I got the 18. It’s absolutely amazing my favorite reel to date and I own the 150xg. And the 250. Plus a tatula. The Antares takes the cake. Paired with the feather 🪶 pride rod.

Which is better this are the Antares A. Isnt this newer? Antares A is still 650
This one is their newest Antares and I love this MD so far, it is great for big baits and big fish!
it sucks that antares reels dont have drag clicker but maybe in purpose? almost identical exsence dc has on the other hand, dunno why
Yeah, I agree, but if you think about it most large musky fishing style bait casters don’t have drag clickers shouldn’t be much of a big deal, and it’s probably on purpose. Remember to subscribe if you aren’t yet!

Whats the weight max you will cast with an antares ?
Not too light but not too heavy, haven’t tested the light lures yet but a jig is fine!
Is this around the same size as the antares dc7? Not gonna lie that the alderbaren is my go to just so i can throw ul lures now.
Yes I believe so. Don’t own an Antares DC but I would assume they are the same size just different specs.

What in your opinion makes the Daiwa better? Distance, smothness or ease of casting in various winds?
@@andersriksson100 First of all, distance. In other respects they are very similar to Antares. although Antares also shows very good results in casting distance. but not like IM Z

@TUFFBASS you need to put that reel on a shimano/G loomis conquest 7'6 extra heavy rod.

@tims_always_fishing7117 I have both rods . Ultima and conquest. I prefer the cork over the carbon. Reason being the carbon is cold to hold in the winter, and the hands get sweaty in the summer heat. Cork, you don't have any of these issues . Only rub on cork is it can break apart . But you take care of the cork it will last a very long time. Use u-40 cork sealer.
@@OneHittr-24-7 ya I love my exprides over my adrenas, especially the A's with cork and eva, not the monocoque. It's just the awesomeness to fish an ultima tho. Damn I can't wait for pre spawn
