If I truly want to "forget" it's there I think it's sensible to use that feature. Think of a private email that you would want to delete, then you would indeed have to go into that secondary email to delete it there too, right? (I am a person that likes to clean up my All Mail anyway, might as well do it in one inbox like everything else). Edit: Don't choose the delete option until you are all set up!! ha. And don't forget to add this new one to Mac mail if you use it. Just because it is forwarded to your first gmail doesn't mean it functions properly (especially for the 'from' option to show up) in Mac mail. All done now! Yippee!!

When an email is forwarded to your account, it typically acts as a separate copy. Deleting the email in your account won't affect your boss's original inbox unless you have direct access to their account and are managing emails directly from there.

Scott, but....it looks like the 2nd account designation only works when I am replying to an email received in the 2nd account. If I send an original email to someone from the 2nd account, I have to send it from the 2nd account. If I send to that person from my 1st account, they will see the 1st acct designation. Hi, I've done everything in your video to forward my second gmail account however it is not. The test email is only showing up in the second and not being forwarded. I received the conformation, confirmed it, when back into the settings and changed from disable to allow and then saved it. Still when I check they are not forwarding. Any ideas where I can go from here?
I'm having difficulty getting my gmail to send emails on behalf of my outlook account. Even though my username and password for the outlook are correct, gmail won't accept them and says to make sure everything is correct, except it is. Hi William. When setting up your email forwarding, you get to choose what happens to messages in the 'from' inbox. Take a look at the video at 4:08 to see those options.
Amazing, only thing missing is to Create a Label, and apply a filter so all the emails coming from B to A will be marked with a Label B, making it easy to understand that email is of which inbox, without opening the email. In the old account, you can choose to automatically delete the emails once they've been forwarded. But for safety reasons, you may want to do this manually (say once a year) just in case you want to go back to the old account.

Yes, this process will work when combining a standard Gmail account with a G-Suite domain account. As for which one should be the main account, it comes down to personal preference. You may want to use the G Suite account as the primary since there could be additional features and/or permissions associated with that account. As for your Contacts list, they will not be combined as a part of this process. But after a period of time, the primary account will start to learn and acquire contact names from the secondary account.

After watching your video two years ago, I forwarded mail from my business gmail to personal mail. Unfortunately I forgot all access like password & recovery of my business gmail. Can I now retrieve the password for Business Mail using Primary Mail? I hope you can help me.
Making these changes will have no direct effect on your calendars. Any emails that your secondary account receives would also appear in the primary inbox. So if you receive email reminders from your secondary Google Calendar, they would also appear in your primary Gmail account. I hope that makes sense!
by any chance do you know how to fix the problem of my emails from hotmail forwarding to my gmail? I put my hotmail email as the recovery email and since have removed it but it automatically started forwarding my emails from an email list to my gmail. No, this only applies to the email addresses, not the calendars.

by any chance do you know how to fix the problem of my emails from hotmail forwarding to my gmail? I put my hotmail email as the recovery email and since have removed it but it automatically started forwarding my emails from an email list to my gmail. I can't figure out how to make it stop so I receive the email list emails back in my hotmail account.
