Retired now and getting back to working with wood......Thanks for sharing.....Found you at the right time.....
Thank you Greg, happy you're enjoying it. Please email me if I can answer any questions for you, eric@makeawoodsign.com
The sign turned out really nice. The customer should be very pleased. Thank you for the tips and instructions.
Thank you Dave, glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching, Eric
That number sign came out very nice, thanks for sharing.
Thank you Bjorn. The eagle had some small detail but I was really happy with how it.
Congrats on the Amazon recognition. Seems they have figured out what we already knew.....you guys are TOPS!! By the way.....I still enjoy the reaveals.
You're too kind my friend, Thank You!!!
Congratulations for being recognized by Amazon as an influencer (we already knew it). I bought my critter last week. I haven't played with it enough yet to get even coats, but I think I will like it. It will fill the gap between my airbrush (good for fine details) and my HVLP (good for large areas). And it is super easy to clean.
Thank you, I don't think of myself as an influencer yet, but I will certainly accept it. I'm very happy with my critter. I'm sure you'll come to love yours too. Thanks again for watching, Eric
another great video . that ZAR poly. is great. used it on a few customers signs and it worked really well . just clicked on the amazon link...real cool .
Thank you my friend. Please let me know long term what you think of the ZAR. Thank you my friend for all the support.
Love your videos, and glad to see that the experts make newbie mistakes (i.e. paint on the fingers). Looking forward the next video.
LOL, yea I still make mistakes for sure. Normally when I'm in a hurry.... Thank you for watching....
Thanks man I learned more watching your videos than I have watching any of the others keep up the good work

You're very welcome, happy to help.

Thank you Gary....
Fantastic. Just got started with signs.
Thank you!!!
Thank you guys, maybe Vicki, for editing in the music while Eric is Sanding / Routering....I don't have to worry about the volume when he runs the tools for long periods...lol
Vicki does tons of stuff but that one is me. Thank you, glad you liked it, Eric
Good luck with the Amazon store and great video guys...8)
Thanks buddy!!!
The amazon store is awesome!!
Thank you Brad, glad you liked it. Got lots more tweaking to do to it.

Thank you Carl. I really appreciate you watching and the kind words. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you, eric@makeawoodsign.com.
Have enjoyed your videos - particularly liked this one with the finished sign.
I guess being told how to do it by the wife is an occupational hazard!
😆😆😆 Thanks so much for watching and the compliments!!!
I am loving your videos so far. I just retired and have been looking for a new hobby to get into. I’ve always loved wood signs and would like to start making some maybe as a small business.
Do you have or considered making training videos for beginners?
We actually have a free "7 steps for beginners" course. Here's the link makeawoodsign.com/pages/sign-carving-basics
And you can always shoot us an email eric@makeawoodsign.com or ryan@makeawoodsign.com if you have nay questions.
Plus the 2000 videos on youtube.
Outstanding. Thanks for the information, I will definitely be looking it up.
Super and thorough process
Thanks Phillip!
I ordered the paper pattern and upcut Spiral bit.
Thank you John...
Can you see if it got ordered please
The latest order I see from you is on 1/25/21 for a carving liner and a router bit depth gauge. Something may have happened in the shopping cart. Please email vickiwithdavesigns@gmail.com. She will get it straightened out for you. Sorry for the issue.
Thanks Dave ill order the large live to ride eagle that i fotgot to order.
Thank you!!!
Thank you for all the beautiful videos, I would like to know which bit I can buy to make those sign a thousand thanks
Thank you William. I have several bits that I use depending on the detail I'm carving. The one I use the most would be the profile bit. Here's a video where I show what all my bits do th-cam.com/video/pFqeuYfUC1g/w-d-xo.html all our bits are available on our website www.makeawoodsign.com/shop/ If I can answer any other questions for you please email me directly, eric@makeawoodsign.com
Second time I have it , just as good as the first time.
OK
Congratulations for being recognized by Amazon as an influencer
Thank you Bruce, it means allot and makes me hungry to do more.
Eric, is the eagle template shown in this video available, I looked on the website and couldn't find it.Thanks for the great videos and products.
Sorry Jim, it's not available. So fragile that it breaks when you look at it let alone ship it.
Very Impressive Dave... or Eric... or whomever :) haha
LOL, we get confused too!!! Eric said that....
The first 2 music interludes...what song is that? Is that Old Man Dave back in his prime picking on the guitar strings?
It's called Hooky with Sloan by Bird Creek. Found it on YT's free music. Wish dad was a guitar guy but no. He was a signer back in the day though.
It's the pad you are using in this video the took box liner stuff?
Yes, but its a good thick one. It's actually in our Amazon store
That stain really made it pop.
Thank you Mark, I was very happy with it.
Great job but i think the black around the numbers spoils the dimmpled effect
Thank you for watching and for the feedback. I appreciate it.
Trying to find the Krylon Spray Cedar , but have been unsuccelful Checked Home Depot, Lowe, Walmart and Amazon. Any suggestions?
Same here. For the last several months I've been using the Rustolium clear spray and it works about the same.
I didn't see your router bits on your Amazon page! are you just doing them through your page?
Yes we only sell our bits thru the website.
Love it
Thank you...
why do you you primer instead of paint? Is it because its easeier to sand off? I use regular paint and by the time i get done sanding i lose depth in my lines.. I'm just a beginner so any help will be appriciated.
Here's a video that explains in detail what spray we use and why th-cam.com/video/AA4ZCXotYCQ/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps. Please email me directly if you have any other questions I can help with. Thank you for watching. eric@makeawoodsign.com
@@oldave100 Awesome. Watched the video. I'll try that. Thank you
Is there a bit to get rid of those dimples around the numbers so it is flat
Yes, for a flat background I like the 1/4" spiral upcut bit.
Can MDF wood be used for carving outside signs.
I would only do it if the mdf is rated for exterior use.
Do you sell these signs? How much does one like this go for?
Yes I do still make signs for sale. Because of the detail and time this would be in the $250 range.
Do you sell a copy of the pattern that’s cut out
Just the paper
Ashy sand cross grain on back
Yes most of the time I do sand cross grain on the back
Why don't you ship to outside the US?
We do ship outside the US, just not through the website. Just email vickiwithdavesigns@gmail.com with what you want to order and your postal address and she calculate the shiping charge and let you know the total including the freight. Email me if I can answer any other questions for you, eric@makeawoodsign.com, Thank you
Why do you go against the grain on the back?
Mostly for speed. Also it makes the front look so much better with a nice finish...
Awesome. Thank you.
l
Thank you for watching Roger...
