I hate that the cameramen/women fixate on Simone on the sidelines constantly and sticking cameras in the faces of the girls when they made errors(ie Morgan Hurd after her floor routine). So rude..When Simone goes backstage just to get away from them they should get the hint.. And the commentary? Tim D especially comparing every other gymnast and their routines to Simone -yeah, she’s the GOAT but all these women -how do you think that makes them feel, Tim? They all work incredibly hard to get here- give them some respect.
Unfortunately the camera folks have a job they are required- not asked, required- to do. Most of them will tell you they’d rather give the athletes space when they’ve had a rough go but are under orders from the broadcast network to get the shots. It does stink but it’s the network, not the videographers that have no respect. It’s the same in every sport you see.
You are very correct about this 👏 in all the routines that I watch its all about Simone come on these commentators know better than this we all know that in the world they might be someone else better than her thank you 😊

We also don't need to know that .Simone came from a broken home and the reason why and the kids were raised by grandparents. None of that is our business.

As incredible an athlete as Morgan Hurd was, you could see the cracks in the armor by this point. She will always be able to say she is a world AA champion but sadly (as much as I’d love to see it) the Olympics will probably never happen for her. Same with Kara Eaker- gorgeous skills but I don’t think it’ll happen for her either
By contrast, Leanne Wong has just gotten better as time has passed. I can definitely see her potential for Paris next year.
Jordan Chiles has become one of my absolute favorite gymnasts, such a fantastic leader and inspiration for the other girls!
It’s been wonderful to see videos of Riley McCusker in action this year. She seems so much happier now with a better coach.
