I had to remove a rusted brake caliper bolt with a 10mm hex on it today. Sadly I don't own all of the rbrt tools, only the 7pc extractor set with for. After other methods failed I drilled it, extracted it, and then reinstalled it. The new bolt will be in next week. Long story short if I had a proper hex set I wouldn't of had to drill and extract it, probably.
Hey Dan, what if you tried to use one of the hex or torx rbrt sockets as an extractor? Like a broken bolt and you drilled it out and put the socket in it instead of a traditional extractor
Hi Aiden, that is a great question, thank you for asking it. If you were to use one of my Hex or Torx in that situation, the chances of you extracting the broken bolt is pretty good. Techs have been bashing the wrong tool into holes in a desperate attempt to remove things since forever. But I can honestly say that you will destroy the unique machining of the Hex or Torx in the process. RBRT has the BEST Extractor on the planet, the F.O.R. Extractor. Have you seen it? If not, have a look at my video on them, they are another level and the right tool for that job. I would hate for you to damage your RBRT Hex or Torx by using them incorrectly, and then not have them work properly for you when you need them too. Thanks again for stopping by!

I am extremely frustrated with Mac due they don't tell you nothing and I don't want deal with online store. Because you can't do a lot stuff like u can with dealer
Hi Dennis, some of the sets I am showcasing are not available just yet ( Socket Extractors mainly). The BIG Mac Tools yearly convention is this week and the Distributors will be able to order them and get them stocked on the trucks, so it won't be to long of a wait! I disagree that these could be used for tightening in all applications. Tightening bolts into aluminum components like heads or transmission cases is done to a factory torque spec that was determined using the standard hex bit. By using this RBRT tool to tighten, you’re changing the way the torque is applied and could potentially damage the aluminum. BUT these are great for removal, and I own several. They also could be used for tightening on steel, since it’s a tougher metal and way more forgiving to small changes in the torque application. Just my 2 cents…
