely is ADHD (or, his parents suck at being parents)...but there's no way I want him harmed. Praying for all to find peace within, so there can be peace externally. 🙏🙏🙏😭😭😢😢😢

The movie served its purpose. Jackman and Crowe are not singers but they can act. The movie reminded me how great Les Miserables. I love Alfie Boe and John Owen Jones., their voices are just beautiful. I have bought so many cds dvds music scores and tickets for the stage production of Les Mis and Phantom. The movie was a great business move. I can't get enough of Les Miz. Ramin karimloo, Lea Salonga, Sierra Boggess , Wow! I love them all.
