      @@overcomingsins6334 ,whatt?😂 The word Palestine derives from Philistia, the name given by Greek writers to the land of the Philistines, who in the 12th century BCE occupied a small pocket of land on the southern coast, between modern Tel Aviv-Yafo and Gaza. The name was revived by the Romans in the 2nd century CE in “Syria Palaestina,” designating the southern portion of the province of Syria, and made its way thence into Arabic, where it has been used to describe the region at least since the early Islamic era.

      What is the difference between Arabic and Aramaic

    • @MattHolstein
      @MattHolstein 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@abishekwillie Arabic originated northwest of the Arab peninsula and was the language of the nomadic tribes there. It is part of Semitic family of languages which include Hebrew and Aramaic. Aramaic comes from the area north Israel which is now southern Syria and Lebanon. Aramaic died out for a number of "natural" reasons (war, low birth rates of the populations that spoke it, and the spread of Islam of which the Qaran is solely in Arabic). There are very few small tribes in the region that still natively speak their own dialects of Aramaic.

      @@Asiyah2000 in syriac aramaic it’s aloho, but the Syriac is a western dialect which is spoken more in the modern day in Mesopotamia and is the dialect I and my family speak.
      However to answer your question Jesus said elaha in the Galilean dialect of Aramaic.
      I don’t really understand what points islam is trying to make when they say god in aramaic is similar to god in arabic. Of course the languages are similar. Arabic comes from Aramaic and has a lot of similarities with it and to prove my point using the Quran bible and Torah aram came first before ishmael and so therefore our language came first.

God as in The Holy Spirit has vesselled himself into two human forms, maybe even more today.
      My interpretation of Jesus's death is God had to take on a human form and let his human body die infront of many to show the people that something happens when you die, your spirit leaves your body and goes somewhere he did this by re-entering Jesus's body that was dead for 3 day. This went down in history as a supernatural event, dissolved the Roman empire and today there are millions of buildings dedicated to this event world wide.

    Nice prayer in Aramaic. It sounds like the mixed languages of Hebrew, Arabic, Syrian, Latin.

    As other have said, as a Syriac catholic myself who now lives in Paris : seek our churches, often named with the names of our major saints like "St Ephrem/am".
    Come, you're welcome, always. ❤️✝️

    To have heard the Sermon on the Mount in Aramaic must’ve been truly something otherworldly, He spoke such a beautiful and articulate language.

    I’m learning this now. Trying. I have the pronunciation improved but still I want it to be as good as this man one day. Then I’ll learn more Aramaic. My family ancestors are and still are in Ireland 🇮🇪 and one man came to Canada 🇨🇦 centuries ago. I find old Irish language familiar to this I can’t pinpoint it.
