Well, pagan literally means villager (peasant) in Latin. What this actually means can be demonstrated in India. If some villager is struck by personal misfortune, he or she runs off to the village healer and naturally the healer doesn't know any better and blames it on witchcraft. Then the person concerned starts rumors about a neighbor that they always had under suspicion. Other villagers also speak out the suspicion and you have your witch-hunt. Rhea contacted me today, (and I'm pretty sure has been trying to for about a month) and Hecate called me to the craft about 6 months ago. Since I was young, I have always been drawn to Greek mythology...and every deity was was interesting but once I had learned about the goddess Persephone, I have always felt an attachment to her-I am new to the practice and hope to one day work with her and hope that she was calling me.

Don't worry. If your looking for deitys you should look into them and after a while you might begin to see signs (from books or TV shows) Or just feel drawn to a certain deity.
This may be a little late, but if you're still confused... Take two simples subjects, like meditation, sigils, crystals and work on those to get started. I would recommend getting a Book of Shadows to organize things. Actually, I'm still pretty confused, though I've only started January 23th, so I'm about fifteen days in?

Owlvine Green I’m 12 and I really love witchcraft! It’s a long story how I got into it, but about 3 years ago I got into astrology and studied it as well as I could for my age without it getting too confusing, then one day I learned about chakras, from learning about the crown chakra I went to learning about spirit guides, I then stumbled across tarot card readings which encouraged me to practice tarot as my own (the original tarot deck kinda confused me so I got an astrological deck), now I’m here. I believe The Morrigan is calling me because one day I was scrolling on an app and I saw this girl talk about a Celtic holiday ruled by a goddess named Brigid...when I saw it I thought to myself, “wow! A Celtic goddess! I’m Celtic so I want to learn about her!” When doing research on Brigid I came across a site that talked about many different Celtic gods. Before I could read though my grandma told me to go to the store with her, when driving home I saw 3 crows fly onto a tree near my house. I quickly got out of the car for a reason I cannot describe, I just felt so tempted. I stood there, bags in my hands, in the middle of winter (it gets below 0 where I live), just staring at these crows. Everything else around me felt like a blur. My grandma soon told me it was time to go inside and so I did, I sat at my window and continued to watch them all the way until they flew away. I then got back on my phone and started reading about the Celtic gods/goddesses, but when I came across a certain one I felt the same way I did when watching the crows. Her name was The Morrigan, and I felt so attached to her. I have a feeling she’s calling me but I don’t want to assume anything. I really want to know how to communicate to her and ask her if she is. Ik you said to light a candle or something in your relaxed state but I don’t have any, I do have crystals though if that helps in any way? I’m sorry if reading this all was a waste of time I just really like the idea of Morrigan being my “main” goddess and want to work with her, if not for her. If she isn’t then I’m sure I’ll get over it. I just really want this question answered...please reply as soon as possible, I thank you very much for this video as well! ✨💕
i just started witchcraft two days ago. I was really overwhelmed with all the talk of deities so i decided i wasn’t ready to work with one and i would focus on crystals and things like that. although, i have always been interested in connecting with spirits and talking to them. because of this, i used my necklace as a pendulum. i was asking about if this spirit was a fae or an angel, things like that and they always said no. Finally, I asked if they were a deity and low and behold, they were. In fact, it was Hermes. I didn’t think I was ready to discover this but he had said yes to when I asked if I was ready to find him and contact him. He has been with my twin and i since our birth, but my twin isn’t ready to discover him. I had some conversations with him and I was suspicious on whether or not it was an evil spirit trying to trick me. so, i did some guided meditation to try and see if hermes was in fact a deity looking over me. During the meditation I saw him. This has all happened so fast, but I’m kind of glad in a way.
Tht sounds wonderful, im new to the craft too and trying to find my deity, I find it hard to meditate, my mind just wont switch off completely to allow me to connect! :(
Stick with it Suz. it took me years before i felt "okay" at meditation. Don't beat yourself up. Just spend the time breathing deeply.. and know that sitting quietly and taking in that much breath is AWESOME for you! Over time you will learn to become more focused. It's a process, and that's okay :)

So deities kinda come to you, wether it be with a pendulum or small messages coming to you. Wether it be online or in your life somehow if they take an interest to you don’t turn them away. Some might come and go others you are stuck with for good. It takes a lot of research but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty fun!
Lmao i remeber when i kept tryna say harbondia was my god because bees kept flying around me, and that was with very little research on gods. As a little girl a bee stung my stomach and not too long ago i saw one around my grandmas house which is odd bc there really isnt bees there.

as a child every time, and I mean EVERY TIMEEEE I went outside bees would chase me and a personified bee would protect me in my bad dreams. And in kindergarten bees (the ones that dont sting thankfully) would land on my hands. I think I just had issues

I think Athena has reached out to me quite a few times. She has shown up in tarot readings, charm readings, and has even sent little friendly spiders. I was really sad about being rejected by a guy and she sent a spider. At first I was terrified because I don’t find arachnids the most- cute.... things in the world. But it turned out nice and just chilled out on my windowsill. I made friends with it and never saw it again :(( But there is an entire colony of spiders inside of my window (between the screen and glass) so- yeah.. thanks 😅
A HairClip Wait why would spiders be a good sign? Iirc she cursed a woman into becoming a spider because of her mortal pride. If she’s sending you spiders it’s a warning sign.

Apollo revealed himself to me while I was meditating today. He appeared as young man with long brown hair to his shoulders and he glowed yellow like the sun. He didn’t tell me his name but after I meditated I still felt his presence and I know that it was him. He also told me to continue learning and worshipping the Gods. I’m planning on using divination to ask him some more questions... I am honoured that he chose to reveal himself to me.
Athena is my #1. She announced herself to me as Minerva. She’s been with me many times. Speaks to me in Latin and English. Sends me small spiders and very specific important moments. I’ve also been visited several times by goddesses Demeter and Artemis. I think Hekate may have visited me twice. Mithras, Lord Shiva, Odin, are others who have stopped by. I think they would work with me if I wanted to really call upon them. I have wondered about working with multiple or having to select just one. I do think that you can work with any of them. But I have told Minerva that she will always be my number one. Though I want to learn from anybody who’s willing to mentor me. I do you think it’s OK to be able to work with more than one at the same time. Or focusing on different ones with different phases of your life.
I had a bad experience with hecate. Most likely because im ruled by the sun. regardless, Hermes worlks well for me, though he is a trickster. Im learning to work with Herne as well.
I totally understand feeling put-off by a popular deity. But you know what? Who cares what everyone else is doing! Follow your inner guidance, because it is letting you know there is something here *for you*. And can I just say... one huge bonus of feeling drawn to a "cliche" deity is there's lots of great books, art, music and other bits and bobs out there that relate to them :D Having your own experience is the most important thing of course, but the other stuff can be helpful and fun too! xox
I am trying to work with her as well! I was born under her (I'm a taurus) and it's not a bad thing to choose a common god or goddess, it's the connection that counts!
i’ve always been kind of scared of not doing it right, or finding a deity the right way. i was afraid of being too cliche with the one i feel more connected to, the whole connection and love of the ocean, having some of my best and happiest memories tied to bodies of water. i’ve never even seen the ocean yet i’ve always felt so close to it if that makes sense. i also felt really cliche with poseidon most likely being one that many people choose, neptune and nodens being in a very similar area. but i think i’ve been rushing myself so this was very refreshing and reassuring, thanks for sharing especially from someone decently new to all this : )

I have such a huge connection to the ocean, I've been surfing for a few years now too so just being at a beach was always such an amazing thing to me. I also have extremely strong emotions that most people I know don't relate to and I'd always wonder what it was, I randomly started getting these signs of things relating to deity's in witchcraft, I'm not a big believer in much either so this was really interesting to me, I actually did a lot of research on Poseidon after seeing all these things about deities and he's known for having a very bad temper and being full of tons of emotions so seeing these things is super reassuring, I literally could not find anything about anyone feeling connected to him so it worried me but seeing this comment helped!

A C you can still be Christian and do witchcraft, it’s just the way you treat things and the energy around you so you don’t have to be a different religion. Many people are Christo-pagan which are people who worship the Christian god but practice witchcraft and similar pagan things
I was listening to a girls story about how she got a sign from her deities and I was like wow I wish I would get a sign and low and behold this vid was the first thing in my recommended !
For your noisy chicken, try this (if you haven’t already): Mix her feed/grains with water and oil and let sit overnight. In the morning it will look a bit like porridge. Feed it to her instead of the dry stuff (i use a dog food dish) and you should see a difference. Although if your chicken is prone to laying double yolkers I’m not sure what to do.
This is exactly how I feel. I believe the gods and goddesses are like little personalities of the Divine that appear in a certain form for a certain purpose. Like messengers. And that's why I don't think it's a problem to have different pantheons to work with because why would Deity fight with herself lol haha. I work with Freyja and have now been pulled to work with Persephone starting Autumn. Basically got the message of it's time to do some shadow work because I'm at a halt in my growth. How did i know I was called or if I was even called at all? For me, I get goosebumps. Like a chill throughout my body that shakes me to my core. Persephone was never a goddess that made me do a double take, but I heard her story multiple times recently and it resonated with me to the point i felt like my soul shook lol. Then excitement came in. And I did as you said, I asked if it was her. I had a dream that night of standing in front of a forest/woods, the orange tinted sky either at sunrise or sunset, and one slice of black agate hanging from a tree turning in the wind. Basically, sold lol! Everyone will be approached in a way that will make you believe because the Divine knows you. Knows how to approach you in the best way. At least that is what I think 😊

I think personifying a god or goddess makes it easier for people to open their heart and show gratitude. They're all just aspects of the One. When people just worship a god that"s omnipresent it's much harder to focus your attention in a way where you can really open your heart. Some people would argue many of the gods throughout time are the same. Culturally the names may be different but their basically the same. Animism is where people believe everything has a soul including plants and inanimate objects. On that topic I would think most witches would agree that god is in everything.
My aunt mentioned her, she said if I was looking for a deity to work with I should research Persephone. She said just a hunch. *-Shrug-* maybe I'll check her out.
Ambrosia Rising I’m new to the craft but I feel the same way. Even as a newbie, I feel very comfortable crossing pantheons. I too believe that deities are archetypal characteristics of a greater, divine source. The fact that there’s so many different ways witches choose to work with deities (or not), as I’m discovering, illustrates one of my favourite aspects of witchcraft - the freedom to practice in the way that feels right to us as individuals. My degree is in Classics so I’m naturally drawn to the Greek and a Roman pantheon but my heritage is Irish, English & Scottish (I actually moved to the UK for 4 years) so I feel drawn to Celtic goddesses, as well. I speak daily to my goddesses three, Elen of the Ways, Demeter & Persephone.♥️

I am a Green Witch. I am now practicing my magic with Goddess Hecate, Goddess Hu Xian & God Hypnos. You are right! They work greatly together and I truly enjoy the knowledge that they taught me. I believe it is normal to have a few Gods and Goddesses around.
I’ve been practicing for 6 months, and have made a connection to Bastet, the Egyptian goddess of cats, perfume, sexuality, and fertility. I’ve never been called to the Greek or Roman gods or goddesses, but when I was doing research I felt that something was about to click. I stumbled across Bastet and spent a long time researching her, and the other Egyptian dieties. I was especially called to Bastet. I’ve always loved cats, and had recently discovered I was a lesbian. I painted a picture of Bastet, and quickly found gifts around my house, a perfume bottle, a shiny golden bell, and a tigers eye stone. I put the bell on a chain and have been wearing it around my neck all the time. When I wear it I find more gifts, feel happier and more motivated. She is so kind and patient, I’m just starting out but I love working with her. I light her a rose scented candle every other night and I meditate with her. She protects me and guides me, I’m learning a lot recently, from myself and from Bastet :)
I can't stop thinking about Isis. She came into my mind long time ago, back then I studied a bit about the Egyptian Mythology (I was around 14 years). Some times later I was interested in Witchcraft, in Witch Trials in Europe, Crystals and everything else that had to do with Spirituality. My interest in Egypt and in those Gods, or Isis in particular opened that door, I guess. I forgot about her, though. Now, nearly 32 years old, I reach out to Nature again. It's an interesting journey I'm on and with this Isis was back on my mind. I'm not a religious person and I don't believe in religious systems, but in Nature herself and the Energy that comes with her. Nevertheless it feels like Isis is offering me guidance and protection. I guess, I will simply ask her. Thank you for your insights!
It’s crazy because I’ve recently been seeing and hearing a lot more sparrows and rose quartz and rose like things in my life and Aphrodite has been popping up all over my social media’s and I had no idea why until today I saw a video telling me that Aphrodite was calling out to me
I am a pretty new witch and didn't felt the preasure to have a deity but i always thought thta athena would be my number one but after i started my craft i quickly lost connection to her on a emotional level. I was a bit sad but also thought that she maybe guided me until i found my way in witchcraft and now lets me take more control. After that i just wanted to wait until i'm more confident in my craft and everything to choose a deity , but one time as i meditated a stag kept popping up, i tried so hard to get him out of my head but he wouldn't leave and he had a pretty sexual/erotic enrgy with him. I thought it was cernnunos or pan but it didn't clicked. Then just a few weeks ago i started writing with a girl over a community app about witchcraft and paganism and her matron is Freya. I talked with her about my situation and she told me about Freyr. And boom, it clicked. It made sense, and the funny thing about it is that we became friends and Frey and Freyr are siblings. Freya visited her in her dreams and told her that apparently the stag is with me since i was born, i just didn't see him until now. But it made sense, afterall i felt very drawn to the symbol of Yggdrasil as a replacement for the christian cross. And i felt very drawn and familliar with runes. Furthermore my goal in spirtuality is inner peace , which suits Freyr very well since he is a god of peace. He actually helped me with a spell on a full moon, even though i didn't knew who he was at that time. I really hope he stays, he feels really calming and always appears to me as a beautiful and majestic stag.

I adjusted it but the sensation was still there. Mentally I just said, "Okay, Freyr." Kind of as a joke and it stopped almost immediately. I'm tired and can't sleep, am I hallucinating right now?

I was really confused and stuck not knowing “who to worship” and I was thinking how I just wanted to be with the earth. So as soon as you talked about focusing on earth and called her ‘Gaia’ I was very pleased. I wasn’t truly all that interested in witchcraft until about a month ago. This man had been appearing in my dreams for about a week and a half straight, and after further research and speaking with my Wiccan friend, she helped me see that it was Hades. I’m interested now, I’ve never slept better than when he’s in my dreams. I’m trying to understand and maybe learn more about witchcraft so I can maybe get into it.
Today I had a feeling that I should look this up. I had some feelings that a God was calling me. And this does give me more information on this. And I think I know which one is calling me.

And you're right, everything written about the gods and goddesses are the authors interpretations of their energy. It's YOUR spiritual journey and no one can walk it or experience it but you. Don't compare your journey to another's.

'god is in everything' YES THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL!!! i have gotten some flack for being a catholic witch who works with other deities and ive never addressed any of that (because i dont owe anyone an explanation on my beliefs) but i do feel like god takes the form of many different things and different cultures interpret that differently because god and divinity in general is smthn that we, as mortals/non divine beings, cannot comprehend and all we can do is try to define it in anyway we can. anyways this is a great video and has relieved a lot of my anxieties around working with deities and being called to/drawn to certain deities (and has also inspired me to make a witchy youtube channel lmao) anyways keep up the great work!

I agree hon. Their is no right or wrong. I used to have Goddess Isis and God Ra. But then I decided not only go towards Mother Earth. I also believe in God, Jesus as teacher, and I call upon the Archangels. For me I'm comfortable with that! I feel like my spirit is connected! Archangel Metatron is my guide. This might change in the future, but I am happy so far! Stay true to yourself and not what others think or say! Xx
Love it. I work with Anubis, And sometimes Seth. It was really suprising that they both saught me out. From a young age they decided they wanted to be arround me, and it was wonderful that they like to assist me.
Set is my patron deity. I am learning there is SO MUCH MORE to Set than any of us realized. Although lately, I feel really called to Amaterasu. Still, Set is my patron and I am glad to connect with him and to have learned about my special connection with him. I intend to connect with all the gods I'm working with.

Ugh man such a good video. At the beginning of my practice 5 years ago I didn't work with any Gods or Goddesses but was still drawn to Poseidon. Earlier this year on like January first I did a petition to Poseidon for the new year and I got some stuff for making an altar for him and so I made his altar and a few days go by and Apollo pops into my head, I was like "Apollo?..." so I kind of dismissed it but he kept on popping into my head for about a week or so and I was like "Ok Apollo I hear ya". I also include Gaia as well, I've always been a little interested in her like I was interested in Poseidon. It's been pretty great working with Poseidon, Gaia and Apollo. I need to work with Gaia a bit more I feel like I'm neglecting her. I feel so happy and loved when I'm around them and the other Greek Gods and Goddesses.

For me it’s that the Sun/Horned God is the personification of the masculine energies of nature and earth, and represents ALL gods from all the different cultures and civilizations. And the Moon/Earth Goddess is the personification of the feminine energies, and represents ALL goddesses from the different cultures and civilizations. So in focusing on those two I focus on all gods and goddesses at the same time if that makes any sense. That’s how I view deities at this point and it works best for me, as someone who doesn’t see them as actual beings, but as personifications of nature itself. And since the gods and goddesses stand for different energies they are all included, as all elements of nature are equally as important to me. That barely made sense lol I don’t know how to explain properly 😄

I've been interested in many deities throughout my journey. Athena and The Morrigan are my two main goddesses. And Bastet has shown herself as well as Ganesha. I call upon each when I need help and sometimes they just pop up to help me or teach me some sort of lesson. I thought I was just going to be interested in a bunch of deities but actually I found out within the past year I channel messages for people from Spirit and Diety through tarot and lately even just a pendulum and my voice. I "hear" them and it's crazy haha. But I loved this video! Super helpful and great for beginners! :3
Honestly thank you so much for this video, it's helped me get my head around what to actually do and how to just let things happen. I'm fairly new to the whole idea of witchcraft and wicca though I've always had a bit of it in me growing up and now I don't believe I've had any particular signs or felt a deity's energy (or, maybe I have and didn't realise! who knows) but last night I was meditating and both Elen of the ways AND Dionysus came to me? I was beyond shocked and had absolutely no idea what to do or how to communicate with them. I love that this gives me the opportunity to keep learning!
I don’t know what’s going on but I think my deity is Apollo because recently I’ve been noticing more Ravens and everywhere I look on the internet it goes straight back to Apollo and all I can really think about now is Apollo
I feel like all deities are in like a couple of different counsels which each favours some creatures and humans and keeps tabs on their favourite. Some are shyer than others and with different creatures. They are a superior beings to us, but they are not the center of creation, they are simply guardians of different energies. Ultimately I think the most powerful energy, especially in humans, is curiosity.
"you cannot get it wrong" thank you for this! i've been doing research about connecting with deities and i found someone who managed to offend their patron, but didn't say what they did or how to avoid it, and i was starting to become anxious about it haha as for me, i'm very very new to the idea of spirituality and deities as real beings as opposed to creations of humanity, but lately i've been feeling a very strong pull. Dionysus has always been a presence in my life (i was assigned Dionysus as a school project in elementary school, my favorite alcoholic drink is wine, my sign is Taurus etc.) but i haven't felt a real calling until very recently. i'm excited to try and go through the process of discovery, maybe even establishing a connection with Him, or whoever else is calling, even if i don't know exactly what i'm doing yet. thank you for the introduction, and i wish you luck :)
Since I was young, I've always been curious about childbirth and nature. I've recently met somebody literally named Artemis, and I've had a couple dreams about delivering children. I usually go walk around in my local forest a few times a week, and I absolutely love nature; specifically deer, wolves, and birds. I've always favored silver over gold, Honestly I've never really liked the sun and I always stay until 3am lol. I've seen deer trending all over my social media too. Whenever I do a tarot pull for deities; I usually always pull the high priestess card (associated with the three lunar goddesses.) I also have an animal card deck, and whenever I use those for deities I usually pull the deer card. About 4 weeks ago, i was thinking about deities when I finally put all these signs together- so I set up an altar for Artemis and started honoring, praying etc Unfortunately the signs are kinda stopping, and it feels like she doesn't notice my efforts to connect with her. If anyone who works with her could give me some advice on what to do please help :/
Hey love, so working with deity is so much more than the light fun stuff. It sounds like you really were being called, and perhaps now you're being directed to put in the foundational work to build this relationship. It is exciting to have periods where you are seeing "signs and wonders", but during others it can all feel a bit more like work than play. I think of building relationship with deity like any other person... there are times you have fun, there are times where you give to each other, there are times when the relationship feels a bit more one-sided. Perhaps Artemis simply wants to see your dedication for this period. But know this, all the hours you put in are building a foundation, and if you keep going it'll be a strong one :) xx
When I was little, I had these dreams about a statue of a woman with a torch. I wanted to keep the torch from lighting up. IDK why but I found it terrifying. I later came upon an image of Hecate that looked almost exactly like it, and learned that she was the protector of children.
A diety I really want to work with is Apollo. I don't know why, I've always thought of "what if the Greek gods are real?" But everyone made fun of me for that belief. So I didn't. But now I know what I believe. And I'm not scared

I absolutely love this video! Ive been trying to figure out how to find the deity to work with and watching this video gives me so much insight. As i watched the videos my ears started ringing. When my ears ring i know something is around. I have never looked into why my ears ring except from stories when i was little i had the “sight of the underworld”, as my grandma used to say. But i could see things that no one else could in my home. But as i grew up i lost my sight and gained the ringing. I have been into witchcraft for quite a while but never worked with specific deities. When I saw your Video I got curious and decided to start working with a deity. It happened About a week ago. I asked her to send me signs and reveal her Name to me. Today, Holla (Frau Holle) suddenly opened up to me. I am so excited and filled with love, gaining more and more trust and going deeper into my practice. I am now finally realizing so many synchronicities and ways she tried to contact me the past few months. Thank you!
Thank you about the cross pantheon talk. I have discovered that for me the Morrigan and Hades work well together. After I got a statue of the Morrigan for my alter Hades chimed in asking when he gets one for the alter. This is how I discovered I had known he had been around me all my life. BTW his statue is arriving in a couple of days.

I agree with you that there are no hard and fast rules, just intuition, trusting and being true to oneself in this spiritual path will get you to where you want to be and go with the flow because like anything else in life there are ebbs and flows. So recently I have been slowly studying Wicca. I’m trying to figure myself out based on my religion/spiritual views. I come from a catholic house hold and I, one, do not consider myself Christian nor Catholic anymore for personal reasons. - recently I have been very drawn to Voodoo and just interested in it’s culture and the way the religion works. As I don’t have African ancestors since I’m Hispanic, it’s not my place to be religiously involved in voodoo but only to be interested and follow the religion a bit. But I knew I was connected to something spiritual. - lately, I’ve found a deity that I feel very attached to recently and it’s cool because she’s the Celtic/Irish Goddess Brigid. I like the idea of a feminine Goddess who is Earth and Universe to me, like you, I love seeing her in everything the Universe has to offer, nature based and the life I live. Mother Brigid is a Goddess of Crafts, and I have a very creative lifestyle based on what I’m studying in college, and what my hobbies are and my talents. I like having her being my main goddess to help guide me in life when I need help, Brigid being the Universe in my eyes, the sun, and the moon, I seek guidance, and spiritual connection through her through all the elements of the Universe. Earth, Air, Fire and Water. - also not just her being a Goddess of Crafts, there’s other things I’ve read about her that personally and soulfully connect me to her, such as animals, activities, elements, and personality. Also, to add, she’s a Celtic Equivalent to Voodoo Loa, “Maman Brigitte” which I find interesting due to my interest in Voodoo as well.

I've always talked to the Universe (as a being) and Fate (as a being) since I was young but knew it was too weird for others to handle so just kept it to myself. It is hard to find anyone to talk to about these things because I fear that others would attack me for what They have told me. experiencing synchronicity within this very video. since i was young ive been unexplainably attracted to both being a witch and greek mythology. when i was small i would memorize spells from movies and make potions from flowers in the backyard, praying to the sun and the wind for answers. later, for a year at the age of 10, i quietly replaced “under God” in our pledge of allegiance with “under Aphrodite” and other greek deities (very frowned upon here in conservative parts of the US.) now reading a book on intro to wicca and with every greek deity i find myself drawn in and in. for some reason i felt compelled to click on this video and discover your first deity of attraction was Gaia and then i scroll to see the top comment, another friend having a very similar experience being called to greek mythology. thank you for this content, im so excited to start this journey into witchcraft

I'm eclectic and have been since I started my journey when I was 12. I used to work with the Greeks a lot, but now only Hecate comes through. I now work quite a bit with her, and a Isis, Osiris and Horus from the Egyptians. I've been seeing a lot of crows recently too, which is of course The Morrigan's bird. I did a meditation last week and was fully expecting to see Hecate like I usually do in this type of meditation, but no sooner had I started it, did Morrigan's name echo in my head, and when I got to the main part of the meditation where I usually see Hecate, Morrigan was with her because they both had the same message for me. Apparently so did Horus because he showed up too. It's easier to ignore thing when only one Deity is trying to show you something, but when 3 Deities from 3 different Pantheons are telling you the same thing, do not ignore it.

Hecate was showing me signs for a while before I realized she was calling. I had no knowledge of her or who she was previously but once I understood what a patron goddess was and did more research on her I connected with her tenfold. I call upon her and pray to her for guidance so often and even mentioning her conveys an emotion in me that I can’t even describe. I am still learning throughout my journey and she is a major role in my craft. But for those who are maybe struggling or trying to find or connect with a god or goddess just be patient. The more you focus and gain knowledge it will become more and more clear to you and it’s all about the journey. Everyone’s craft is different. Your world is your own. Do not feel like you have to be exactly like someone else or on the same track as they are. Be confident and know your are a powerful and magical being.
I've always loved the sea I just love the smell and I love everything about it. I wished to be a mermaid and life there in the deep ocean but I'm scared of the dark and deep water because I feel like something is out there that is dangerous and hurt some people And I'm pretty new in this witch craft thing and I started sea magic so I'm a new sea witch I just love it I want to work with Poseidon because he was always my favorite God and I feel like I really want to work with him...
I can't tell how it's started because I was very young and my memories are vague, it didn't click together until I got into paganism. Basically I was very drawn to roses and representations of Aphrodite. My view of her isn't standard as I don't see her as just a goddess of love and beauty, but a fertility goddess of not just humans. I grow roses as part of my practice and offer fresh cut ones on my altar (When in season, of course). I agree with you about dieties not being separate entities, in fact I consider Venus/Aphrodite to be a modern version of Ishtar/Astarte (among a few other love/fertility goddesses), but I don't get to voice this thought often because many are set on the belief they're all separate. I always pictured her as a light, visual representations are more just decorative ways to address her. I also feel a connection to Anubis after I dreamed of jackals one night out of nowhere, but I don't really know how to deal with that yet.
I was doing homework today and randomly felt like I wanted to be pagan! I'm so excited to start this journey, and so far I think that I want to work with Aphrodite, Hecate, and maybe Hades.
This is so on point! I am totally on same page about all of this. I feel very called by Persephone (and Hades!) and have for a long time, but was dealing with those 'contradictions' and finally She is coming through loud and clear for me. I've been called and learned from many deities, from many different pantheons, and some coming in at the same time! I think your right that worrying abou cross-panyheons is counterintuitive...we have to follow our intution, because how we experience with the expression of deity is personal to all of us. I love your idea of how they are all forces, but they anthropomorphise through our experience connecting with them.

I always new i had ancestral roots in Ireland and Scotland so naturally iv'e been drawn to and in certain ways felt pressured to practice Celtic traditions, however, i have always been really interested in Greek and Egyptian Pantheons as well and i'm so glad you brought up working with deities from multiple pantheons because i used to feel bad for choosing one group or the other while being interested in (or "called to" as you put it) all of them. I would love it if you made more videos on choosing deities, or on your experiences with working with multiple deities from different pantheons. I'm drawn to different pantheons because I'm eclectic lol, My dads family has Indian in them, My mum has Irish and a bit of Spanish, lol so I'm a bit of everything. I can't just stick to one thing I feel life is too short for that and there is always so much to learn

I learned about the greek mythology when I was 8/9 and I've always felt drawn to Athena. Wisdom and knowledge and logic were always very important to me and when I think of her being my patron deity, I feel a sense of calm and a stone in my chest, grounding me to the moment. I have an anxiety disorder, so that calm is incredible. Am I being called? I'm overthinking the entire witchcraft thing because I'm always scared I'll piss someone or something off.
I understand, I use to always feel like that too. But you're not going to, so you have permission to let that go :) When we feel curiosity towards a deity yes, I think that is part of the call. And if we connect well them even more so.
I’ve always had a deep admiration for the goddesses since they are so powerful and strong yet Hades and Poseidon and Hermès and a couple have also caught my eyes of admiration 🥺 I’ve always had an obsession with the gods and goddesses
Thoroughly enjoying your videos. There is just one thing I would like to add. When addressing any deity, energy form, animal spirits and even your ancestors, to make sure that your area is cleansed and protected, that only divine and positive energy can only come forth to you. I’ve learned there are entities/negative/low vibrations that can pose as any other being and trick you. No need for fear, just make sure your spiritual area, circle is well blessed and consecrated. I’ve been feeling that sort of connection with Hera lately, she’s definitely crossed my mind quite a bit recently, so this video definitely helped a lot ^^ hopefully I’ll be able to sit down and research her and hopefully get to know her too! She seems to be connected with a lot of family type situations, and I’ve been in a relationship where we look towards the future and hopefully have a family of our own, so it’s exciting to think she might be sort of calling out to me, saying she wants to look after that future family.
I've always have a pull to The Morrigan and when i got heavily invested in witchcraft i was Plauged by nightmare for days on end and them crows poped up and these are all things assosiated with The Morrigan them i did a lenormand reading asking her if she wants me to work with her it was a yes both times i did it

These months, suddenly I'm feeling awake at night, sometimes feel so being loved by God women who I still haven't figured out yet. She sent me a lot of signs like a brown moth flew to me a few rounds, your video come to me when I didn't search about it when I was confusing, a white light sometimes flicks real fast near me during the daylight, etc... I’ve been aware of paganism for the longest time, and I’ve had this lurking curiousity. As a child, I was always drawn to all the Greek and Roman deities. I’m getting into this now because I feel so drawn to Apollo specifically. Before I jump to conclusions, I’ll be looking for a bit more signs to see if it’s truly him calling for me. It feels a bit too ironic that I’ve been looking to get involved in art therapy, and that some of the things Apollo is known for is healing and arts lol.

ever since i was little i always thought witchcraft was so cool. like, more than just the "oh cool magic!" type of cool. but only yesterday did i decide to really search into it or anything. i'm not sure of much but i keep saying to whatever/whoever might be listening to me to give me some sign i'm doing the right thing. so far nothing but it's only been 2 days. also i have had a few tarot card readings done on me and one of my friends is getting into it but i don't think those really count for anything yet.
Hades has always been my favorite in terms of deities, but as I've been researching, I definitely think I have a stronger connection with Dionysus, as cliche as it might be. as an autistic child, I fixated so hard on the number 8 (I'm still salty that my birthday is 8/7 and not 8/8), as well as connecting with his androgyny and gender perception. I still have A LOT of research cut out for me, but I find it interesting how things change. Of course, I can't be sure just yet, I'm still very much a baby witch.
I've been practicing witchcraft for a number of years, but I never felt like a God has come to me till recently. I keep having interesting experiences with Artemis. She first approached me as the Goddess and then I kept running into Artemis with Hecate kind of standing in the back. The crescent moon is a symbol that has been a frequent sign throughout my whole life. Which to me means this was meant to be. Also I have this strange fascination with Diane de Poitiers who was King Henry II of France's mistress. She aligned herself with Artemis or Diana. France is also something that has been a consistent thing within my life even though I am American, but thats a whole other "coincident" that occurs in my life.

Last week I got caught up in witchcraft (i always was interested in this practice, and I finally decided to look more into it, starting small with crystals and simple spell jars, as well as lot's of Research xD Anyway, while deciding this I had not a real idea about working with deities, but I am very much in love with greek Mythology since my childhood and feel very drawn to Dionysus and Apollo, have them in my life through reading/write since three years, and after I ordered my first book about witchcraft I had the urge to organize my altar and making research about worshipping the deities 😂 Now I got really lost into that topic and wanna work with them when I'm ready (but first I need to organize myself and some things), but I start with the worship of them and meditate a lot :3 I slowly can feel their presence/energy, and it's such an amazing experience, I am so excited for the whole journey 😭 And I enjoy watching your video on that topic so much, you're so calm and sweet, clearing things up and explaining them ❤️ Follow and Like are save from me. ✨ Thanks for this.
I needed this video so much right now. I have been feeling a call from Lilith for months, and after reading up on her, I didn't feel like I connected to the experiences of others. It is very helpful to remember that as you said, Deity can't be put in a box and everyone's experience is different.

Since I was young, I have always been drawn to Greek mythology...and every deity was was interesting but once I had learned about the goddess Persephone, I have always felt an attachment to her-I am new to the practice and hope to one day work with her and hope that she was calling me.

Owlvine Green I’m 12 and I really love witchcraft! It’s a long story how I got into it, but about 3 years ago I got into astrology and studied it as well as I could for my age without it getting too confusing, then one day I learned about chakras, from learning about the crown chakra I went to learning about spirit guides, I then stumbled across tarot card readings which encouraged me to practice tarot as my own (the original tarot deck kinda confused me so I got an astrological deck), now I’m here. I believe The Morrigan is calling me because one day I was scrolling on an app and I saw this girl talk about a Celtic holiday ruled by a goddess named Brigid...when I saw it I thought to myself, “wow! A Celtic goddess! I’m Celtic so I want to learn about her!” When doing research on Brigid I came across a site that talked about many different Celtic gods. Before I could read though my grandma told me to go to the store with her, when driving home I saw 3 crows fly onto a tree near my house. I quickly got out of the car for a reason I cannot describe, I just felt so tempted. I stood there, bags in my hands, in the middle of winter (it gets below 0 where I live), just staring at these crows. Everything else around me felt like a blur. My grandma soon told me it was time to go inside and so I did, I sat at my window and continued to watch them all the way until they flew away. I then got back on my phone and started reading about the Celtic gods/goddesses, but when I came across a certain one I felt the same way I did when watching the crows. Her name was The Morrigan, and I felt so attached to her. I have a feeling she’s calling me but I don’t want to assume anything. I really want to know how to communicate to her and ask her if she is. Ik you said to light a candle or something in your relaxed state but I don’t have any, I do have crystals though if that helps in any way? I’m sorry if reading this all was a waste of time I just really like the idea of Morrigan being my “main” goddess and want to work with her, if not for her. If she isn’t then I’m sure I’ll get over it. I just really want this question answered...please reply as soon as possible, I thank you very much for this video as well! ✨💕

I was really overwhelmed with all the talk of deities so i decided i wasn’t ready to work with one and i would focus on crystals and things like that. although, i have always been interested in connecting with spirits and talking to them. because of this, i used my necklace as a pendulum. i was asking about if this spirit was a fae or an angel, things like that and they always said no. Finally, I asked if they were a deity and low and behold, they were. In fact, it was Hermes. I didn’t think I was ready to discover this but he had said yes to when I asked if I was ready to find him and contact him. He has been with my twin and i since our birth, but my twin isn’t ready to discover him. I had some conversations with him and I was suspicious on whether or not it was an evil spirit trying to trick me. so, i did some guided meditation to try and see if hermes was in fact a deity looking over me. During the meditation I saw him. This has all happened so fast, but I’m kind of glad in a way.
Tht sounds wonderful, im new to the craft too and trying to find my deity, I find it hard to meditate, my mind just wont switch off completely to allow me to connect! :(

Stick with it Suz. it took me years before i felt "okay" at meditation. Don't beat yourself up. Just spend the time breathing deeply.. and know that sitting quietly and taking in that much breath is AWESOME for you! Over time you will learn to become more focused. It's a process, and that's okay :)

So deities kinda come to you, wether it be with a pendulum or small messages coming to you. Wether it be online or in your life somehow if they take an interest to you don’t turn them away. Some might come and go others you are stuck with for good. It takes a lot of research but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty fun!

as a child every time, and I mean EVERY TIMEEEE I went outside bees would chase me and a personified bee would protect me in my bad dreams. And in kindergarten bees (the ones that dont sting thankfully) would land on my hands. I think I just had issues

Working with deity is way different than worshiping in Christianity. That’s why it’s considered “working” not worshiping. I think you can have your cake and eat it too
I think Athena has reached out to me quite a few times. She has shown up in tarot readings, charm readings, and has even sent little friendly spiders. I was really sad about being rejected by a guy and she sent a spider. At first I was terrified because I don’t find arachnids the most- cute.... things in the world. But it turned out nice and just chilled out on my windowsill. I made friends with it and never saw it again :((

Apollo revealed himself to me while I was meditating today. He appeared as young man with long brown hair to his shoulders and he glowed yellow like the sun. He didn’t tell me his name but after I meditated I still felt his presence and I know that it was him. He also told me to continue learning and worshipping the Gods. I’m planning on using divination to ask him some more questions... I am honoured that he chose to reveal himself to me.
Athena is my #1. She announced herself to me as Minerva. She’s been with me many times. Speaks to me in Latin and English. Sends me small spiders and very specific important moments.
I’ve also been visited several times by goddesses Demeter and Artemis.
I think Hekate may have visited me twice.
Mithras, Lord Shiva, Odin, are others who have stopped by. I think they would work with me if I wanted to really call upon them.
I have wondered about working with multiple or having to select just one. I do think that you can work with any of them.
But I have told Minerva that she will always be my number one. Though I want to learn from anybody who’s willing to mentor me.
I do you think it’s OK to be able to work with more than one at the same time. Or focusing on different ones with different phases of your life.
I had a bad experience with hecate. Most likely because im ruled by the sun. regardless, Hermes worlks well for me, though he is a trickster. Im learning to work with Herne as well.

Follow your inner guidance, because it is letting you know there is something here *for you*. And can I just say... one huge bonus of feeling drawn to a "cliche" deity is there's lots of great books, art, music and other bits and bobs out there that relate to them :D Having your own experience is the most important thing of course, but the other stuff can be helpful and fun too! xox

i’ve always been kind of scared of not doing it right, or finding a deity the right way. i was afraid of being too cliche with the one i feel more connected to, the whole connection and love of the ocean, having some of my best and happiest memories tied to bodies of water. i’ve never even seen the ocean yet i’ve always felt so close to it if that makes sense.
i also felt really cliche with poseidon most likely being one that many people choose, neptune and nodens being in a very similar area. but i think i’ve been rushing myself so this was very refreshing and reassuring, thanks for sharing especially from someone decently new to all this : )

I have such a huge connection to the ocean, I've been surfing for a few years now too so just being at a beach was always such an amazing thing to me. I also have extremely strong emotions that most people I know don't relate to and I'd always wonder what it was, I randomly started getting these signs of things relating to deity's in witchcraft, I'm not a big believer in much either so this was really interesting to me, I actually did a lot of research on Poseidon after seeing all these things about deities and he's known for having a very bad temper and being full of tons of emotions so seeing these things is super reassuring, I literally could not find anything about anyone feeling connected to him so it worried me but seeing this comment helped!

A C you can still be Christian and do witchcraft, it’s just the way you treat things and the energy around you so you don’t have to be a different religion. Many people are Christo-pagan which are people who worship the Christian god but practice witchcraft and similar pagan things

For your noisy chicken, try this (if you haven’t already):
Mix her feed/grains with water and oil and let sit overnight. In the morning it will look a bit like porridge. Feed it to her instead of the dry stuff (i use a dog food dish) and you should see a difference.
Although if your chicken is prone to laying double yolkers I’m not sure what to do.
This is exactly how I feel. I believe the gods and goddesses are like little personalities of the Divine that appear in a certain form for a certain purpose. Like messengers. And that's why I don't think it's a problem to have different pantheons to work with because why would Deity fight with herself lol haha. I work with Freyja and have now been pulled to work with Persephone starting Autumn. Basically got the message of it's time to do some shadow work because I'm at a halt in my growth. How did i know I was called or if I was even called at all? For me, I get goosebumps. Like a chill throughout my body that shakes me to my core. Persephone was never a goddess that made me do a double take, but I heard her story multiple times recently and it resonated with me to the point i felt like my soul shook lol. Then excitement came in. And I did as you said, I asked if it was her. I had a dream that night of standing in front of a forest/woods, the orange tinted sky either at sunrise or sunset, and one slice of black agate hanging from a tree turning in the wind. Basically, sold lol! Everyone will be approached in a way that will make you believe because the Divine knows you. Knows how to approach you in the best way. At least that is what I think 😊

I think personifying a god or goddess makes it easier for people to open their heart and show gratitude. They're all just aspects of the One. When people just worship a god that"s omnipresent it's much harder to focus your attention in a way where you can really open your heart. Some people would argue many of the gods throughout time are the same. Culturally the names may be different but their basically the same. Animism is where people believe everything has a soul including plants and inanimate objects. On that topic I would think most witches would agree that god is in everything.
My aunt mentioned her, she said if I was looking for a deity to work with I should research Persephone. She said just a hunch. *-Shrug-* maybe I'll check her out.
Ambrosia Rising I’m new to the craft but I feel the same way. Even as a newbie, I feel very comfortable crossing pantheons. I too believe that deities are archetypal characteristics of a greater, divine source. The fact that there’s so many different ways witches choose to work with deities (or not), as I’m discovering, illustrates one of my favourite aspects of witchcraft - the freedom to practice in the way that feels right to us as individuals.
My degree is in Classics so I’m naturally drawn to the Greek and a Roman pantheon but my heritage is Irish, English & Scottish (I actually moved to the UK for 4 years) so I feel drawn to Celtic goddesses, as well. I speak daily to my goddesses three, Elen of the Ways, Demeter & Persephone.♥️

I’ve been practicing for 6 months, and have made a connection to Bastet, the Egyptian goddess of cats, perfume, sexuality, and fertility. I’ve never been called to the Greek or Roman gods or goddesses, but when I was doing research I felt that something was about to click. I stumbled across Bastet and spent a long time researching her, and the other Egyptian dieties. I was especially called to Bastet. I’ve always loved cats, and had recently discovered I was a lesbian. I painted a picture of Bastet, and quickly found gifts around my house, a perfume bottle, a shiny golden bell, and a tigers eye stone. I put the bell on a chain and have been wearing it around my neck all the time. When I wear it I find more gifts, feel happier and more motivated. She is so kind and patient, I’m just starting out but I love working with her. I light her a rose scented candle every other night and I meditate with her. She protects me and guides me, I’m learning a lot recently, from myself and from Bastet :)
I can't stop thinking about Isis. She came into my mind long time ago, back then I studied a bit about the Egyptian Mythology (I was around 14 years). Some times later I was interested in Witchcraft, in Witch Trials in Europe, Crystals and everything else that had to do with Spirituality. My interest in Egypt and in those Gods, or Isis in particular opened that door, I guess. I forgot about her, though. Now, nearly 32 years old, I reach out to Nature again. It's an interesting journey I'm on and with this Isis was back on my mind. I'm not a religious person and I don't believe in religious systems, but in Nature herself and the Energy that comes with her. Nevertheless it feels like Isis is offering me guidance and protection. I guess, I will simply ask her.

I am a pretty new witch and didn't felt the preasure to have a deity but i always thought thta athena would be my number one but after i started my craft i quickly lost connection to her on a emotional level. I was a bit sad but also thought that she maybe guided me until i found my way in witchcraft and now lets me take more control.
After that i just wanted to wait until i'm more confident in my craft and everything to choose a deity , but one time as i meditated a stag kept popping up, i tried so hard to get him out of my head but he wouldn't leave and he had a pretty sexual/erotic enrgy with him. I thought it was cernnunos or pan but it didn't clicked. Then just a few weeks ago i started writing with a girl over a community app about witchcraft and paganism and her matron is Freya. I talked with her about my situation and she told me about Freyr. And boom, it clicked.
It made sense, and the funny thing about it is that we became friends and Frey and Freyr are siblings. Freya visited her in her dreams and told her that apparently the stag is with me since i was born, i just didn't see him until now. But it made sense, afterall i felt very drawn to the symbol of Yggdrasil as a replacement for the christian cross. And i felt very drawn and familliar with runes.
Furthermore my goal in spirtuality is inner peace , which suits Freyr very well since he is a god of peace. He actually helped me with a spell on a full moon, even though i didn't knew who he was at that time.
I really hope he stays, he feels really calming and always appears to me as a beautiful and majestic stag.

I adjusted it but the sensation was still there. Mentally I just said, "Okay, Freyr." Kind of as a joke and it stopped almost immediately. I'm tired and can't sleep, am I hallucinating right now?

This man had been appearing in my dreams for about a week and a half straight, and after further research and speaking with my Wiccan friend, she helped me see that it was Hades. I’m interested now, I’ve never slept better than when he’s in my dreams. I’m trying to understand and maybe learn more about witchcraft so I can maybe get into it.
Today I had a feeling that I should look this up. I had some feelings that a God was calling me. And this does give me more information on this. And I think I know which one is calling me.

'god is in everything' YES THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL!!! i have gotten some flack for being a catholic witch who works with other deities and ive never addressed any of that (because i dont owe anyone an explanation on my beliefs) but i do feel like god takes the form of many different things and different cultures interpret that differently because god and divinity in general is smthn that we, as mortals/non divine beings, cannot comprehend and all we can do is try to define it in anyway we can. anyways this is a great video and has relieved a lot of my anxieties around working with deities and being called to/drawn to certain deities (and has also inspired me to make a witchy youtube channel lmao) anyways keep up the great work!

I agree hon. Their is no right or wrong. I used to have Goddess Isis and God Ra. But then I decided not only go towards Mother Earth. I also believe in God, Jesus as teacher, and I call upon the Archangels. For me I'm comfortable with that! I feel like my spirit is connected! Archangel Metatron is my guide. This might change in the future, but I am happy so far! Stay true to yourself and not what others think or say! Xx
Love it. I work with Anubis, And sometimes Seth. It was really suprising that they both saught me out. From a young age they decided they wanted to be arround me, and it was wonderful that they like to assist me.
Set is my patron deity. I am learning there is SO MUCH MORE to Set than any of us realized. Although lately, I feel really called to Amaterasu. Still, Set is my patron and I am glad to connect with him and to have learned about my special connection with him. I intend to connect with all the gods I'm working with.

My personal answer to the question in the title: just look around you, look at your past experiences, the things that have come into your life. Kamuy Fuchy of the Ainu quietly slipped into my life before I even had an inkling of understanding, and She did so through a video game.
Ugh man such a good video. At the beginning of my practice 5 years ago I didn't work with any Gods or Goddesses but was still drawn to Poseidon. Earlier this year on like January first I did a petition to Poseidon for the new year and I got some stuff for making an altar for him and so I made his altar and a few days go by and Apollo pops into my head, I was like "Apollo?..." so I kind of dismissed it but he kept on popping into my head for about a week or so and I was like "Ok Apollo I hear ya". I also include Gaia as well, I've always been a little interested in her like I was interested in Poseidon. It's been pretty great working with Poseidon, Gaia and Apollo. I need to work with Gaia a bit more I feel like I'm neglecting her. I feel so happy and loved when I'm around them and the other Greek Gods and Goddesses.

I've researched Greek Mythology, and Poseidon sounds kind of like a jerk. Is he nicer now?
For me it’s that the Sun/Horned God is the personification of the masculine energies of nature and earth, and represents ALL gods from all the different cultures and civilizations. And the Moon/Earth Goddess is the personification of the feminine energies, and represents ALL goddesses from the different cultures and civilizations. So in focusing on those two I focus on all gods and goddesses at the same time if that makes any sense. That’s how I view deities at this point and it works best for me, as someone who doesn’t see them as actual beings, but as personifications of nature itself. And since the gods and goddesses stand for different energies they are all included, as all elements of nature are equally as important to me. That barely made sense lol I don’t know how to explain properly 😄

I've been interested in many deities throughout my journey. Athena and The Morrigan are my two main goddesses. And Bastet has shown herself as well as Ganesha. I call upon each when I need help and sometimes they just pop up to help me or teach me some sort of lesson. I thought I was just going to be interested in a bunch of deities but actually I found out within the past year I channel messages for people from Spirit and Diety through tarot and lately even just a pendulum and my voice. I "hear" them and it's crazy haha. But I loved this video! Super helpful and great for beginners! :3

I'm fairly new to the whole idea of witchcraft and wicca though I've always had a bit of it in me growing up and now I don't believe I've had any particular signs or felt a deity's energy (or, maybe I have and didn't realise! who knows) but last night I was meditating and both Elen of the ways AND Dionysus came to me? I was beyond shocked and had absolutely no idea what to do or how to communicate with them. I love that this gives me the opportunity to keep learning!
I don’t know what’s going on but I think my deity is Apollo because recently I’ve been noticing more Ravens and everywhere I look on the internet it goes straight back to Apollo and all I can really think about now is Apollo
I feel like all deities are in like a couple of different counsels which each favours some creatures and humans and keeps tabs on their favourite. Some are shyer than others and with different creatures. They are a superior beings to us, but they are not the center of creation, they are simply guardians of different energies. Ultimately I think the most powerful energy, especially in humans, is curiosity.

thank you for this! i've been doing research about connecting with deities and i found someone who managed to offend their patron, but didn't say what they did or how to avoid it, and i was starting to become anxious about it haha
as for me, i'm very very new to the idea of spirituality and deities as real beings as opposed to creations of humanity, but lately i've been feeling a very strong pull. Dionysus has always been a presence in my life (i was assigned Dionysus as a school project in elementary school, my favorite alcoholic drink is wine, my sign is Taurus etc.) but i haven't felt a real calling until very recently. i'm excited to try and go through the process of discovery, maybe even establishing a connection with Him, or whoever else is calling, even if i don't know exactly what i'm doing yet. thank you for the introduction, and i wish you luck :)
Since I was young, I've always been curious about childbirth and nature. I've recently met somebody literally named Artemis, and I've had a couple dreams about delivering children. I usually go walk around in my local forest a few times a week, and I absolutely love nature; specifically deer, wolves, and birds. I've always favored silver over gold, Honestly I've never really liked the sun and I always stay until 3am lol. I've seen deer trending all over my social media too.
Whenever I do a tarot pull for deities; I usually always pull the high priestess card (associated with the three lunar goddesses.) I also have an animal card deck, and whenever I use those for deities I usually pull the deer card.
About 4 weeks ago, i was thinking about deities when I finally put all these signs together- so I set up an altar for Artemis and started honoring, praying etc
Unfortunately the signs are kinda stopping, and it feels like she doesn't notice my efforts to connect with her. If anyone who works with her could give me some advice on what to do please help :/
Hey love, so working with deity is so much more than the light fun stuff. It sounds like you really were being called, and perhaps now you're being directed to put in the foundational work to build this relationship. It is exciting to have periods where you are seeing "signs and wonders", but during others it can all feel a bit more like work than play. I think of building relationship with deity like any other person... there are times you have fun, there are times where you give to each other, there are times when the relationship feels a bit more one-sided.
Perhaps Artemis simply wants to see your dedication for this period. But know this, all the hours you put in are building a foundation, and if you keep going it'll be a strong one :) xx
When I was little, I had these dreams about a statue of a woman with a torch. I wanted to keep the torch from lighting up. IDK why but I found it terrifying. I later came upon an image of Hecate that looked almost exactly like it, and learned that she was the protector of children.
A diety I really want to work with is Apollo.
I don't know why, I've always thought of "what if the Greek gods are real?" But everyone made fun of me for that belief. So I didn't. But now I know what I believe. And I'm not scared

I absolutely love this video! Ive been trying to figure out how to find the deity to work with and watching this video gives me so much insight. As i watched the videos my ears started ringing. When my ears ring i know something is around. I have never looked into why my ears ring except from stories when i was little i had the “sight of the underworld”, as my grandma used to say. But i could see things that no one else could in my home. But as i grew up i lost my sight and gained the ringing. I have been into witchcraft for quite a while but never worked with specific deities. When I saw your Video I got curious and decided to start working with a deity. It happened About a week ago. I asked her to send me signs and reveal her Name to me. Today, Holla (Frau Holle) suddenly opened up to me. I am so excited and filled with love, gaining more and more trust and going deeper into my practice. I am now finally realizing so many synchronicities and ways she tried to contact me the past few months. Thank you!
Thank you about the cross pantheon talk. I have discovered that for me the Morrigan and Hades work well together. After I got a statue of the Morrigan for my alter Hades chimed in asking when he gets one for the alter. This is how I discovered I had known he had been around me all my life. BTW his statue is arriving in a couple of days.

So recently I have been slowly studying Wicca. I’m trying to figure myself out based on my religion/spiritual views. I come from a catholic house hold and I, one, do not consider myself Christian nor Catholic anymore for personal reasons. - recently I have been very drawn to Voodoo and just interested in it’s culture and the way the religion works. As I don’t have African ancestors since I’m Hispanic, it’s not my place to be religiously involved in voodoo but only to be interested and follow the religion a bit. But I knew I was connected to something spiritual. - lately, I’ve found a deity that I feel very attached to recently and it’s cool because she’s the Celtic/Irish Goddess Brigid. I like the idea of a feminine Goddess who is Earth and Universe to me, like you, I love seeing her in everything the Universe has to offer, nature based and the life I live. Mother Brigid is a Goddess of Crafts, and I have a very creative lifestyle based on what I’m studying in college, and what my hobbies are and my talents. I like having her being my main goddess to help guide me in life when I need help, Brigid being the Universe in my eyes, the sun, and the moon, I seek guidance, and spiritual connection through her through all the elements of the Universe. Earth, Air, Fire and Water. - also not just her being a Goddess of Crafts, there’s other things I’ve read about her that personally and soulfully connect me to her, such as animals, activities, elements, and personality. Also, to add, she’s a Celtic Equivalent to Voodoo Loa, “Maman Brigitte” which I find interesting due to my interest in Voodoo as well.
I’ve been called by Brigid & I feel a very strong connection with the Celtic deities. This has been my first year as a Wiccan. She has really helped me to take care of myself, my parents & their home.

I've always talked to the Universe (as a being) and Fate (as a being) since I was young but knew it was too weird for others to handle so just kept it to myself. It is hard to find anyone to talk to about these things because I fear that others would attack me for what They have told me. experiencing synchronicity within this very video. since i was young ive been unexplainably attracted to both being a witch and greek mythology. when i was small i would memorize spells from movies and make potions from flowers in the backyard, praying to the sun and the wind for answers. later, for a year at the age of 10, i quietly replaced “under God” in our pledge of allegiance with “under Aphrodite” and other greek deities (very frowned upon here in conservative parts of the US.) now reading a book on intro to wicca and with every greek deity i find myself drawn in and in. for some reason i felt compelled to click on this video and discover your first deity of attraction was Gaia and then i scroll to see the top comment, another friend having a very similar experience being called to greek mythology. thank you for this content, im so excited to start this journey into witchcraft

Ever since I was little (when I discovered the Greek gods) I always loved Apollo and thought that he was underrated as a god ( plus I’ve done archery for years )
I'm eclectic and have been since I started my journey when I was 12. I used to work with the Greeks a lot, but now only Hecate comes through. I now work quite a bit with her, and a Isis, Osiris and Horus from the Egyptians. I've been seeing a lot of crows recently too, which is of course The Morrigan's bird. I did a meditation last week and was fully expecting to see Hecate like I usually do in this type of meditation, but no sooner had I started it, did Morrigan's name echo in my head, and when I got to the main part of the meditation where I usually see Hecate, Morrigan was with her because they both had the same message for me. Apparently so did Horus because he showed up too. It's easier to ignore thing when only one Deity is trying to show you something, but when 3 Deities from 3 different Pantheons are telling you the same thing, do not ignore it.

Hecate was showing me signs for a while before I realized she was calling. I had no knowledge of her or who she was previously but once I understood what a patron goddess was and did more research on her I connected with her tenfold. I call upon her and pray to her for guidance so often and even mentioning her conveys an emotion in me that I can’t even describe. I am still learning throughout my journey and she is a major role in my craft. But for those who are maybe struggling or trying to find or connect with a god or goddess just be patient. The more you focus and gain knowledge it will become more and more clear to you and it’s all about the journey. Everyone’s craft is different. Your world is your own. Do not feel like you have to be exactly like someone else or on the same track as they are. Be confident and know your are a powerful and magical being.
I've always loved the sea I just love the smell and I love everything about it. I wished to be a mermaid and life there in the deep ocean but I'm scared of the dark and deep water because I feel like something is out there that is dangerous and hurt some people
And I'm pretty new in this witch craft thing and I started sea magic so I'm a new sea witch I just love it I want to work with Poseidon because he was always my favorite God and I feel like I really want to work with him...
I can't tell how it's started because I was very young and my memories are vague, it didn't click together until I got into paganism. Basically I was very drawn to roses and representations of Aphrodite. My view of her isn't standard as I don't see her as just a goddess of love and beauty, but a fertility goddess of not just humans. I grow roses as part of my practice and offer fresh cut ones on my altar (When in season, of course). I agree with you about dieties not being separate entities, in fact I consider Venus/Aphrodite to be a modern version of Ishtar/Astarte (among a few other love/fertility goddesses), but I don't get to voice this thought often because many are set on the belief they're all separate. I always pictured her as a light, visual representations are more just decorative ways to address her. I also feel a connection to Anubis after I dreamed of jackals one night out of nowhere, but I don't really know how to deal with that yet.
I have to say Anubius once paid me a visit and yeah 😅 I am fine

I was doing homework today and randomly felt like I wanted to be pagan! I'm so excited to start this journey, and so far I think that I want to work with Aphrodite, Hecate, and maybe Hades.
This is so on point! I am totally on same page about all of this. I feel very called by Persephone (and Hades!) and have for a long time, but was dealing with those 'contradictions' and finally She is coming through loud and clear for me. I've been called and learned from many deities, from many different pantheons, and some coming in at the same time! I think your right that worrying abou cross-panyheons is counterintuitive...we have to follow our intution, because how we experience with the expression of deity is personal to all of us. I love your idea of how they are all forces, but they anthropomorphise through our experience connecting with them.

I always new i had ancestral roots in Ireland and Scotland so naturally iv'e been drawn to and in certain ways felt pressured to practice Celtic traditions, however, i have always been really interested in Greek and Egyptian Pantheons as well and i'm so glad you brought up working with deities from multiple pantheons because i used to feel bad for choosing one group or the other while being interested in (or "called to" as you put it) all of them. I would love it if you made more videos on choosing deities, or on your experiences with working with multiple deities from different pantheons. Thank you so much for making me feel not so alone in my views on this subject :)
I'm drawn to different pantheons because I'm eclectic lol, My dads family has Indian in them, My mum has Irish and a bit of Spanish, lol so I'm a bit of everything. I can't just stick to one thing I feel life is too short for that and there is always so much to learn
I think by this time in history we're all a mixture of this-and-that, and as we're all blanketed in information and cultures from all over I think it makes sense many of us are drawn to explore different avenues in an eclectic manner :) xoxx

I learned about the greek mythology when I was 8/9 and I've always felt drawn to Athena. Wisdom and knowledge and logic were always very important to me and when I think of her being my patron deity, I feel a sense of calm and a stone in my chest, grounding me to the moment. I have an anxiety disorder, so that calm is incredible. Am I being called? I'm overthinking the entire witchcraft thing because I'm always scared I'll piss someone or something off.
I understand, I use to always feel like that too. But you're not going to, so you have permission to let that go :) When we feel curiosity towards a deity yes, I think that is part of the call. And if we connect well them even more so.
I’ve always had a deep admiration for the goddesses since they are so powerful and strong yet Hades and Poseidon and Hermès and a couple have also caught my eyes of admiration 🥺 I’ve always had an obsession with the gods and goddesses
Thoroughly enjoying your videos. There is just one thing I would like to add. When addressing any deity, energy form, animal spirits and even your ancestors, to make sure that your area is cleansed and protected, that only divine and positive energy can only come forth to you. I’ve learned there are entities/negative/low vibrations that can pose as any other being and trick you. No need for fear, just make sure your spiritual area, circle is well blessed and consecrated. I’ve been feeling that sort of connection with Hera lately, she’s definitely crossed my mind quite a bit recently, so this video definitely helped a lot ^^ hopefully I’ll be able to sit down and research her and hopefully get to know her too! She seems to be connected with a lot of family type situations, and I’ve been in a relationship where we look towards the future and hopefully have a family of our own, so it’s exciting to think she might be sort of calling out to me, saying she wants to look after that future family.

I did a meditation and at first I saw a face and then when I asked for his name. Poseidon was the name so I looked up images of him and it was spot on.
These months, suddenly I'm feeling awake at night, sometimes feel so being loved by God women who I still haven't figured out yet. She sent me a lot of signs like a brown moth flew to me a few rounds, your video come to me when I didn't search about it when I was confusing, a white light sometimes flicks real fast near me during the daylight, etc... I’ve been aware of paganism for the longest time, and I’ve had this lurking curiousity. As a child, I was always drawn to all the Greek and Roman deities. I’m getting into this now because I feel so drawn to Apollo specifically. Before I jump to conclusions, I’ll be looking for a bit more signs to see if it’s truly him calling for me. It feels a bit too ironic that I’ve been looking to get involved in art therapy, and that some of the things Apollo is known for is healing and arts lol.

ever since i was little i always thought witchcraft was so cool. like, more than just the "oh cool magic!" type of cool. but only yesterday did i decide to really search into it or anything. i'm not sure of much but i keep saying to whatever/whoever might be listening to me to give me some sign i'm doing the right thing. so far nothing but it's only been 2 days.
also i have had a few tarot card readings done on me and one of my friends is getting into it but i don't think those really count for anything yet.
Hades has always been my favorite in terms of deities, but as I've been researching, I definitely think I have a stronger connection with Dionysus, as cliche as it might be. as an autistic child, I fixated so hard on the number 8 (I'm still salty that my birthday is 8/7 and not 8/8), as well as connecting with his androgyny and gender perception. I still have A LOT of research cut out for me, but I find it interesting how things change. Of course, I can't be sure just yet, I'm still very much a baby witch.
I've been practicing witchcraft for a number of years, but I never felt like a God has come to me till recently. I keep having interesting experiences with Artemis. She first approached me as the Goddess and then I kept running into Artemis with Hecate kind of standing in the back. The crescent moon is a symbol that has been a frequent sign throughout my whole life. Which to me means this was meant to be. Also I have this strange fascination with Diane de Poitiers who was King Henry II of France's mistress. She aligned herself with Artemis or Diana. France is also something that has been a consistent thing within my life even though I am American, but thats a whole other "coincident" that occurs in my life.

Last week I got caught up in witchcraft (i always was interested in this practice, and I finally decided to look more into it, starting small with crystals and simple spell jars, as well as lot's of Research xD
Anyway, while deciding this I had not a real idea about working with deities, but I am very much in love with greek Mythology since my childhood and feel very drawn to Dionysus and Apollo, have them in my life through reading/write since three years, and after I ordered my first book about witchcraft I had the urge to organize my altar and making research about worshipping the deities 😂 Now I got really lost into that topic and wanna work with them when I'm ready (but first I need to organize myself and some things), but I start with the worship of them and meditate a lot :3 I slowly can feel their presence/energy, and it's such an amazing experience, I am so excited for the whole journey 😭

I needed this video so much right now. I have been feeling a call from Lilith for months, and after reading up on her, I didn't feel like I connected to the experiences of others. It is very helpful to remember that as you said, Deity can't be put in a box and everyone's experience is different.
