One thing I'd like to add here: Before you publish your e-book, get testimonials/ reviews from already successful e-book writers/ bloggers, by giving them your e-book for free. It will add up credibility to your e-book, thus boost in sales.

I'm only less than a 1/3 of the way through this video, but all I can concentrate on is how distracting the constant switching of camera views is, and going in and out of close up shots to side shot, etc! STOP THAT! I guess this method of production is supposed to make the content privider appear to be young and "hip", or "legit" or whatever they call it these days. This provider is not alone. Many younger content makers are doing it as well. Sorry. I actually liked the man in the video. I'm sure he has a lot of great information to give his viewers, but I'm out! (Bang), Oh, pardon me, that was me dropping my invisible microphone onto the hard floor!

Very great information on how to make money selling ebooks the right way! Not many videos that I've seen, efficiently explains how to go about putting together everything you need to make sales on ebooks. You hit the target in stating that MARKETING is the MOST important solution for making money! Plus I love how you laid out, where you made your cover, your proofreading, marketing and ads! Thank you Simon for this great video experience....You bet that I will subscribe and start watching many more of your videos for extra knowledge!
You see!!, The way you show us this is more realistic than creating a false expectation! Most of the kdp gurus never tell you all the details... They just upload it the ebook and the millions starts to roll in!! You talk about how to attract leads and create curiosity! You talk about do a deep research of an specific niche or topic. Another thing is that not all the topics like to all ages, in other words depending on which niche and what is the age parameter will be the less or the more profitable. Thanks for sharing this! 👍
Thankyou for starting off the video telling people that it isn't as easy as just watching money flow in. By you explaining what it takes to actually make sales is also helping to see what it takes to actually make businesses successful for the long run. And for me, I now have more resources that I need to progress my business.😊

Great info! I am almost ready to publish my ebook and will take this info with me. I love the idea of prelaunch! Maybe my next one I will but my first I don’t think I can. I am trying first organic traffic but if that doesn’t work I may do paid ads.

Can you explain pre-sell process? I think that if you charge money in advance even you didn't write the ebook yet, you have to write it anyway for a few customers who bought your pre-sell offer. And how this works: do you tell them that what they bought is not ready yet and have to wait 1 month or so?

Love the video Simon. Totally agree with the fact that you shouldn't be striving to make millions straight away because it's better to start with smaller goals and then work your way up. And how do people expect to be able to sell products without doing the work? Of course you need to market the product and becoming a content creator and creating a personal brand is good for so many things nowadays.

In 2013-2014 I created a blog, with the help of a free ebook on Facebook with Facebook ads I collected over 800 subscribers who were getting my free articles and had very nice and encouraging comments. However, when I launched a paid ebook in the first days for a discounted price, only 25-30 people bought it and afterwards also their emails with questions stopped. Then also my motivation to write articles died. Maybe using only one social media platform is not enough
30 out of 800 is 3.75% conversion and that is good. Increase your list and send more offers. However, you will spend more time with marketing than writing and I understand if you do not like it (bc I hate it too).

For the website in this video I used NextJS, but today I'm using No Code tools for this. The best tools are Webflow and Framer.

Thank you for the video that was very interesting. I write only fiction but haven't sold very much of my ebooks. Plus I don't have a budget at this time. I always use Canva to design my front-covers. I have written many ebooks.

I’ve watched a lot of how-to get rich vids and this is soooo much more realistic. I’ve launched products that did $80K and some that did $3K. For anyone trying to take their knowledge, package it and make a few bucks, this is a great formula. I especially liked the advice - use what you know!

Hello great video but what is the application to publish your book and make revenue from is there a website or application?
On the topic of distribution, would it not be easier at least in the beginning to go through Amazon Kindle Publishing as it already has a huge market?
I am curious to know some points on why self publishing on Amazon is or isn't a lucrative idea too
good question ...imo, ultimately, everyone has to experiment until they find what works for them. for instance, i am going to write my ebook on a subject that i'm currently learning. though, i would like to sell a million, my motivation and goal are, document what i learn and add it to my 'portfolio' for employment search (i'm working on cyber-security certs) ...there's never a 'one size fits all' method for anything, is there?

I recommend not becoming depending on listing it on certain platforms/marketplaces but instead sell it from your own website.

You could host the ebook on a file sharing platform and send the download link after they purchase. I’m sure there’s many options.

Great video. I just subscribed to your channel. I too want to write an ebook that will show anyone how literally went from being homeless to financial independence of owning my own home and two cars. The ebook will help grow my email list then eventually I create app for them to use while getting market feed back. I will create a check list breaking down each step from beginning to completion. I can't wait to share my knowledge and experience that will help a lot of people out there who are struggling especially during these inflationary times. I know what it's like to live in a 3 million dollar home but I know what's like to lose everything except the clothes I wore. The ebook is what I would like to use to tell my story and offer life changing solutions that people can use for themselves.
