- We head out of Salida, Colorado to Monarch Pass to visit the continental divide, ride the gondola and do a little hiking. Then, Bri & I brave the cold water and the swollen river on a Whitewater rafting trip on the Arkansas River in Buena Vista, Colorado

We did the Arkansas years ago. It was very cold with snow flurries. Our guide was late arriving. Found out he was out partying all night which was a bit concerning but turned out just fine. We had great fun.

What a awesome place your staying at!! I wanted to white water raft when I was in Colorado but it never worked out. Looks like you had a good time. You might catch a Camo Dave video - he does them every morning and Blind Views on Thursday live stream at 6pm. and intruduce yourself -- good way of getting subscribrers. Thumbs up. We love the FREE Forest Service camping in Colorado! Hopefully, next time you get back to that area you can fit in a rafting trip, they are a blast. I don't know where you're located, but we've also rafted the Ocoee River in Eastern TN and it was equally amazing. It's where they held the WW Olympics back in '96. Thanks for the tip on Camo Dave, now that we're back to cell coverage we'll have to check his channel out!

Great video …. I can't for the life of me figure out how you made the video while rafting ???? Yes, white water rafting is soooooo much fun. If you (when) come back to the east coast, you should raft the Yuck in Penn. You can also see Frank Lloyd's house Falling Water in the same trip. I great couple of days.
Thank you, Susan! The rafting guide offered to wear our GoPro on his helmet which worked out perfectly!! White water rafting is a blast, we rafted the Ocoee River in TN (where they held the WW Olympics in '96) and then this one in CO... I love how alive it makes me feel, the cold water combined with the adrenaline is 👌Unfortunately, we won't be making it to PA this year but I just looked up the Upper Yough River and it looks awesome! I have also been trying to see a Frank Lloyd Wright house for years and it has never worked out, being able to see Falling Waters would be a dream. We will definitely have to take your suggestions when we make it to Pennsylvania, thank you!!
The reason they do that is with all the equipment they carrying and focusing on mission at had it’s easy to forget to brother properly and next thing ya know they passed out. Do it at 10k so when they get to 14k it’s easier to breath but still huffing and puffing. But not needing the bottle of o2 near as fast

I wasn't sure what they would think of the gondola lift but they didn't seem to care at all. We are in WY at the moment and they found a grouse, they gave it a good chase and had a blast!
