Interesting, I thought the 465 was so obviously a step up over every other amp, even at Canjam and even at walking around with different headphones. BTW, love the StormTrooper version of the Tungsten.
Ah wish I could've heard the difference. I was listening to the 465 at peak foot traffic time so had noise all around me. Wanted to give it a fair impression with a quieter environment.
@@MidFiGuy - Yea, for me I compared it against the Bliss and HM-1, listened to both, then walked over to Masuda-san, and to me, even with Sus in a loud enviornment everything was better. I tried the Stealths as well, and it was clearly the best I've ever heard it. I would say it is on level with the AIC-10 as far as sound and the best SS I've heard by far. As a tube guy at heart, this amp gives me enough of the tube fullness, that I'm not sure I need a tube amp anymore.
You got it! I've been slacking because I felt like I found my endgame and gave the channel a rest. But like always, trying out new equipment at Canjam makes me interested in newer gear 😭 I'll be releasing a warm up round up next month, and maybe more after that!
@@MidFiGuy That’s great to hear! I think we all need a break from this hobby every now and again. Always valued your roundups and thought they were excellent. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on some new gear. What has been your “end game” recently?
Daing. Wanted to go this year, but wasn’t able to swing it. Great review. Almost feels like I WAS there LMAO 🤦🏻♂️ low key wish there were a few extra shots of just “you” 😉 Maybe next time! ❤
Expanse and Stealth are pretty neutral, but I found they both sounded really good on the 465. Ashame it takes that level of an amp to get the most out of it. Looking to try E3 and Stealth to compare.
Lots of indie synth and lately blues & folk. When I go for classical I switch to the Calderas. Love the smooth delivery of the Empy OG's but when I crave clarity I tend to change headphones.
Based on what I heard at Canjam I'm *so* curious how the Headamp CFA3 will sound with it. Clarity with slight warmth, lots of dynamics and effortless power too.
Great video. 17:39 Is that really a ZMF Bokeh? I thought they were closed back headphones? Unless that's some sort of special edition HP maybe. I've never seen that headphone with those girls from ZMF. Now I'm really curious what they are
Great video, thanks for a look at some very interesting and unique gear ⚙️. Personally , I’m at the end of my journey regarding headphone systems( for now 😉 ) as I’m currently very happy with my gear ..and am now just exploring new music and listening.
21:45 FYI the Riviera AIC10 is not a solid state amp. It has a 12au7 tube.
Oops! My 2nd screw up, thanks for catching 🙇
It’s hybrid. So technically it’s solid state with a tube input stage.
Thank you so much. Your camera work and overview is fantastic. You really get a feel for the presentation of the equipment shown. ❤
You got it! And yes wanted it to feel like you were touring around yourself 👍
great overview of Canjam NY. thx!
Much appreciated 🍻
@@MidFiGuy you've been creating some very good content. thx!
Was waiting for this!!! Welcome back sirrrr
Ty! Hope you enjoy the video 👍
Great job, dude. Nailed it. The Riviera-1266 combination is very, very good.
Thanks homie. I need to start saving my money for whenever we hang out. I end up ordering more gear 😂
Great tour of Canjam NYC!
Thank you!
Wish I saw you out there bud ! Love your work maybe next year :)
Yes sir. You'll probably find me in a seminar recording it 😂
Hoping that youll post videos more often like before! Your one of my favorites, thanks mate!
Great to hear that! Thank you
Black ice audio was jolida they rebranded. Jolida is well known for 2 channel tube amps. Yes the headamp cfa3 will be a legend.

Solid work 💪 Much appreciated 🙏 Sending love from Germany ❤
Danke!!
@@MidFiGuy Bitte!
Thanks for the tour, so many cool products! Are you going to get back into the review game?

@@-ANJ. Lately it's been a combo of the Empy OG and Caldera on a Milo or V222
Awesome walk through. Gives the notion of actually being there.
We missed you, dude! And as an audiophile I can say your voice is so smooth to listen to! 😄

You sir have made the best coverage of NYC Canjam💯💯💯

I like the OG Empyrean as well. What genres do you like on it?

@@MidFiGuy great! what amp would you suggest for an upgrade for the Empyrean OG? Currently I only have an ADI-2 dac/amp

@@MidFiGuy Wow, that is something else...thanks for the response!
will you drop also IEMs video from this event?
Great video.

Enjoyed this (commentary). No jumping around and general sillyness of other TH-cam channels.🇬🇧🏴🇬🇧
Whats your fave DAC pairing for the Wells Milo? Currently running with Bicrost 2 OG.
Upscaleaudio is my local dealer 😊
I would like some feedback on the velo amp.

Fiio K19?
Price/performance award for me clearly goes to Aune this year.
Try out IEMs, they have come a long way and just kill many headphones
I'm actually afraid I'll really like them and it will start taking up my over the ear and 2 channel budget ☠️
