I'm ok with my 4.7 H.O. Jeep. For 600.00 great offroad and on road, not the best miles per gallon, decent power but it has been running for almost 4 years. After I got it.

There has been an orange 392 sitting at the shop walking distance from my house for 3 months. Misfire and electrical issues galore. I asked a tech how many miles on the clock….1,435 miles
Fun fact: It's top speed is limited to 100 mph, which means, eventhough it's 0-60 is around 5 seconds, it will eventually get passed by a VW Polo if the drag race is long enough😂
Get a used one and do an LS swap and still have plenty of cash left in your pocket. But that's a cool Jeep, nonetheless! Also, that hood scoop is for the air intake, not cooling.
I think most people would be fine with the sport . They sell for around 50k well equipped which is still pretty expensive for what it is. The saving grace is that the resale value is really high.
My first jeep was a flat fender post ww2 with a flat head 4 cylinder. My second jeep was a 1967 with no bells and whistles. It had a Dauntless 225 engine mad by Buick. It did everything I ask it to do. I paid $1500 cash for it and it went everywhere . Oh yea it had front and rear lockers and an Atlas Transfer Case. It would catch girls but I got more than my share of does.
I recently rented a Rubicon. It was quite fun and educational. I learned that I never want to own any car designed for heavy off-road use. My modest pickup truck felt like driving a 911 on the road after driving the Jeep for a week. Since then I’ve been totally mystified as to why all these people do all these off road mods to trucks that aren’t going off road.
anybody notice the fluid puddle under the front axle in the background? I used to own a JLU wrangler and it was constantly getting worked on/looked at. Traded in for a 4Runner TRD and its been awesome.
