    Getting that alignment right and any bsd kit is priceless. Went from two hand white knuckle driving to one hand cruising. Cured the darting L/R when hammering it in 4wd.

    About to give this a try on my commander, thanks for posting a quick easy way to do this. Follow up, did this and what a HUGE difference this made. My steering wheel was canted to the left at 9 oclock after new tires and shocks. After this I have it dead on at 12. Took me about 1.5hrs but was worth the time to learn and dial this in. Thanks for making a video that was short and Spot On!

    I like the string method, saves me from having to find perfect, long boards to square everything up. Big help, thanks!

    Great video! The only thing I would add is that taking measurements from each wheel to the frame to assist in making sure that you are centered correctly on all corners. If your frame is bent/twisted, though, you would find out driving.

      A bit old but the string still works. Just use jackstands to hold front strings and align them to be square to back wheel. From there just measure off the string.

This is a great video from what I'm seeing on facebook on a can-am group alignment seems to be a big issue with the brand new Can-Ams mine went out of alignment after first tip brand new. I have a question? What do you recommend I do I have wider tires on the rear and thinner one on the front? Thanks for all your videos and help in advance.

      Its so much better to just have same wheels all the way around.. and just carry one spare. Both me and CJ are runnong 5+2 and 5+1 15in rims on tensor 33 tires. And thanks for watching bro. Appreciate it👍

    I’ve got a ‘21 pioneer 1000 with the factory wheels and tires on it. 27x9x14 in the front and 27x11x14 in the back. Will this string method still work? Only 200 miles on it and the right front tire is getting eat up much worse than the left.

      If u dont have a squared wheel setup. Then this is not the best method... Below i linked a simple to use tool for front wheel alignment

  • @El_AV_08
    @El_AV_08 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    When I try to move my tie rod it doesn’t move do I need to loosen it ? Or is it because I don’t have the cardboard on tire?

    • @GLifeUTV
      @GLifeUTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Factory tie rods dont have left and right hand threads like aftermarket. So you may need to only loosen one jam nut near the wheel. And when u rotate it will rotate the ball joint end on the rack.👍

      Could be the wheels. Swap them front to back. Or try another set

  • @kerbc

    My steering wheel is centered and tires are now centered because of this method. My question is that one of my tie rod is more threaded out than the other...is this okay?

    • @GLifeUTV
      @GLifeUTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will be fine as long as its not excessive.. if it is alot then check something being bent. Like a tie rod end.

    Hey man can you help me with my Ranger XP 1000?
    The back drivers side rear wheel has a slight wobble and the rim isn't bent or anything when I'm driving straight and look back at it, when I turn the tire it kinda 'wheel hops' and makes a "rrrp, rrrrp, rrrp" sound and looses some traction, is that my rear alignment or is that normal?
    This is my first UTV so idk anything about this kinda thing, can you help me??
