its the most recent of his work just so u know! stigma is 2016, singularity is 2018, but tiny desk is performances of songs off his 2023 solo project "layover" and its with a live band 🤩
Real Army are happy to see your channel thrive. God Bless and we are happy to get your reactions when you can, but real life always comes first. 💜 V’s Tiny Desk performance is a fan favorite to sample how jazz has influenced his music.
Yeah I can hear the jazz influence even with the choice in music and how his vocals sort of melts over the instruments..The Tiny desk performance is a must see according to the comments🤔🤔
@@G.Rudi.BV’s tiny desk is a must. He perform 3 songs from his solo EP. You might want to check out the studio versions before the tiny desk. V is a musicians musician and the tiny desk arrangements of the songs are different. FYI, not only does v have vocal range, but he has a wide range of vocal affects. Rm has said that v can do any genre and it will sound authentic to that genre. His vocal are flexible, his hip hop sound is true to hip hop, the same with other genres. He use to sing with growls in the early bts songs and did sort of growl rap singing, examples of this is in the group songs boy in luv, jump, spinebreaker, baepsae. He is really unique and music critics have said his vocals are essential to the bts sound like billboard who said -- Billboard said, “the expressive vocals with a wide range of vocal ranges and deep voice tones play a pivotal role in BTS sound. V’s vocals have been evaluated to play a central role in the group’s sound. V’s low tone is a key element of the entire BTS sound”.

@@mariacristinacosep925 I don’t think that’s fair. He has never been anything other than respectful and complementary of all of the members. As someone who has been singing all my life, I know he was comparing Jimin and V only to distinguish between their tones and the dynamics of both their voices. They both have great voices, part of any good reaction is being able to distinguish the different qualities and tones of their voices. And in the past when he talked about the auto tune, he specifically said it is a choice based on the style of music, not because Jimin needs auto tune to sound good. The last thing I want to see is my favorite reactor to decide it’s not worth reacting to BTS members because things he says are misinterpreted and misrepresented. God Bless.
"How did you all even fing meet?" Honestly all you can say is fate because when you hear the actual story you would think it was made up. RM failed his initial audition and was recommended by a rapper to small company BigHit, Suga just wanted to be a rapper/producer but they convinced him to join RM, J-Hope was a dance who never rapped before being selected for BTS, Jin is literally a really good looking college student with no singing/dancing experience they picked up off the street, Jungkook was offered to join many big companies but decided to go with nearly bankrupt BigHit because he fell in love with RM's talent, V only went to the audition to support a friend, and Jimin almost didn't make the cut until all the other members fought to have him. Once you have a chance to experience Jin, I highly recommend watching Taylor Mari's Guide to the Bangtan 7 which gives you some background on each member and how they joined. She covered the story up to "Chapter 2" aka military/official solo career era and its an amazing watch to really understand where BTS started from and what they were able to achieve.
As am old Army I do not recommend Taylor's Guide to Bangtan 7, rather I suggest Xceleste who has been a fan since they began, A introduction to BTS & BTS Hardships, Xceleste doesn't contain the narrative pushed by BigHit.
I love how you pointed out that when baritone singers have the ability to go that high that they bring some of that lower range depth into the highest notes. I hadn't thought of it that way before and it's dope!
@@G.Rudi.B It's hard work for him tho. In some interview V said he used to dread singing Stigma. Don't know if we'll ever see that live again. But it's ok he's movin on.
At the age of 19,Taehyung already show his songwriting skills w stigma,he practiced so hard for it as it was a difficult song which vocally challenging. He also refused to use backtrack&nailed it on live performance. he is KING IF VOCALS LIVE🔥🔥🔥
24:44 Do you know that V practiced Stigma for 2 months and refused to use any backtrack while performing it live? Stigma was written when he was only 19 y.o. & showcased his abilities as a singer with a wide range and a songwriter.
@@G.Rudi.Banother fun fact. Back in the day, the members did a competition (for fun) of who can hit the highest note in the group and it was V how hit the highest note and that was when their vocal tones and skills were still raw. It was a shock because until stigma, v only got to sing in growl. V also co wrote a group song called ‘hold me tight’ which was his first try at songwriting and then we got 4 o’clock which he co-wrote and sang with rm (pure poetry lyrically). Can’t wait for you to discover his EP ‘layover’ a no skip album of slow jams. V wanted this first album to showcase the music he likes and listens to. He has the most recognisable and unique voice I have heard in the music industry. Congrats on growing your channel.
when you said if he had something to prove, at this point of their career specially they did. they were starting to get attention but also haters and antis who said they were talentless and ripped off concepts from other artist. this album where this song Stigma came from was like a slap to the face bc it was the best release of that year and all members had a hand in writing and solo songs in it.
Honestly for me it was Tae's voice that made me interested in bts. I prefer lower voices, soulful voices and to me his is absolutely amazing. Love your reactions to him. Thank you!
@@G.Rudi.B Always got your back GB! I’m so appreciative of your insight and talent of breaking these songs down. Any reaction you do… I’ll be here for it!
I haven't even watched the video yet but I came straight to the comments because I knew somebody would tell me how long I'd have to wait before he got there 😂
@@G.Rudi.B21:45 Jimin's voice isn't God given 21:54 it wasn't a gift, in fact Jimin practiced a lot to have that high singing voice. After all, It's not strange to have males having lower voices, but it's quite unnatural for an adult male to have higher voice. You can watch BTS old vids of them singing in live performances. You can hear Jimin's voice ain't that high nor does it have a unique sound. Back then he was quite depressed cause he says his singing ain't good. In one old clip, probably 2015 he once said he wants to have a voice that can soothe people. So throughout the years you can actually hear his voice gradually changes. From his first song "Lie" back in 2016 where his range was normal, to "Filter" in 2019 where you can actually hear his voice is getting higher, to "Who" 2024 where his voice is already so high. There's a stark difference.
I have waited ages for you to get to V. BTS has gotten me thru a lot of bad days, but V, he is my comfort singer. I hope that you eventually react to LayoVer. Every single song just grabs you, and For Us still has me in a chokehold. I love your reactions. I've been rocking with you for over a year and will continue to do so 💜
Taehyung is not only singing but he’s a storyteller, his emotions in his voice really touch you, Kim Taehyung is a baritone legend, one of the artists with the widest vocal range and also the diamond voice of Korea. has the best stage presence and is the best performer. so taehyung has everything that should be in an idol ..thats why idols take him so many examples❤❤❤
I'm a OT7 by heart, but V's voice... It's chocolate, it's velvet, it's a warm hug, it's cuddling in bed on a rainy day, ut's a warm summer breeze, it's comfort. It gives me the break to breathe on a hectic day, it slows me down and gives me a bit of peace. Soul food for the ears. His 'Layover' album is a constant companion in my car on the way home after an exhausting work day. You get it. He is a bariton by nature but his range is...wow! You have analyzed everything accurately and I thank you for your consideration. Love your channel and your reactions! Borahae
Kim Taehyung has the widest range in BTS and he is a baritone! His range, versatility, transitions, techniques and ability to emote are all crazy great! Kpop caters to tenors and Kim Taehyung was the first baritone in the industry. So while his company did not know how to use his vocals, he was so good that he made his own unique style and sound of music and as a solo artist does whatever he wants. A true artist. I love the stage versions better than the studio because it is sharper and as high as it can be.
Yes! BTS needed Taehyung. Without him, it would be any other kpop group. He has the X-factor, vocally, visually, as a dancer, performer and as a personality. He made the group unique and fun.
@@auroramistral ofc they are all necessary but Kim Taehyung made the band special. He has the x-factor and unique talents that no other band has. This is not new news bpd hid him for 2 years and revealed him less than 2 weeks before debut calling him the secret weapon was for a reason. Borahae.
@@tigerandlynx162all of the members have unique talents though 🤔 like you can say that he brought his own unique flavor to the group because he did but let’s not claim that he is the sole person in the group that did so.
@@KKMfan60 All members have talents. Have you seen other kpop bands, they are all good. But to become this big which even bpd knew needed that secret weapon. Again not news, Kim Taehyung has been given the titles of the Idol of Idols, National Treasure, the Fancam Emperor etc. because he is exceptional. He got the first fancam and fansite on the band even though public knew the rest for 2 years before him. This is not a competition, some artists just have the x-factor and great talents that makes them super attractive and popular. You seem new to the fandom, Taehyung brought most amount of fans for years and continues to do so. He has the largest fandom for a reason and brought fame to the band which members themselves have acknowledged on camera. You should do your own research and not look at opinions as facts.
I’m not starting anything but Jimin was the one who was coined as the “Watermark of BTS” . BUT THEN AGAIN, Jimin will not be like that if he started solo. Jimin became him because of BTS. And that goes to all the members. Every nickname and title they have was all because of their GROUP effort.
Taehyung tem um alcance vocal incrível. Sua discografia e a melhor na minha opinião entre os membros do BTS. Sua voz é doce, suave e calmante e relaxante. Muito gostosa de ouvir.
Once you have checked them out individually, you still gonna be surprised when you see and hear them together. They play good off each other- singing, dancing and stage presence wise. BTS assembled is another beast. That makes concerts SO entertaining.
Lol.he already DID IT ,isn't funny u has "vante"on ur username but CAN'T wait to lure people WHO REALLY APPRECIATED V InDIVIDUAL SKILL to "either GROUP or OTHERS "😋so far I can trace ur history how u just APPRECIATE what he did to specific member with so much pride &joy BUT OBVIOUSLY NOT V 🤣 u can't wait to see this reactor talking about others /group except V 😁 & hilarious when this channel NOT NEW TO BTS 😁🤪the bitterness of "vantes" toward V appreciation just hilarious to see 🙈😂🤕

Taehyung is just out of this world crazy talented. There is nothing this guy can’t do that is just ordinar. He excels in everything he loves. He is such a big music enthusiast and it shows. V appreciates real good music that is why his music is so special. He is always authentic, genuine, and organic. You won’t see him put out subpar music or put out a ton of versions of his songs. V is involved with his music from beginning to end adding his personal touches. His eclectic taste in music is like his vocal range. Taehyung listens to Ella Fitzgerald to Bing Crosby to Antonio Carlos Jobim to Paola Sandejas to Procol Harum. He listens to everything. He especially loves to sing neo soul, jazz, and R&B. V is so eccentric that he released his version of It’s beginning to look like Christmas in summer on his Jazz de V performance. Who does that⁉️I highly recommend watching his Vlog DRIVE with V on yt. It will give you a personal view on what it’s like to take a drive, listen to music, and hang out with him. Also recommend reacting to his Tiny Desk Korea, Band sessions, and First take. He is also an amazing dancer and has video out on The Smoke Challenge with choreographer Bada Lee, he also dances to Fuk Sumn, and dance challenge ON THE STREET with Jhope. I think God took his time in creating Kim Taehyung. Thank you for the reaction. It felt genuine and it really shows your appreciation for music. 👍👍🫰🫶✌️🐯👑🐻💜♥️💜♥️💜
I am often amazed by how simple V's "instrumental" is. It is interesting to see how his music is filled with the expressiveness of his voice. It is his voice that reaches straight to the ear (and brain) first. I love V brand, the best quality.
In Stigma, Tae was like “Imma show u my vocals gymnastics, I’m flexible. Don’t cage my abilities.” I’m in love with this man’s vocals. It is not just the vocal quality but man can emote. He is definitely a performer. His Layover album is an artful restraint. Tae drew us into his story telling with his vocals. He has 5 mvs for the album and a npr performance with a live band. I was in tears. Thank you for the reaction. I’m a music lover and have been listening to all genres for so long. I appreciate and enjoy your inputs and reactions.
V being the only baritone in the group has such a large range. He & JK usually have to sing higher because BTS songs are written higher to accommodate Jin & Jimin’s higher natural ranges. V’s solo album ‘Layover’ really gave us such a treat in being blessed to hear his more of his natural lower range, plus he loves jazz & a lot of the album is jazzy R&B. Like others have said, definitely recommend “Korea Tiny Desk” performance as you get three of the songs from the album live. Love V’s melted dark chocolate voice 🥰 I always saw V’s voice is my bias 😎 Congratulations on 50k, happy to be one of them, love your reactions😎💜
With respect, JK doesn't have to sing higher, he's a natural tenor, which is the standard register/range of kpop songs. Taehyung, as a baritone, has to sing above his natural chest voice, but he has no problems transitioning into tenor, or falsetto.💜
BTS do actually sound the same when singing live as the studio version especially V and you gonna notice that when you listen to his album layover studio and live version they sound exactly the same and that what made thwm being accused of lip-sinc but if that means something then it means they're so so talented and we're so proud of them 💜😊
What's hilarious about them being accused of lip-syncing when it comes to them is 1. They refuse to do it, we've even seen them on rare occasion struggling cuz they were sick at a concert stop singing so another member takes over or the crowd does with no backing track. J-Hope had the sound cut out in the middle of his song "Mama" so he finished it acapella with the crowd singing along 2. Majority of Kpop actually does do it, some of the biggest names even in fact 1 recently came under fire for badly lip-syncing at an American award show the VMAs. I wish I could find this vid I watched years ago that actually shows the terms they use for when you have a fuller backing track, semi, or full live vocals. There is specific terms for it with these kpop music shows that many perform on and they have a written program or guide for the sound engineers for these shows cuz they have multiple groups perform one after another, so you can actually look at it on paper which acts are lip-syncing or not if you work at these korean shows.
@@roguechevelle yeah that's why we stan them and the other K-POP groups who are really talented and pure artists whom write their own songs and sing live no matter what WE STAN TALENT WE STAN ART 💜💜

Congratulations on 50K, well deserved! You are my favourite reactor, I've been waiting for you to drop this reaction all day. Your energy, love, knowledge and understanding for music is top tier. I can not wait for you to get to Layover and V's Tiny desks performance.
I so agree with regarding his high notes…I’m not a fan of a lot of falsetto singing but Tae’s falsetto is divine because there still remains some of his lower range lingering 💜
It's always funny to me seeing people wondering in awe how they met/how bts was "formed", bc to me it almost feels like they were destined to be (as cheesy it may sound). In V's case, he just went to support a friend at an audition, didn’t sign up or anything, but then the producers asked if he wanted to give it a shot. He did, and ended up being the only one from the city to pass. RM once said that the they're all important, but the vocal backbone is Jungkook (again, his words, not mine, and it's just to answer the question). JK is the main vocal of the group and because of that he has more lines in their songs and he's always doing ad-libs/hidden vocals, he is also a central piece in almost every choreography.
I came to say this, I think all the guys have said on different occasions that JK is the backbone of the vocal line. In any case, it doesn't alter the fact that all the guys are amazing, extremely talented, hard workers, charismatic and, most of all, absolutely irreplaceable in the group, because each one brings something different to the table.
JK отличный певец, но он никогда не брал верхнюю и нижнюю ноты как Тае. Провалить значение Тэхена в группе не удастся, это вокал V основа звучания BTS. Уважайте JK и не пишите о нем под постами о других участниках.
Jk is a good singer and according to tenor based group he is the main vocalist But taehyung range is higher but he has baritone vocals not tenor If we are talking about vocals in general who can do every single genre its taehyung
V singing stigma on stage would always be /THE/ moment ICONIC KPOP Literal goosebumps! 🐯🔥👑Many idols are afraid and can't sing live but V is the king of live singing and he always kills it and his live voice is better than the studio voice
Taehyung aka V's voice is the perfect complement to the other three beautiful voices, he can adapt and make perfect harmonies with each of them. And on his own he has a vintage style which is refreshing in this day and age. Big Hit recruiting him was a stroke of luck because he wasn't exactly going to audition, he was just accompanying a friend. Army loves your reactions because you know what you're talking about, thanks! 💜
His newest project is his Layover album. It's just 🔥🔥🔥. It's short enough you could do the whole thing. You'll LOVE IT! He also has a song with UMI "Wherever u are" that was released after his enlistment...DOPE!!! And whatever you do, PLEASE check out his song "Fri(ends). All in English and also released after his enlistment. V keeps us fed! 💜💜💜
"Where did you get this guy from" lmao. Pure luck for the company really. BigHit Ent almost didn't find V because he hadn't intended on auditioning for the group. He just went along to keep his friend, who was actually going to audition, company. So him even being there was pure chance. Luckily someone from the company saw him milling around and asked if he wanted to audition too and Tae decided to take his shot. Our talented guy showed off his various talents and impressed them so much that he wound up being the only person who auditioned that day who was chosen to join the trainees. He really does have a gorgeous voice. I tend to think of words like "rich" and "decadent" when I hear him sing. It's like chocolate or fine whiskey or something that has a sense of depth to it's richness. I love hearing him sing. As for the vocalist who is "the backbone" as you asked, it's hard to say from a subjective standpoint because everyone's taste is different. It's hard to basically pick the "backbone" instrument out of an orchestra where the overall sound is beautiful only BECAUSE each voice is included. The way BTS works is that they bounce around from person to person so constantly within the song that it's different from Western groups that have 1 main frontman and everyone else harmonizes around him/her. But I suppose if we have to give an official answer, objectively, would probably be Jungkook. I say that as Jungkook's official role in the group (among other roles) is the "center". Which means that he's in the center of the dance formations more often than not and he tends to sing a bit more often in a significant amount of their songs. He will often get the most lines distributed to him and you'll hear him more often singing at the forefront although that can switch a lot depending on the song. I think his vocals sits at a steady in between in the group's range so others can move around his range and blend well. At least that's why I think the company may have selected him as the center and main vocalist. His vocals holds a touch of each members' so it's easy to sift from his voice into someone else's when they pass the baton vocally throughout songs. For me though, I can't imagine how BTS would sound with any member missing. Like V for example has such a unique depth to his voice that he grounds the music in a crucial way to my ear. It would be a lot of highs all of the time, which can be beautiful too, but there's a really nice balance when his soulful tone is added. Or Jin has such a classical touch to his voice that there's an old school vibe he can add to some song that's so resonant and stunning and almost like crystal with how clear it is. His voice always gives me chills. It's like it slices through the songs and makes you take notice in some songs. I have an extra special soft spot for his voice and I always look out for it. Jimin's tone is so unique that I tend to think it helps BTS stand out in their overall sound. No one else sounds quite like him and you can notice it a lot when other groups try to do BTS covers. They can almost kind of mimic their sound a bit for the most part but then when people get to Jimin's section, the difference is so stark it's kind of shocking at first to realize how hard it is for anyone to really copy his vocal tone and style. He's almost like a signature to BTS. And I've spoken on JK already and how foundational his voice tends to act in a song. Especially with how classicly pop his voice sounds. It's why it made so much sense that he was able to explore different sub-sounds of different styles of pop on his album, giving a lot of range even if it's technically the same genre. And it worked. They're all a crayons in a box. Even if one colour is used a lot, or some used less than others, they're all important and have extra importance depending on what needs to be filled in.
I love how you break down the question he asked about vocal backbone. Funny thing was that yesterday, I was just reading this Japanese vocalist analysing each BTS member and which area their vocal strength cover. The amazing thing is that the final ‘map’ shows that there’s not one empty space not covered, each member contributes and this is one reason why listening to their discography is so amazing and comforting. The analysis also concluded that JK (as you said) as well as Tae (as GameBoy suggested) are the lynchpin of the vocals. If you would like to read the post yourself, let me know. Will share it here
A cute thing about V (Taehyung) is that he loves some of the greats, like Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra. When BTS performed Butter at the Grammys, during commercial break, our little extrovert V, walked up to Lady Gaga, chit chatted and asked her for a pic. You could tell she was charmed by the way she touched his face.
I just want you to know that there are a lot of us who thinks you are the best music reactor out there. Someone who knows a lot about music and is not bias. Thank u for taking the time to do reactions even with a busy schedule. I feel you! Borahae
Taehyung aka V is such an amazing artists! He loves to do soul, r&b and jazz, he performed with his own band his solo album, those performances like tiny desk, and band sessions are a must! his artistic vision is so wonderful, he always take part in his projects, his ideas always are so creative, he's really a great musician ❤️🔥
V wasnt even trying out 4 BTS hes was just going with a friend 4 support he was convinced to tryout and ended up being the only one chosen that day so im totally convinced GOD put him thier so he can share that beautifully blessed gift he was given!!! With so many other talents he was blessed with but thats a whole other story. YOU gotta luv him theres only 1 V!!! Thanx again 4 ur luv on V and BTS.
THANK YOU! As always. V was younger when he did Stigma than Singularity, fyi. If you care about stage presence (as I know you do), you MUST watch Singularity live; it's legendary. For more V, there's his whole solo album from one year ago, Layover; 5 mvs; and a fantastic Tiny Desk
V's vocals is emotions pure abd simple. Its not technique. Its not contrived. You said it. V is a true performer and artist. incomparable. He hits all.the boxes and some. That's why any comparison with others fall short of appreciating real.muisc. V embodies music.
V is about longevity not about charting. Its admirable that an artist places importance on the music. His vinyl is out now. Appreciate your sincerity in reactions.
V is an amazing presence on stage live. Just incredible. I mean, look at this performance: he didn't need to have any choreo or fancy stage. He simply sang as he walked down some stairs, walked across the stage, and stood there. So happy you appreciate his talent. (BTW - I don't have a PROBLEM with choreo or great stages, I love them.) Unbelievable that he was just at a BigHit audition to give moral support to his friend who was auditioning, and they asked him if he'd like to audition too. Things like that make it easy to believe that BTS got together by Fate and is meant to be and meant to be here at this time.
V the baritone said to the tenors with the high notes…hold my beer. Let me show you some range, let me match your highs and challenge you to come down deep into the ocean where I normally sing. This type of ‘cry’ singing is lost in today’s music scene, we don’t get this type of singing anymore. Now you need to check out his EP ‘layover’. V took us to church with stigma. He is the soulful, blues, jazz, r&b king. FYI, kmedia named V as the idol of idols because so many idols cite V as their role model and study his performances to learn stage presence.
I've also heard a lot of people saying he's one of the friendliest idols, to staff and strangers as well as other groups. Apparently he stands out from the other members because they're polite but quite shy whereas tae is an extrovert and will make friends with anyone! He really does have a soul and personality as unique as his voice.
V has the widest vocal range and it reflects so well when sings those high pitches effortlessly. It comes naturally to him, he doesn't need to push harder. He's extremely talented and his voice is so deep. I am proud of him ❤ Kim Taehyung is a baritone legend, one of the artists with the widest vocal range and also the diamond voice of Korea. has the best stage presence and is the best performer. so taehyung has everything that should be in an idol ..thats why idols take him so many examples
Tiny Desk is so good. It not only shows off his vocals, it also shows how unselfish he is when it comes to performing...the music comes first. He is also VERY charming which brings that extra something to the performance. BTS are 7 incredible soloists who are also proudly part of a group that provides top quality music, lyrics and performance. Being an ARMY is a gift to myself. They care for us as much, if not more, than we care for them.
That's why V is my bias forever he is so unique no one can sing like him in kpop even his dance is so unique you must watch his fancam too he is the most popular kpop idol in the world for a reason ❤
The reason we love BTS so much is because outside of being kind, humble kings packed with talent 👇🏽 1. Mics are ALWAYS ON 2. Pure talent, no matter which one it is 3. They did their homework, and they love what they do 4. They keep getting better because they never think they did a good job (they don't have to, but they think they need to) 5. They only compete with themselves 6. They came together cause it was destiny 🐨🐹🐱🐿️🐥🐯🐰 7. They do it all for Army 💜
When I was a baby army the Wings album coming out was the best thing ever for learning the members' individual voices. Tae was my bias and I knew his lower range but holy crap Stigma blew me away once I heard his range. I got chills every time. I even got a non-army friend to listen and she was going crazy. It's so underrated😭
A truly VOCAL LEGEND TAEHYUNG with STIGMA, how he managed the stage, his powerful deep voice with high notes, everytime that Taehyung sing this masterpiece is just another level.
One thing that ARMY can't do is choose who's best or who's better than whom. It's not that we're immature, but we knowing it very well that they are complement each other. They can shine as bright as they want as soloists, but when they come together, they are one. And that is their magic. Like how can people who are so talented individually be so ego-less when they are put into a group?
TAEHYUNG can tap into so many genres im talking opera, jazz, r&b, pop, rock etc... he's super talented. 'Le Jazz de V' and his tiny desk is MUST watch!!!
Stigma live is just for the books, absolutely stunning... I always live hearing him live, he always brings a more raw quality in his live performances that takes it there
“Melted chocolate velvet” that’s what I call it, lol… his voice is rich & warm no matter where in his incredible range he takes it. Tae’s voice kills me every time
Yessss the ( it ) Factor you nailed it with this reaction for sure! He does have the stunning ability when he goes to that extreme high to still have that vocally cool rasp that just is so unique. Such a great reaction thank you so much!
@@G.Rudi.B He was actually the "hidden weapon" of BTS. They called him the "hidden weapon" on twitter when they revealed him for the first time.. a few days before BTS debuted. And they also mentioned why he was the "Hidden Weapon" in their docu-book !💜
V is the one who adds the oomph to BTS songs . People will notice and People will remember. That is him. This happens every time like every fkng time. He is the soul and emotion to the song. He has so many people idolising him. He is the differentiating factor. I have seen when people cover their songs - the ones where we know oh they can’t do the song would be V and Jimin. It is always very clear.

I think I’ve been here long enough, and one thing that I truly noticed when listening to their discography, especially with Tae’s (V’s) discography is that he requires no heavy production especially in instrumentation. I don’t know if it’s merely a personal choice or that the producers he’s worked with so far understand that his vocals just has that much thickness, vulnerability and versatility that they want it to shine through on top of everything else. You can even hear that in his latest release, the last song he left us with while enlisted-Fri(end)s. Not a lot of people recommended this but for me, it’s such a fun song that shows another dimension of his vocal skills and delivery. It has a doo-wop vibe, which I feel like you’ll appreciate too as a student of music, yourself. And the video is also ~really~ good-a reflection of his creativity and very 🌈colorful🌈 character. The representation on that video was a cherry on top especially in the kpop industry (or in korean culture, in general) that isn’t open to that type of representation (you’ll know what I mean when you see it). ☺️ He really is who they call “idol of idols” for a reason; he’s just so unique especially among his contemporaries and in the Korean music industry, in general. V, as his alter-ego, is known to be this superstar who’s a pro in doing unique stages and in going all out in his performances, which has “birthed” a lot of 4th and 5th gen idols (they literally say he’s their inspiration or role mode, following his path). But what i feel like makes him a real “idol” is that he’s unafraid to push boundaries but at the same time is very self-aware and knows the beauty of restraint (you can hear that throughout Layover. The album itself is his “artistic layover.”) This is becoming too long but in conclusion, South Korea is sooooo lucky to have V and BTS. It’s been 11 years since their debut and no one else still does it like them.
The BTS singers are known for being even better live. It surprised the hell out of me when I first saw them. I was there for the rappers but the singers won me over too.
After i listen to V's voice i said his voice is different from any kpop sound, it's unique and he really makes his own sound, maybe that's why others can't do justice to his songs, only for him, that's why i became his fan,you feel something when he's singing
"I am not doing this today." LOL! You got it bad for V just like the rest of us! He brings so much emotion when he sings. So powerful, you can't help but feel something. He's got IT x a million. I love all his solo projects, Sweet Night, Snow Flower, Winter Bear, Friends, Layover. Congrats on 50K subscribers! I'm happy to be one of them 🤩🤩🤩
BTS is not just a box of crayons. They are oil paints and water colors and chalk and clay and every medium out there that creates art! Every medium they use creates something so unique and beautiful its unmatched by an other artists. 💜💜💜
Tae’s versatility is amazing. He’s truly one of a kind. Some people already mentioned Layover, Frie(end)s and Wherever you Are with UMI but I would also recommend Inner Child it’s such a beautiful song oh and Sweet Night.
The Wings album is the one that Jimin says they got "classy"! 😂🤣😂 Started wearing suits and went ham. It's full of very mature songs like this for all of them. I think it's what really started setting them apart from kpop. Afterward, so many others tried emulating them.
Stigma is V's solo from the Wings album. It connects to his storyline in the Bangtan Universe. The magic of BTS really comes through with their Bangtan Universe story that runs through their music videos and discography.
watching him finally slowly get closer to the philosophy of BTS's discography is so exciting.... The most beautiful moment Wings Love yourself trilogy Map of the soul Oh man, a world you can't even imagine will open up to you. 🤭
5:44 i love how you pointed that out! as a singer as well, that's one of my favourite things about v, he has a lot of versatility when it comes to his range. if you noticed, since the song is more on his middle range, he also has a lower octave harmony for this part! its so low that a lot of people miss it cause it almost blends in with the bass of the song!
CONGRATULATIONS on 50K. That’s the beauty of BTS and why they are so different from all other idol groups. Not another idol have these abilities. Like you said you got Jimin with his very unique tone and V is the flip side of Jimin. V’s range is unbelievable. He is a baritone but can slip into tenor with ease. He and Jimin are often paired together singing the same note but different range it’s awesome . V’s Layover album is awesome. They have truly transcended KPOP. Wait til you hear Jin. He is the ballad king, his voice, also chef’s kiss. A group like this will never exist again. Four super talented singers with 0 egos and who complements one another so beautifully. My bias is JK, to me his voice is truly a miracle. They each recognize where they fall short and allows the one with the particular talent to handle it. My 2 favorite voices are JK and V, but they are delicious even the rap line.
Funny thing yesterday, I was just reading this Japanese vocalist analysing each BTS member and which area their vocal strength cover. The amazing thing is that the final ‘map’ shows that there’s not one empty space not covered, each member contributes and this is one reason why listening to their discography is so amazing and comforting. BTS are just magical together! The analysis also concluded that JK as well as Tae (as GameBoy suggested) are the lynchpin of the vocals. Guess that’s why the two of them are your favs😬
RM SAID THAT HE COULD NOT TALK ABOUT STIGMA WHICH WAS V'S PERSONAL SONG and that only he could talk about it. Nobody knows what it means to Tae but in the song he addresses his sister and brother. In reality V has a sister and a brother.
That’s exactly what drew me to him. His voice is really special, he’s got it. Many people have beautiful voices but V’s voice crawls into your heart and soul and lingers there.
I understand what you’re saying, he carries that vocal texture throughout this song. Smokey, soulful, smooth velvet vocal tone with so much emotion w/rasp. Unique personality too. Huge range for a natural baritone. His lives are insane and a must watch. GREAT reaction!…..(Singularity live too please)
Okay I’m giving it a name…that high octave mixed with that smooth raspy voice is a “velvet cloud” sound…it’s incredible..gotta love it🔥🔥🔥🎯

@@G.Rudi.B Absolutely! I was actually rewatching his Tiny Desk performance when you commented. 😂

God Bless.
Tae really said "HOLD MY POMERANIAN" and belted out these notes. I love this song so much.
Underrated comment.

Fucking hell I died laughing 😂😂😂😂
"hold my poodle" 😭😂
Great recommendation
GREAAAAT recommendations!! ❤
The Guide is definitely on my list to watch..I’m thinkin after I dive into Jin..
@@G.Rudi.B Can't wait! Loving taking this BTS journey along with you.
Such a unique sound..can’t be imitated..gotta be born with it🔥
@@G.Rudi.B It's hard work for him tho.
Damn..lyrics kinda deep for being 19 at the time..I respect it🙌🏾
Taehyung çok iyi bir şarkıcı... Kıymeti pek bilinmiyor. Onunla gurur duyuyorum. Reaksiyon için teşekkürler...
24:44 Do you know that V practiced Stigma for 2 months and refused to use any backtrack while performing it live?
Stigma was written when he was only 19 y.o. & showcased his abilities as a singer with a wide range and a songwriter.
The facts I get from yall are the best..no I didn’t know that…that’s the type of passion and approach to music I respect💯💯💯💪🏾
Back in 2014, the famous Iris Stevenson saw a special talent in him! They took part in the show American Hustle Life
@@G.Rudi.Banother fun fact.
Iris Stevenson said he's soulful. People feel something when he sings.
V's "Oh Happy Day" gospel singing, as part of his vocal coaching by Iris Stevenson, is exquisite!

All members are necessary, it is not a single member that makes BTS different
@@auroramistral ofc they are all necessary but Kim Taehyung made the band special. He has the x-factor and unique talents that no other band has. This is not new news bpd hid him for 2 years and revealed him less than 2 weeks before debut calling him the secret weapon was for a reason. Borahae.
@@tigerandlynx162all of the members have unique talents though 🤔 like you can say that he brought his own unique flavor to the group because he did but let’s not claim that he is the sole person in the group that did so.

Естественно у диапозон у Чимина? Что же Гук и тот же Джин вытягивают его?
With respect, JK doesn't have to sing higher, he's a natural tenor, which is the standard register/range of kpop songs. Taehyung, as a baritone, has to sing above his natural chest voice, but he has no problems transitioning into tenor, or falsetto.💜
Actually Namjoon is a baritone. ❤ (when he sings)
BTS do actually sound the same when singing live as the studio version especially V and you gonna notice that when you listen to his album layover studio and live version they sound exactly the same and that what made thwm being accused of lip-sinc but if that means something then it means they're so so talented and we're so proud of them 💜😊
Yeah that’s a different level of talent..how can you not respect that????🤷🏾♂️
@@G.Rudi.B exactly 💯

Yeah I only heard 2 JK solos and both were hella dope..I need more
@@G.Rudi.B I think you’d LOVE My Time by JK on their Map of the Soul Album!!
Jk is a good singer and according to tenor based group he is the main vocalist
But taehyung range is higher but he has baritone vocals not tenor

Tae is my bias in the vocal line Stigma really does show his vocal range and I totally agree with you on the raspiness within his high range.

I think I dropped this comment the last V reaction: Blue & Gray is all 7 but V wrote it. It’s my favorite
ALSO… I guarantee V will watch this and the Singularity one. He loves to watch fan vlogs and yt clips
I have been waiting for you to hear this track. “I’m not doing this shit today” is one of my favorite reactions ever to the high notes.
THANK YOU! As always. V was younger when he did Stigma than Singularity, fyi. If you care about stage presence (as I know you do), you MUST watch Singularity live; it's legendary. For more V, there's his whole solo album from one year ago, Layover; 5 mvs; and a fantastic Tiny Desk
yes !! Singularity live is a beast !!
Me before watching this: “he’s not ready for this”.
Me after watching this: “I was right” 🤣🤣🤣🤣💜
V's vocals is emotions pure abd simple.
@@eden.nd. yes, he is known as the social butterfly.
If you want more live of the !! His tiny desk performance is just Amazing !!!!
V is a natural baritone but has a gorgeous range. He can hit those high notes and sings amazingly well live
V’s voice is IT for me! It touches my soul!💜
That's why V is my bias forever he is so unique no one can sing like him in kpop even his dance is so unique you must watch his fancam too he is the most popular kpop idol in the world for a reason ❤
The reason we love BTS so much is because outside of being kind, humble kings packed with talent 👇🏽
1. Mics are ALWAYS ON
2. Pure talent, no matter which one it is
3. They did their homework, and they love what they do
4. They keep getting better because they never think they did a good job (they don't have to, but they think they need to)
5. They only compete with themselves
6. They came together cause it was destiny 🐨🐹🐱🐿️🐥🐯🐰
This is V on Tiny desk Korea. Turn on US Eng Subs in settings for full lyrics and subs.

YES YES YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!
Your reactions to Taehyung's voice give me life 🥰
For Us ....
Youll appreciate and be in awe ....
WAR OF HORMONE for the CHARISMA. They had IT at a young age
Tae’s voice kills me every time
Ohhhhh I got chills! His baritone is nuts but his falsettos and his high notes are on another level! It’s giving honey.
"Le Jazz de V" and his Tiny desk Korea performance are a must watch
Yessss the ( it ) Factor you nailed it with this reaction for sure! He does have the stunning ability when he goes to that extreme high to still have that vocally cool rasp that just is so unique. Such a great reaction thank you so much!
Can you imagine that he was a hidden member in the very beginning? Turned out to be just as talented as the rest of them.
There is a reason why he was called the hidden "weapon" of BTS tho !😏
Hidden is wild!!
@@G.Rudi.B He was actually the "hidden weapon" of BTS. They called him the "hidden weapon" on twitter when they revealed him for the first time.. a few days before BTS debuted. And they also mentioned why he was the "Hidden Weapon" in their docu-book !💜
@@G.Rudi.B y en los comienzos de BTS le daban muy pocas líneas en las canciones 🥲
Okay so this video was uploaded 6 hours ago and has amassed over 500+ comments, so i don’t know if you’ll ever get to read this but i still want to let you know how much I enjoyed this reaction as a fellow lover of music and of BTS.
He really is who they call “idol of idols” for a reason; he’s just so unique especially among his contemporaries and in the Korean music industry, in general. The album itself is his “artistic layover.”)
This is becoming too long but in conclusion, South Korea is sooooo lucky to have V and BTS. It’s been 11 years since their debut and no one else still does it like them.
I love me some "Friends" too!
TAE su voz barítono y de un terciopelo espectacular este hombre en todas sus facetas me enlokese esa belleza natural me encanta lo amooooooo❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Боже какие чудесные у него реакции 😩🤌🏻💜
I'm happy to be one of them 🤩🤩🤩
Yes please, Vs Tiny Desk performance!
I'm here for everything about V ❤
مصرية؟🤔
Stigma is V's solo from the Wings album. It connects to his storyline in the Bangtan Universe. The magic of BTS really comes through with their Bangtan Universe story that runs through their music videos and discography.
17:30 This part!!!!! I was in absolute awe the first time I heard it.
❤❤❤KING KIM TAEHYUNG..❤❤❤
watching him finally slowly get closer to the philosophy of BTS's discography is so exciting....
The most beautiful moment
Wings
Love yourself trilogy
Map of the soul
Oh man, a world you can't even imagine will open up to you.

The song is related to hyyh and his character in that but yeah he wrote it when he was just 19

One of my all time favourite songs. It’s absolutely beautiful and such a fantastic performance by Tae.
This song also has that E, W&F vibe, with r&b soul and expressed with Vs unique raw but very controlled talent.
That’s exactly what drew me to him. His voice is really special, he’s got it. Many people have beautiful voices but V’s voice crawls into your heart and soul and lingers there.
Love how excited you get when he hit that high note in the live performance! That's our Taehyungie! 😍
