I remember the day it happened. I was a 13 year old gymnast in Melbourne (Australia) and we were all saying 'Shame the Karolyis didn't come here' and our coach, who knew them from many Olympics and world championships said 'thank god they didn't- they're horrible' (they pushed the girls way too hard).
@@mindrolling24 and now we know the horrors the US gymnasts went through..sure they produced champions...but, seem abusive..in Romania and US..so they can't blame the government! (As different countries and political systems yet still on the abusive side: treatment, food withholding and now a pedophile doctor)
