I can understand playing passive because you’re unarmed and you might be thinking up a way to get past their defense. But you clearly have control over the game, but yet you still play so passive. I’m glad I’m not playing against you. That’s not fun
unarmed is fast with low reach and low recovery time, that means you pressure with movement and defend with spacing. the greater reach and recovery time of weapons leave the enemy open, its logical to use it to your favor. on a plain map your chances decrease since you cant use edge movement because dash jump gp is too fast to react, and there is 1 direction to attack. you have to be precise, fast and not risk ez dmg if you play unarmed, i d say passive play is the way against arrogant ultra active weapon users since they have a giant reach advantage. a smart weapon user will punish you by pressuring an entire area instead since you lack reach and rely on movement. in this case a more active playstyle is suggested to avoid getting cornered and edge guarded. wt might be used to threat combos and keep enemy at bay
also, u do little damage (3) and have low def (3), 1 error and your stock is done, even if you are winning. its just a matter of adapting to opponents and knowing when to be active or passive
