I never thought this would happen! I got to play Justin Wong in Marvel vs Capcom 2!!! The man who won half a dozen Evo 1st place championships in this game! We're playing on the NullDC BEAR emulator btw.

Lots of people are asking how we're playing the game online - I don't want to link it since emulators are kind of a grey area and I don't wanna get in trouble with YT - but if you google NullDC Bear, look for the github link and there should be instructions there.

JWong just has so much knowledge. It's always awesome to hear him on commentary because it's like he has Professor X like insight into the players' minds. You know when a good commentator can sometimes call out what a player is thinking of or is going to do before they do it? Justin seems to be able to do that almost all the time.

This is my first time watching any marvel gameplay. All I have to say is... *What the hell is happening*
That's Mahvel, baby.
Whenever u see a character pop in then leave,thats them pressing the assist button.
So games like this let you pick three characters. You can switch between them at any time, and the characters who aren't fighting slowly heal a little bit of health while tagged out. But instead of switching you can do an "assist". Assists are when you call one or both of the other two characters to pop on screen and briefly perform a special move (you choose which one of three moves at the character select screen). You can use this to set up combos or get out of a tight situation, but you have to be careful because the assisting character can take damage whenever they are on screen. This means its entirely possible to have 6 characters on screen at once and can get pretty hectic.

I used to be able to do similar combos with her back in the day. I still remember this poor guy was on the receiving end of that twice in one day. He challenge me while I had Cammy. I handily beaten him doing the double hyper Cammy combo during the match. "Andy" played after him. IMO Andy and myself were the two local best players. Andy also had Cammy on his team and barely beat me. The first guy then played Andy and got hit with it again. When he got launched for the 2nd time and realize what was coming, he dropped his head in his arms. He was completely demoralized!

I love watching these videos. I can tell how much you enjoy the games. You're getting washed, understandably, but you're legitimately having fun. It's like when you're a child and in awe of everything you're seeing. Reminds me of simpler times just hanging out with friends after school "Oh man I didn't know so and so could combo into that!" long time gamer here. If you mix the top and low tiers it makes a better team... especially with characters who you would think don’t fit together.

When I played this game in the early 2000's I called Guile, Cammy & Charlie my "Special Forces" Team.
Storm/Tron/Cammy, all in pink, "Team Pink."

This reminds me of the time I matched up with me hero BB Hoodsta on 360. He wrecked me but I still sent him an excited message and, naturally, scared him away.
Justin wong growing from the person i want to lose to the coolest dad is a great character arc.
I want to meet this guy Justin. He is my idol in every marvel and capcom fighting games. Salute to this humble guy.

God I missed this game. I used to dominate the local arcade with spider-man, ice-man and guile. But the only other guy that could beat me was a magneto, storm, psylocke or dr doom.
Mr Wong is a legend 1 of the hardest matches anyone could go up against. Fairplay though bro and I Subd.

If JM wins he can say he won a game versus a god. If JM loses he gets to say he got to play against a god. Win or lose JM gets to post it on his channel. It's the rare win-win-win situation.

I love the vs series, but I never have been able to play MvC2 or 3, against people, since the online options were pretty bad and there wasn't many people to play anyways...
I played a bunch of fightcade tho, and with it all the iterations from Children of the Attom to MvC1. Fantastic games.

I really hope Guilty Gear Strive has a team mode. It's fun coming up with team strategy and structure. I always miss that in the 1v1 fighters, there is less room for customization.

back in the 90s during super nintendo days no matter what i couldnt beat m bison on sf2 (im a noob) so i bought this thing called "gamesaver" and it was this big clunky device that you plugged your game into then put the device into your supernes and it allowd you to instantly save your game anywhere and recall that save instantly so ide start the match and if i get first hit on bison ide do an instant save and if i got hit ide go back to the save and recall it and ide keep doing that til i got a perfect victory against him... but it would be alot of going back to each save. It was a cool addition to the super nes that helped me beat alot of games. Google image it and see for yourself. if you still play super nes and have trouble with games find ya one on ebay
