if you're bored by simply copying random anatomy poses, one of the tips my art teacher mentioned once was that he has more fun studying things like anatomy if you draw your OCs in those poses instead of those strangers or faceless 3d models. you can also give the poses details, add some clothes that could fit, make up some story about them or add expressions, additionally practice a little design and storytelling along the way
Fun fact: you can learn anatomy in a month, best way to learn anatomy is to separate the parts of the body you have no understanding of like the arms and the hands, and do them individually. I try to stay away from doing the whole body right away because it is way too complex to get accurately almost every time. When your time to study is over, try doing a quick sketch after every study session (full body) and take note of your mistakes and/or inaccuracies in a notebook or notepad or whatever. after mastering the basic components move unto the "detailed" anatomy like bones, organs, muscle etc. make sure to take notes. after all that if you think your ready then try doing light sketches (with no time limit) and see how far you have improved. (note, this is the method I used, it is not guaranteed to work for all of you)
God loves you and he wants a relationship with you he wants to give you peace even in hard times and his love that surpasses all understanding he cares about you and wants to free you from sin and he wants to save you if you would let him and accept his Son the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross for us Eternal life is getting to know the one true God and whom he sent the Lord Jesus Christ who loves you to give you his Holy Spirit and he died on the cross so that you can be saved from your sins if you accept

I've been feeling that way too. It can be so incredibly frustrating when you have been practicing art with much determination for years and you feel like you're still unable to execute the basics and you have no real confidence in your art😢. However, I will share with you what I have learned recently: 1) You need to accept that you will never learn all that there is to learn. You will always feel like you're not there yet and apparently, that's normal with artists! Have you ever met an amazing artist and they're like "my work sucks😢 I need to improve 😔"? This is because art is a career that keeps giving and giving. There is always something to learn! We are never satisfied. Like a neverending waterfall, once you overcome one level you keep wanting to go higher and higher so you always get the feeling like you're a beginner. The key to overcoming this is to just accept it as a normal feeling and to realize that it's part of the process. It's part of your journey and is actually a good thing because you can use that as a tool to fuel your thirst for knowledge and it can be a great tool to mastery. However, if you allow it to break you, it can make you stop practicing art forever. 2) Another tip is the biggest thing for me and that is to keep practicing the fundamentals. That was my problem. Through introspection, I saw that I tend to skip over stuff when I get impatient and want to paint right away. Then a painting looks shitty and the self hate about me being a beginner for too long begins 😅 But seasoned artists practice the fundamentals all the time to fine-tune their art. I've been learning how critical the fundamentals are to one not feeling like a beginner. Even when the fundamentals are fully grasped one needs to keep doing them no matter what. Like an exercise. Become aware of the 7 components of art and practice them like crazy regularly. 3) Comparison. Nothing makes you feel like a beginner more that matching yourself to those you deem to be better than you. But what I've learned is that a lot of the time few people show their process. You don't see the difficulties they experienced with an art piece, how long it took them to finish it, how frustrated they were while creating or how hard they grind each day to attain a level of mastery. All we see are the beautiful art pieces they make and we feel bad compared to them and as though we're stuck forever in beginner mode. I've started using people I consider great as motivation instead of a demotivation. 4) Become incredibly stubborn. Thissss 👏 You have to have the determination of a hyena when it comes to creating art. Like, no matter how many times your work disappoints and depresses you, push through harder than anything. The more of a beginner you feel like, the harder you practice, the more you create!! Like, don't ever give up. 5) And also, keep track of your work. Our mind loves to play games with us. It will troll you. There are times when I feel so stuck and get upset but when I look back at stuff I painted or drew ten years ago, I'm like damnnnn. So I advise you keep records of your work and that whenever you doubt yourself, look back. That will definitely quiet your inner critic. 6) Additionally, remember consistency is the key. I struggled with this. 7) Oh and most importantly, another thing I learned from a favorite TH-camr that has stuck with me for years is that we feel frustrated because of the hand-eye disconnect. When an artist works / learns the trade, they develop their eyes and their drawing hand. We who are frustrated with ourselves for still being beginners despite putting in a lot of years has one major problem: our artist eye is incredibly developed but our hand has not caught up to it. Our eyes surpass our hands. I got this problem because I'm absolutely obsessed with art. I have spent a long time consuming all forms of art and am a big fan of looking at the work of talented artists. This is why no matter what I draw, it feels off to me because my hands aren't their hands. My eyes will always see the glaring mistakes but my hand struggles to not make those mistakes because I haven't trained it to the level it needs to be. That artist TH-camr stated that the way to solve this problem is to make our hands catch up to our eyes. And what's the only way to do that? Practice! And study! Also, finding the right way to practicing and studying art is key, otherwise you can waste years doing the wrong practice and keep yourself back. For years I've tried almost everything under the sun to improve but I've accepted that it's a journey and I'm still learning what works for me. Even if you can't see the improvement it's there. And I'm doing my best to practice the most important tip: patience. Once you're patient, consistent and follow a solid training plan, you'll be out of that beginner mindset in no time. Hah 😅 sorry for the long message, it's just that your comment reflected my own struggles and I wanted to share what I have been doing to get past it. Hopefully all that I've said helps you because as I started to do these things in the past week, I've been seeing improvement in my work and my mindset.

I love how you wrote “how I study anatomy” and not “how to study anatomy” since based on my experience and most likely other young artists it was hard find how they should start studying. Tell me if I’m wrong but It’s great that your not pressuring young artists to learn a certain way and allowing them find what’s best for them❤
I can’t put into words how much this helped me. I’ve been trying to move over to digital from traditional and it’s almost as if I completely forget everything I know once I pick up my tablet. The first thing I learned for both anatomy and the head is just to simplify them into a simple shape. My teacher has to constantly remind me to focus on the main feature and doesn't think about details.
You are my inspiration! You know I’m also studying anatomy for years and am good at it; however my problem is consistency. I am always lazy, and unmotivated. But when I see you, you always motivate me to start drawing and pushing myself to the limit and surpassing it like becoming a ssj! Thank you.
Thank you for presenting it as your way instead of THE way. I am taking my first steps and this was one of the questions I wanted to answer for myself.
Lately, I'm really into studying anatomy but I was losing my way where to get start. Thanks for being my inspiration when I need the most. I really love your vlogs' vibe, exactly the genre what I've beeing looking for. As I came along with you since the beginning, I can't wait to see you get more recognization. Hopefully to see more vlogs like this. Stay safe and healthy bro~!
I started with gesture drawings, foe example, videos of New Masters Academy have timer and interesting poses. So you pick a session, and draw, few times a week. Its kinda cool, because you dont spend so much time at first. Important: You must not just copy lines, you should firstly see line of action and shapes. You can find videos with basic proportions and shapes of human body, there are many kinds and ways to draw human body from shape. As I got improved, I started adding more muscles to see, some details, some lines for eyes and nose, hair. It actually looks nice now, and thats how I started to improve. Wish you good luck with studying!😀
@@SecondHomeArt I'm literally sobbing now.😭 Thanks a million, you're so kind~!!! As a beginner, I always lose myself for many things. I get motivated and later, I lose myself again. I want to draw so many things at the same time, but I barely can start since I lack basic skills. It'd be much better if I have some friends with same hobby. Self-studying is never easy but I'm still trying. Anyway, thank you again, sincerely. Ily😭❤️
Spot on. I gotta go back to the basics when it comes to constructing my figures I learned anatomy the hard way for just trying to understand the basic shapes of the muscles, how they connect, what do they do, etc. I need to go back a bit and refine my figures because I can see the figure in my head but I want to eventually communicate with less rather than more rather than spending too much time on things.
apart from the anatomy tutorial, I exceptionally loved the way you directed your video, most of the tutorial videos on youtube can't keep up with viewer's attention span. But I watched your video fully till the end. It was short, informative and fun to watch :)

i really want to get into art!!! especially anatomy… i have so many brilliant movie ideas and i just.. want to out them into creation but i want them to be spiderman into the verse art style… im not sure what that style of art is called but i love it. especially the city kid vibe like its so amazing.. just the dystopian new generation that grew w the internet. i think its so fucking awesome and we can be anything we wanna be so why not be creative and cool as fuck .. nothing is holding us back!!! and i want my art to be reflective of that so.. i love that u said “and remember practice takes key” because for beginners we can get discouraged and such so.. amazing video i love artists 🥺
thanks, this video gave me a bit of an idea of where to start with anatomy since I was really overwhelmed with the amount of things I needed to learn (btw the cinematography is great)

How did you learn the anatomy of a body? Where did you start? What are the methods for learning to draw a body? Will drawing books serve in teaching? What are the books that teach drawing a body?
ive been drawing since i was 7 and now im 14 yrs old, i still feel terrible at drawing. every time i start drawing i already feel like giving up because i feel bad at it. i tend to also lose motivations and just forget drawing. i wanna feel the same joy i felt when i was still new to drawing.. not caring much about it looking bad and genuinely doing it just for fun😅

Nice video! I saw you store your markers vertically, and I don't know if this is entirely true, but I heard markers last longer if you store them horizontally so yea maybe you can save some markers with that :D
Thats interesting! I do hope ya happen to read this but can you share us your saved references ya are practicing from interest? Would be a good way to start up too!
I feel your pain on confusing drawing tutorials, so I had this idea inspired by cartoons. What if you want to draw in a stylized manner, but you want the anatomy to be correct? While I am a beginner in finding my art style, I would draw basic shapes as you said, but I would draw them to convey the characters’ body language. While I keep the body language, I should remember that even anatomy is important, so I should keep in mind that I should draw in the realistic anatomy while keeping the art style.
i think u should make more video like this, alot of people just started learning draw like me cant find good tutorial on YT and dont know where to start, what skill need to learn first. Really like your video, very heplful, keep going !
I’m not a artist, so when I realized artist have to actually study human bodies I was flabbergasted. Then I learned they have to study shapes too. I didn’t know artists actuality have to draw shapes. I thought they just drew lines.
Im far to do your technique of sketching bt still watching your vdos keep ke inspiring to do continue practicing ...I just want to do sketches just like you...

I'm literally sobbing now.😭 Thanks a million, you're so kind~!!!
Ily😭❤️
Thank you ❤️😍. Yes I will ,
Stay safe too !!
I'm glad I was recommended this video. I always wanted to be a true artist, not any big one, but simply practice art but never knew the right steps
0:17 *casually sniffs the page*
Absolutely amazing video! Thanks for all the tips. Also I completely relate to you about wanting to make every bit of space in the sketchbook count and not wanting to waste it
i really want to get into art!!! especially anatomy… i have so many brilliant movie ideas and i just.. want to out them into creation but i want them to be spiderman into the verse art style… im not sure what that style of art is called but i love it. especially the city kid vibe like its so amazing.. just the dystopian new generation that grew w the internet. i think its so fucking awesome and we can be anything we wanna be so why not be creative and cool as fuck .. nothing is holding us back!!! and i want my art to be reflective of that so.. i love that u said “and remember practice takes key” because for beginners we can get discouraged and such so.. amazing video i love artists 🥺
thanks, this video gave me a bit of an idea of where to start with anatomy since I was really overwhelmed with the amount of things I needed to learn (btw the cinematography is great)
also love the music you put and the last part of the video were you show relaxing in the river, thanks for sharing.
Good video! I draw every day too! iPad, laptop, desktop, sketchbooks.
I am really good at coping what I see when it’s about drawing something, and now I want to make my own art on a digital surface, but here is the catch : I suck a$$ !! Yes, being good to just coping something means that you have no real skill, that’s why I watch this, to start learning. So thank you !
i was really tensed about practicing anatomy thanks man fr solving my problems
Welcome bro as always 🥰
Boxes, Sam does arts greatest fear. I must say that you are really talented! For me it never worked when I tried to use boxes for anatomy. So I am really happy that it did work for you.
I love to draw and your video helps me learn English too! Thanks for adding subtitles, your content is more accessible for English beginners like me!
I love the music you added on here it’s so nice
I always try to improve by seeing your videos you've help me a lot still got a lot to improve
🥰 I'm glad bro , thank you for the support ❤️
Idk if this helps but there is this book that helped with understanding anatomy called “Classic Human Anatomy in Motion: The Artist's Guide to the Dynamics of Figure Drawing” I found it to be useful. I hope this helps!
Ive been drawing since i was probablly 8 years old, am now 31 and im just now starting to really try anatomy. Thanks for your method. Also i have never really looked into any sponsors from the content i consume, but that website actually seems really helpful. So this will be a first lol

I wanna learn Anatomy as well. I wasn't really into it but I amazed at it now and I used to draw anime but now I want to do something different. I love shading and drawing in pencil and as I am doing online classes now, I have more time at home to relax and draw ❤ this video was relaxing and helpful and one day I'd be as good as I'd like to be ❤
wanting to be a bodybuilder in my 20’s gave me such a head start 😭
Genuinely helpful. Never knew such a convenient tool existed. This is exactly what I needed
So happy to see so many artists comments 😍😍😍

I knew it you're filipino, nice to know that there's another filipino artist who likes Karl Kopinski and Kim Jung Gi, they're also my inspiration too
5:33 that's from bridgman's book!
well spotted!
How did you learn the anatomy of a body? Where did you start? What are the methods for learning to draw a body? Will drawing books serve in teaching? What are the books that teach drawing a body?
The color grading is top notch🔥
I have become one of your students. I love your drawing and the way you explain
Damnnn that calm voice so good
I think I found the artist that inspires me right here :)
Tutorial aside, great production man. Music and camera work were phenomenal
with just 2:16 minutes this suddenly changed my entire style of drawing people heh
Nice drawing Book collection, as an artist I could relate when he said they're heavy
Make a video tour of your sketchbooks, please
ive been drawing since i was 7 and now im 14 yrs old, i still feel terrible at drawing. every time i start drawing i already feel like giving up because i feel bad at it. i tend to also lose motivations and just forget drawing. i wanna feel the same joy i felt when i was still new to drawing.. not caring much about it looking bad and genuinely doing it just for fun😅
i watched ur video for the first time today nd i was so focused on everthing u said.. i really liked the way u explained nd it was so calm.. thankyou
Your art is beautiful and this is a great tutorial. Thank you!

You inspire me, kid. Thank you.
This is a criminally underrated video
I’m glad I’m not the only one with thousands of sketch books and thanks for the advice I needed this ❤😂

Eu adorei seu vídeo. Mas não porque sou uma fã de desenhos, mas sim porque estou aprendendo inglês, e a forma como você fala e demonstra ao mesmo tempo é ótimo para aprender um novo idioma.
⊂(´・◡・⊂ )∘˚˳°Viva!!
Você tá Evoluídooo o seu idioma
Isso é Muitooooo Bom
E ao mesmo tempo muito útil
Nice video! I saw you store your markers vertically, and I don't know if this is entirely true, but I heard markers last longer if you store them horizontally so yea maybe you can save some markers with that :D
3:30 I have the very same wooden stand
Your videos are very inspiring, I enjoy watching them🥲✨️✨️✨️
Thats interesting! I do hope ya happen to read this but can you share us your saved references ya are practicing from interest? Would be a good way to start up too!
josh art es mi artista de inspiracion un maestro 100 %
wow you're amazing. Congrats! loved
I am impressed with your camara skills, you can shoot a movie!
I like you're room 💜🖤
I love your hands😊❤❤so creative and amazing, i also draw but i suck in anatomy, thank you for sharing❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, beautiful and wonderful drawings, I loved all your drawings, God willing.❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks for the tips but more than that. Your video editing is beautiful. (Philippines?) just so inspiring
I’m not a artist, so when I realized artist have to actually study human bodies I was flabbergasted. Then I learned they have to study shapes too. I didn’t know artists actuality have to draw shapes. I thought they just drew lines.
