Tracee Talavera was so good and original! I had no idea. I find it so odd that her parents are talking about such private matters in front of the camera and her dad really thought that Tracee should drop out and stop “playing “. Lol.
It's very disturbing seeing Marcia Frederick's abuser interviewed here. The abuse had been going on for a year at this point. I feel so terrible for her.

I think in hindsight, knowing what she accomplished at the 84 games, she missed the 80 games through no fault of her own, she obviously had the talent to make the 84 olympic team and even without the 1980 boycott, 17 is still a decently young age to be a gymnast. She easily had 1984 in her sights. But this was a generation ago. Her parents just didn't seem to be gymnastics parents. They thought it was something you get to stop at a certain age because only children do flip flops in the backyard.
This is exactly why America didn’t do good back then. Talking to them in between events?! What! Let’s talk to Lebron between first and second quarter Lol
