Close the delivery pipe valve and then pressurize the air reservoir. Slowly open the delivery pipe valve until a very small amount of water seeps into the delivery pipe. The pump should be able to keep the pressure up and fill the delivery piled. You may need to play with the delivery valve a bit.

How about an L/HDPE version instead of PVC? Not good to have pvc intakes laying out sun exposed or sitting in creeks like that. Sure you're hopefully gonna filter any intake after the run but ideally just better to use the better material. It's not that much more than pvc nowadays.

You say you have 5 feet of head pressure how do you measure that? I purchased this exact setup from you and have been messing with it for over a month and can’t get it going. Guessing not enough head pressure?

If you will disconnect the pump from the drive pipe , you can lift the drive pipe up and use a tape measure to measure from where the water stops flowing out of the pipe as you lift it to the ground. Thos is the head pressure.
If your drive pipe is too long it will also prevent the pump from cycling. That is why I installed a standpipe for this particular pump.

You may not have enough back-pressure from the delivery pipe. Try turning off the delivery pipe valve and see if you can get it to cycle on its own.

Looks kinda fragile..like a small flood might destroy it?

The pump itself does not have to be in the water to operate as long as the intake is underwater. If your water sources is prone to flooding you can place the pump on the bank.
