I love the brief moment of silence before the more lively part. This goes to show that silence is a part of music as well. I love the melody and percussion! I'm saving up to get a b kurd!
Its 2022, and this music from you sir is severely underrated. I have fallen in love with the Rav because of you. I hope you are doing well in these very difficult times.
I will be ordering a G Pygmy as I have listened to all of the other and it speaks to me the most. May have to take some lessons but thanks to all of those who play posting techniques at least I can start there. Keep doing what you're doing as people like you make this a better world for what you add to it. Great stuff to listen to any day but especially the stressful ones. All of your practice certainly shows as you have some beautiful music to show for it. :)
This is by far the best composition I have ever heard. I loved it so much that I bought my very own rav. I have tried to practice playing this song, but at times it gets a little rough. Is there any way you could make a tutorial or go over the different techniques? I would be beyond grateful :) Thank you so much for this incredible music!
recently discovered Rav drums and completely mesmerized.....You have a style of playing that puts the Rav over the top......as a semi retired artist I'm busy enough exploring visual art....but thanks to you and other TH-cam musicians I'm falling down that rabbit hole....inching closer to purchasing a Rav Vast....Thank you Daniele
This sounds so nice!! 💕 I'm saving up for a Rav and I'm really stuck between the G Pygmy and the B Kurd. I want to create music that sounds mystical and relaxing but can also be upbeat at times. I like the variety of the Kurd but I also love the sound of Pygmy...ahhhh, it's a struggle ahaha 😅
Thanks Iyana! it's a difficult choice, they are two very beautiful scales! Personally, on the Rav I prefer the G pygmy, because I think it has "more effective" sound frequencies on this scale ... but this can be a subjective fact, so ... listen deeply, and make your choice ;)
Interesting; i feel EXACTLY the same. Going with the Pygmy probably. You have to chose according to your heart in the end. People can make a single atonal drum sound interesting with rythmic variety, imagine the possibilities on the Pygmy.
Daniele, this is incredible. I've never heard anyone get that richness and depth out of the ding. I can tell you are a djembe player based on your tone and articulation. Looking forward to many more videos.
I've been doing research to dial in which RAV to order. This video was a complete inspiration!! Absolutely a magical creation. Create MORE!! So much goooooodnessssss.
@@chelseelargo3560 Thanks a lot Chelsee, you were kind! And thanks for letting me know, for now I have had no news about this. We will see if I will be contacted ;)
Really love this, my first rav is arriving shortly, hope I made the right choice. Couldn't choose between a integral and g pygmy, I ordered the a integral, but still I am in doubt, probably will order the g pygmy short afterwards... Perhaps, it is an idea to record some videos so that we can learn this song?
Bellissimo pezzo! 😍 Mi sto avvicinando ora al mondo di questo fantastico strumento e credo proprio che acquisterò il tuo corso! Ho solo una domanda... Qual è l accordatura nel video? E... Che accordatura consiglieresti per un principiante? Grazie mille!
Nederlands Engels I just got my rav G pygmy in 432hz. It's even more beautiful than I could imagine! I would love to learn this composition from you. It's super inspiring! I saw more people asking for it. are you still thinking about it? I like to hear it!
fantastic, may your soul be blessed and inspired to keep bringing us such wonderful tracks. which rav vast were you playing in this please? is it the e low pygmy?
Outstanding and inspiring! I know you said you are using an AKG CP411 PP, but what brand/model are the 2 mics from the top? You've got a great full sound here, something that's been eluding me in my own RAV Vast recordings. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, really glad to hear your words :) I don't know the model of the two microphones, but I can tell you that: they're not particularly good or expensive ... the excellent job was done by Cristian, the guy who took care of the mixing!
@@DanieleRebaudo Thanks Daniele, I'll keep working on the sound. I've almost got it to where it needs to be for recording, just need to gain a little more presence from the harmonics. Keep up the great work!
Hey man, you say you're recording with the AKG C411 PP. I can't see it connected to the Rav in any way in this video, is it just craftfully hidden from view here? I'm a producer and am so keen to incorporate the Rav into dance music, but want to capture that deep tone. Will do my experiments (: Thankyou for your music, this song in particular inspired me to get the G Pygmy. Would love to recreate it with some more elements
Kurd is a very versatile scale. But I would definitely choose the G Pygmy, it's my absolute favorite on RAV. Also because it's in G, so deeper... Perfect for this tongue drum
I don't think I understand what you're referring to. The intro has a calmer part, then there is the theme re-proposed with a more pressing rhythm: a more percussive and intense central part follows, ending with the outro similar to the intro. What are you telling me? Do the numbers you wrote match BPM? And why should it be relevant?
@@DanieleRebaudo Hi Daniele! Yeah I am talking about BPM. I found that the tempo is different in some parts, which I find unusual and challenging. It is relevant for me because I am giving it a try :)
After 5 years, I think that this song is still the best thing ever done for Rav.
Agreed. saw this way back when and still think the same. The musicality is incredible.
THIS MUSICIAN, LADIES AND GENTS, IS AMONG THE BEST, IF NOT THE BEST PERCUSSIONIST OF THIS GENRE OF INSTRUMENT!, ON TH-cam.
Juste magnifique. Le jour où je saurais jouer du rav comme ça... Merci pour ce pure moment !
That was wonderful. :)
Just discovered the RAV about 5 months ago.
One of the most beautiful compositions i have ever heard on a rav. Keep up the great work Daniele :)
really thanks, James !
I absolutely love this composition.....the rhythm, the depth, the notes, everything about it. I listen to it again & again!

it is not only the instrument but also the artist, the player, the composer. congrats
Thanks Joao 🙏🏽
This is SO good. Groove and dynamics, great melody and harmony, and very tight, you have it all here. Very inspiring.
Astonishing depth 😍 I lost myself in the basses.

Une des plus belles compositions sur le RAV Pygmy que j'aie écoutées.
Bravissimo Daniele, sono fan assoluto della tua bellissima musica !!
I enjoyed this so much 😍 I hope I will be hearing more like this - thank you and well done!
thanks really, Iona !! I hope so too! ;)
Thx its amazing ✌️🤙❤️
That was so good! Especially for your first composition! I want to see more!

Daniele, I love your style. I am about to get a rav vast and I will listen to your videos often so that I can learn some of your percussion style.
Thank you Victor! It's really nice to see others get involved with my passion :)

Beautiful🥰 , Daniele, thaks :)
I am enchanted.
Well, for the “first ever”, that sounds very promising indeed!

Very beautiful!
Beautiful. Great tune.
Love the sound!
Wonderful compositions!
I love this! It's so much groovier than any other rav playing I've heard. I love the swing style, I'd love to hear you play more!
Thanks so much Anthony!
Groove is as important as harmony and in my opinion you got the right mixture. The Tabla-like pattern you play around 4‘03 ... awesome!
Great music! I'm ordering a RAV soon. No musical experience besides a lifetime of listening but it will be enjoyable learning.
Outstanding! Thank you for sharing this. Would love to learn more about the recording techniques used.
Much thanks!

How long have you been playing?
@@chelseelargo3560 Rav and Handpan, only a couple of years ... but I studied piano and percussion instruments for a long time :)

Have you ever try the B Kurd vast and if so, what do you think about it?

Hi, very nice! I just bought E low Pygmy... can I ask you which model microphones are you using for this recording?
Sorry for delay :)
