Maharashtra: Pimpalgaon village organises 98th edition of the Shankarpat

After a long break of 8 years, Pimpalgaon village organised Shankarpat or Bull Race event. Hundreds of locals from surrounding villages came to watch the event. This is the 98th edition of the Shankarpat, which has been organised in the area since 1920. Many villagers along with their bulls participated in this year's edition. Bulls are specially trained to participate in the Shankarpat. Over 250 teams participated in the 98th edition of Shankarpat. The 98th edition of the bull race was won by Narayanrao from Har Har Mahadev Palashgaon while the team of Ramesh Nagpure from Balaghat district was the runners up of this edition.
