@@cooltron You're able to mash out. The tempest dispersion pattern is affected by both player's input so if you hold an incorrect direction you won't be able to block on time.

There will be no blocking because you cant mash out of tempest. People think you can mash out of it because the opponent does it incorrectly therefore allowing you to mash out. I cant play the game but i think whats happening is they spam attacks to built meter, maneuver the chaos with dashes, and flying. Call assists to defend, attack, or counter call assists. I think they both look for an opening if they get they do those crazy combos,
Actually, there are no crazy combos, bar the occasional infinite . You're right. 90% call assists build meter, and if you get a hit cash out with supers. Rinse repeat@joey5745
I love this game to death. Started playing it the year it released on Dreamcast and eventually ps2. I always sucked at it. I understand why everyone uses a variation of the same 6 characters.. and I agree.. but watching online matches where people use their own weird/random teams and characters that I always sucked with, scratches that mahvel itch for me. This, is slightly hard to watch, and I only have the capacity to watch the grand finals. Having said that, I’m extremely happy that this game has survived the test of time and is still beloved by so many.
What platform is the game being held on? Dreamcast? Fightcade? Or something else…? How do they ensure their modern fightstick has compatibility if it’s an old platform?

It may be played on the PS4 (maybe PS5 due to cloud) but Dreamcast isn't bad as there are AV converters to HDMI with about 1ms delay. So, we don't need to use those big CRT. But, if Sony wants more people they will most likely use the new collection.

Definitely fun low tiers, but u dont see and appreciate in the high tier competitions is the technical side, which only players of this game understands.
On the Marvel collection once you get to around 300 rank, you get more and more God tier teams and you have a choice… learn a competitive team or play casual

This marvel Vs capcom 2 looks no where close to the arcade version it’s more of the original Xbox PS2 Sega Dreamcast version that’s being overpriced on ebay I’m glad I own the marvel Vs capcom 2 arcade 1 up knowing how the arcade rom plays like glad to know how the Nintendo switch PS4 Steam version will look like before getting my copy the only way to get the original rom is by paying $600 for the arcade 1 up it’s worth my money

I freaking hate this assists of captain commando, and sentinel , all of these guys can't even perform combos and just keep running away and calling assist, that's why I hate this type of players they don't have the guts to go one vs one

The only way he will get unmashable is with Psylocke into tempest. It’s harder to mash out with sentinel than other characters.
