Super beautiful home. Nice and simple. Especially the entrance area. I like the separation part (1st portion of the kitchen with a counter and the flooring there too) . Not only that i like the color and the curve made on the wall at the tv and dinning area. Job well done. $16k budget is so worth it . ❤
Hi, thanks for sharing. What really surprised me and I liked it alot was the division of the kitchen into two parts: the kitchen and the pantry area. The sliding door in the kitchen was another thing that caught my eyes. And I liked the beautifully done open concept which merge the bedroom and living room together into one piece. I also like the curve in done in your living behind the TV. It did look like a cosy little hotel plus working office. One again, thanks alot for sharing. 🙏
Nice n cosy... Great choice of colors, so soothing. Simple, tasteful n homey, doesnt look overdone. Only $16k.... Well done. U can consider sticking translucent film at the kitchen window glass. 😊
36sqm 2-room BTO is the smallest BTO flat - I wouldn't buy cos too claustrophobic - I own the 45sqm type. Overall for such a tiny space, it is well renovated and designed - good job!
hmmm very nice and minimalist. Urghh I don't know whether shld I make a cupboard for mine. Cos it looks like small space to put cupboard and tight if there is cupboard. But if not, I hv lots of clothes. Even after donating, I still hv lots. ahhhh...but this one looks very beautiful. Thank you for sharing! and stay safe and enjoy
This open wardrobe is like 3-4 times cheaper than customized carpentry wardrobe. shelves and hangers can be customize in future to suit changing needs. Sharing my rationale for using this 😊
Very nicely done. 😊For the kitchen sliding door, is the frame aluminium or iron? I've been looking for contractors doing this kind of slim style but couldn't find. Where to look? Also, is there any gap between the fixed/sliding panels whereby the cooking smell get into the living room? I'm having this problem with my current kitchen frameless sliding door. 😅
v nice! are you involved in design work in your day job? if not, where did you learn these colour coordination / design skills? my favourite part is your well placed lighting and multi-functional spaces/ objects - TV cabinet-sofa, wardrobe-bedside table, hob-less countertop.
hello thanks! my day job's not design related. its more of a personal interest and I also had experience designing my past few apartments, thus it took no persuasion for me to volunteer for my friend's flat here.
Thank you! The hdb rack was removed as it's quite an eyesore in such a confined space. regular laundry will hang at the washer rack to dry since only 1 pax so that's sufficient. Bedsheets etc will use the external rack outside the kitchen
Ha it's not just the square foot My 2-room has bay windows in the living and bed rooms These huge slabs of concrete make the rooms even smaller Also the rooms are odd-shaped with pillars and beams Mine was a balance-flat so no show flat I did due diligence, knocked on doors and owners kind enough to let me in for a quick look But *none* had bay windows
its from taobao, this is 120cm but can choose different sizes. top is sintered stone, cost ard $60 before shipping, but need to self assemble which isnt too hard
Hello. Reno took 2.5 months and slowly took another 3-4mths to progressively furnish it. appliances and furnishings cost ard 5-6k , mostly from taobao or shoppee sales for max savings
As someone who like orange, i love the orange accent on the wall. The orange tshirt seem intentional, but love it. Same goes to the measuring tape, desk lamp the orange color pop 🧡
Sorry i only see the total reno fee in the description there. But i think i like this sofa would like to know where can i get it? Is it from sg local shop or going to taobao?
@@Green_Ostrich You may consider to come out a list of items of where you purchased your items =) It is great that you have done your home so well with minimal cost
@@Green_Ostrich thanks a lot for the sharing. It looks real nice. Really love the usage of color for your hdb esp the green in kitchen and yellow in the hall.

Thank u! Yup it's fully self designed and self colour coordinated . OCS only took up the flooring from hdb. doorworks, carpentry, painting are all different contractors sourced by myself . Prefer not to drop any names though 😊

I'm single stay in 4 Room HDB. 36 sq m is too small to live in, Imagine cooping up in such a small space for years, not healthy not being able to stretch legs in the house. But as a holiday studio apartment would be good. However, this being HDB flat it isn't allowed.
Possible to share your reno ID or contractor's contact? Like your ceiling lights at the entrance and living room. Do you have false ceiling? How did they manage to hide the cabling?
no false ceilings done. i use the provided light points as much as possible. for those where minor deviation is needed, contractor will embed wires in the wall and plaster back. prefer not to share the contractor detail for personal reasons .
