I absolutely love this interview. Bumpin Uglies is definitely one of my all time favorite bands. Brandon's lyrics are just so catchy and relatable. I can't even express how much Bumpin Uglies has touched my heart and soul!
Brandon mentioned how the name was a hindrance at times, but the merch is a great conversation starter. Many times people have stopped me to say "Nice shirt/hat/etc" and I reply "Well if you like that you should check out their music." I've been able to introduce a bunch of new fans over the years because the name draws attention.
I found the uglies while watching a ballyhoo show in Bakersfield California in 2014. Touring is a great way to get out there. After seeing them I am hooked for life. It’s awesome seeing them grow and seeing Brandon’s at home family grow also. They just need to bring back the reggae Chewbacca shirt back. 🤙🏼
i remember my first time hearing of Bumpin Uglies was when i saw them live in seattle with Passafire in like 2016 or some shit. i was super high on mushrooms and ended up having to leave the show early because i started getting claustrophobic. to this day Bumpin uglies is one of my favorite bands and the song Start From Scratch fucks me up every time
Just caught Bumpin Uglies playing a free show in Muskegon MI. Brandon and the guys did not disappoint. I love the variety that they bring to this genre. Good job bring him in on these podcasts.
