It is amazing what effort goes into sugar coating the digital product business. I have been doing this for a while now. The truth is Regardless of what you do you will spend a fortune in advertising... Amazon , The market is saturated! If you think sales will start in autopilot you can forget it! I can prove it! Gillian and people like her are the ones creating the Saturation
Most of what you see as "learnables" on YT represent saturated markets. These ppl are successful and earning an income through their videos more, than through their digital products as they claim. If they can actually do all that they listicle on YT and are as successful as they claim to be, a) You'll not have time for making YT videos b) You'll not want more competition in your space. Who teaches and grooms potential competition? But the one good take away I find in all these videos is their use of tools and platforms. Saves a lot of time....you can start viewing these tools with your own lens.
@@grk6573 I understand that , However they are still promoting something that in turn they are saturating and making things that much harder for anyone interested in achieving goals in digital products. The competition is getting worse by the day. Who is really benefiting here?
@@funnyworld5482 If your content is good you still have a market out there...but you got to chart your own path.
Cant you see these video tutors are all hack points. You will be discussing your leads, your business plans, your strategy with them and they'll become your competition under a different brand name. Truth is, you pay them to enroll in their course and they start "guiding/mentoring" you to get all your leads. This is like a that MLM model that every node(supervisor/coach) will push you to use their formula to get leads. You will be thrown a couple of small time fish to get the feeling that their "model" is getting you results and then it'll dry up. Someone else will work on your leads and you'll believe that you ran out of luck. Either you'll quit the game or you'll get smart to see through their game. Truth is big brands who spend 10s of thousands of dollars dont work with wannabes and small e-commerce websites cant spend more than an avg of 500$ per month beyond 2 months..A lot that is being told in all these YT videos is wishfull thinking. Like all professions, you got to slog it out here...and when you do, you will get those big contracts. Focus on building a portfolio, have a good photographer and content person at your call. You can do well in this market. Use the YT videos for the initial awareness about the industry and best practices. The rest of the customer journey is what you build and how you respond as a business person to their requirements. Best. 😊🙏

Teachers pay teachers is self explanatory. It's for actual teachers to develop work and such based on classroom experience and understanding of state standards and requirements. Saying that anyone can develop this stuff is a slap in the face
Tara - I'm a teacher and I didn't feel the slap but it's good to hear that there are standards. Is it necessary to show credentials to upload materials?
I agree. The things being sold on Teachers Pay Teachers are things that a teacher has usen in her own classroom and found them to be beneficial. They share them with other teachers on the TPT platform. Someone who is not actively teaching in the classroom would likely not be as well informed as to what might work for other teachers.

Hey Gillian! How can someone decide if they want to create a physical planner is shipped and delivered Vs. a digital planner? Because with digital copies, it can be shared between a group without buying.

I have been trying to make my online business pay for my rent for the last year, without success. It is very hard to get regularly and consistent sales in the begin. You maybe better to get a job at first and work on the business on the side and build your business up over time. Also, it's not really passive income like owning property and receiving rent. It is a business and it needs lots of time and effort if you want to grow the business and be successful. It is worth having a go, but know it takes work and often money to pay for advertising to get sales.

Just something to add: you have to be a Canva Creator in order to 'sell' templates for use in the Canva library. What you earn per template varies greatly depending on the number of downloads and overall royalties per month.
I am so afraid to ask what it would cost to purchase your BUSINESS 101 starting from scratch business; these 8 ideas of passive income I would love to do it but understanding the language or the vocabulary of the passive income world is so difficult. I am not very smart and you might think he does not have the discipline to be successful or has image issues. Think what you like but for some people spelling it out and explaining any concepts with examples like in a 1st grade class; confident people, successful people, self motivated people either have the inclination or the patience to be babysitters to people that do not quite measure up. Its a fast paced world out there, who has the patience and the willingness to sit down and drop down a couple of notches down from super intelligent to 1st grade level understanding and explain things to those of us who are slow in understanding complex theories, analogies, concepts who has the patience for that?

Yes of course they could also create their own operating system and sell it from their website or they could make their own flying car and sell it on ebay or "could" create rockets to Mars that travel faster to Mars, another thing they could do is create a hit world and a dance style and then fill stages all over the world... this is called rambling about things I have no idea because I only make money with youtube talking about things I have no idea. May I ask what it was, you went with, from her content? How long did it take to start seeing income? Did you need to have a social media following, to make sales?
As far as I know, you are not allowed to sell templates on canva using their graphics since they provided the graphic it would be considered copyright? You can sell images, graphics, or videos? Is my understanding correct?
To be honest, you have to be very successful to make 6 figures with these. I don't think it's that realistic...
Some people do very well.. but I am not sure any of them are making a steady 6-figures. To earn that kind of money you really need a blog and a lot of high paying affiliate programs.
