I solved the power steering problem by applying a 12” by 12” welding sheet from home depot. Bolted it in between the speaker and the power steering pump. Bolted it in on the tube that runs across the steering wheel. No problems whatsoever after that. $15 DIY fix
I had the same issue with the steering. After installing a audio system it would will only shift to on side.. thanks to your video I have solved the problem..thanks
Thanks my PMX-3 front RCA channels are cutting out along with the 5 channel amp got extremely hot and did not go into protect mode it simply let it burn out the rear and sub channels. So amp is out for repair and now have to deal with the head unit. Im very disappointed in the quality as I have been a oldschool fosgate fan simce the punch 60 and team fosgate sticker era lol.
@@christopherortiz1157 it did not for me, I’m also running ds18 speakers. It did greatly help my steering having the DPS reset though I thought it was out of alignment even without the speaker, so it helped the steering feel like née again. It does pull much less now, but it’s still there sadly, but it does not go hard right like before
Does anyone know if this a problem with just Rockford fostgate speakers I just bought some speakers that go in the dash but they’re different brand they are mb quart
I have custom stereo and I put in some ds18 in the front that had a big enough magnet that I had to get 1” spacers. Mine is pulling to the right. I did just replace my tie rods and control arm bushings so I thought it was that. I checked the alignment and adjusted it to where it needed to be and it helped. I even misaligned to the left on purpose but it still pulls. I’m going to take my speaker out and see if that does it.
$10 roll of two sided copper tape from Amazon would have solved your steering problem. Copper foil EMI shielding is used extensively in many electronic / electromechanical system components to shield against the effects of magnetic fields. The fact that your JVC speakers didn't cause the steering problem tells me their magnets are crap and your sound system will suffer.

You can use Giron Magnetic Shielding may not stop it completely but it will reduce the magnet field.
That’s so crazy! I’m glad I watched this. That JVC setup is nice! Plus you get the review cam?! WUUUUUUUT!
Now I know why my steering pulls to the Left 😢😊
do you think swamp donkeys are a good alternative ?? and i know you get what you pay for ?? what do you think about those ??
I was wondering why was jacking to the right when I hit the breaks

Just has this happen to me today, so bummed about it, I am going to try and have it corrected at the dealer, but I’m not too confident it will work
Luke did it work

It works for me . Until I removed the battery . And it’s start happening again🤔
Did you figure out how to prevent this ?
I’m having the same issue here ..
Dealership can adjust for it. Or do what I did. th-cam.com/video/6d_EewarNgE/w-d-xo.html
I had an issue with my maverick sport xmr and they had to reprogram the torque steer
So what watts are you running amp and speakers and are you happy now with the sound over the engine noise
Can this be the same issue because my power steering is completely disabled I can't operate it the whole steering wheel is completely stiff ?
did anyone figure this out and fix it??
I wish I have a can am like you have
I've read that people have used a none magnetic sheet the put under the magnet, this stops the speaker magnet from messing with the pump.
We tried multiple things including 1/8th plate and it did not help. Go with the ssv works speaker pods under the dash. Zero problems.
@@MohawkDaveOffRoad what kind of plate did you use?
@@Randy_84 steel, we also tried roofers lead.

How did you fix it
Built my own sound system.
Is this still an ongoing issue?
Yes , having problems with my 2023 x3
Yes

where do you apply the tape?
Copper foil worked for me. Wrapped the DPS motor in copper tape and the back of the speaker coil.
