Flashback is my all time favourite game and i have to say i am really enjoying the game the story is a natural progression, the graphics are great nice atmosphere, yes there are a few bugs but every game these days has them but the game is definitely worth it, love the bike section makes it interesting
I’m on the fence for this one, grew up with Another world (commodore/Amiga) and flashback(commodore/Amiga). But isn’t Fade To Black(playstation -if I remember right) originally “Flashback 2”? Does this part have any reference to Fade To Black?
The best thing about this game is the visuals and I found the story really interesting. Such a disappointing ganeplay experience though. I platinumed the gane yesterday and the game is so janky and glitchy. I had to restart one mission three times because I kept falling ithrough the ground and walls of one of the tunnel environments. The game has so much promise if they fined tuned everything. The gunplay needs be more strategic. The shields are too strong to the point of pretty much being god mode for a set time. Having more sections where you duck and cover would be cool. It seems they were trying to take things from the original Flashback and Fade to Black which I appreciate as someone who played both as a kid, but they are so damn janky. Gun power ups should have been just ammo that you can switch to and use at your leisure. Other things they should add are side missions. The game is so damn short and if they did more job center stuff then it would have been slightly more worth it. There are barely any platforming in this game as well. Also no fall damage either. If they could stretch out some aections to include more platforming then that would be cool. Items would have been nice. Disappointed that we got to throwable teleporter device.
I’m really enjoying this game. Technical issues aside, I think a lot of the reviews have painted a bad picture of it. I think if you enjoyed the original Flashback, you’ll also enjoy this
It sure needs patching, alright. But I still think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. The original still has that amazing charm despite being over 20 years old.
so bugged its not even funny, shocking how they thought it could be released in the state its in. unresponsive controls, clipping through objects. broken quests or quests not completing . i got over half way through it and was bored to death with it, this is such a disappointment considering how much i liked the original. dont bother with it.
It does seem Microids have form with quality problems at the moment. Tintin apparently has problems on PC and the devs hired admitted it was released unfinished. Is that the case here ? The other thing to note is it's Flashback in name only I think. Microids acquire some great licences but they have little to do with the original talent
Thanks all for your valid comments & points & speaking of bugs, I can't progress past the delivering two packages to the market. The game is broken. Therefore, patches are needed. Two have been released, but no patch notes as of yet.
@@gamerslounge67 I know one TH-camr managed a full long play of the PS5 physical version. It seems the bugs may be overcome with persistence or related to dodgy save states. There is however no excuse for this

I'm a huge fan of FB1. One of the best ever. This game looks really bad in every aspect.

@robsmall6466 absolutely right. It cost me full whack at £34.95. Unfortunately, I don't get dev copies as my channels are not big enough. 😞
