i know Steph and KD is considered a great duo now, but man the Splash Brothers are as rare as they come. I don’t think you can get a better shooting backcourt than this

April Ocampo It’s hard for me to view Steph and KD as a traditional duo. When I think of the great duos, like MJ-Pippen, Shaq-Kobe, Kobe-Gasol, LeBron-Wade, Steph-Klay, LeBron-Irving, etc., it’s always a situation where one of them is the clear-cut #1 option, while the other is the clear-cut #2. There are obviously times where the #2 guy scores more or has a better game than the #1 guy, but 95% of the time it sticks to the hierarchy. With Steph and KD, it’s never felt like one of them is the undisputed #1 option. Most people consider KD to be the better all-around player, but on any given night Steph can be the #1 guy. While Kobe would eventually become a clear-cut #1 dude later on, when it was Shaq and Kobe, there was no denying who the #1 option was for most of their time together. Similarly, while Wade was once the clear-cut #1 option, and was even an equal #1 to LeBron in 2011, after 2011 LeBron became the undisputed Batman and Wade was Robin. Part of it was Wade just acknowledging that LeBron needed to be the undisputed #1 for them to win rings, but it was also because Wade’s production and ability slightly declined after 2011. With KD and Steph, they are both in their primes, and they are both currently capable of being the undisputed #1 option on a championship team without each other. That makes it more difficult for me to view them in the same light as those other duos. KD and Steph have to be the greatest 1a-1b duo ever. Even with the Showtime Lakers, they openly admitted that until 1987, Kareem was the undisputed #1 scoring option. Then in 1987 when Kareem couldn’t carry that weight anymore and Magic reached his peak, Magic became the undisputed #1.

@@kevinmurtagh4996 kd was the number 1 option everyone knows that gsw knew that they even said that, your got a guy 7 ft who can shoot in dribble this isn't rocket science lol. And you're argument for Kobe and Shaq, they ran the triangle offense, not an offense for Shaq, but they ran the ball into the paint heavily whether it was post up for Shaq or Kobe, but mostly Shaq because it wouldn't make sense for Shaq to be at the 3pt line n Kobe posting up cause Shaq can't shoot were as Kobe could so Kobe would spend more time around the perimeter, so it allowed Shaq to get more efficient scoring, but if you look at the numbers Kobe by in large to more shots then Shaq, you can't say Pippen took more then mj, or wade more then LeBron. Just triangle offense called for a great post player which Shaq is but Kobe is too but if Kobe is posting up were would Shaq be? It didn't make sense, the offense wasn't designed for Shaq just there personal allowed for Shaq to be in the paint more then Kobe, but good luck telling Kobe the offense didn't run through him. Shaq tried that shit in Orlando it didn't work Kobe is as good as u can get in the history of the league and was multi talented enough to allow Shaq to be at his best which is what a leader does, allows others to be great, even if it requires individual sacrifice. Which is why Kobe n the whole Lakers organization have Shaq the boot cause Shaq didn't apperciate the sacrifice Kobe was making to make Shaq look good or better then he actually was. Let's not get it twisted Shaq it's not able to get his own shot like Kobe can and can easily be shut down in late game situations he needs some one to pass him the ball Kobe doesn't, and is Shaq gets it he can easily get fouled and he ain't making much of those free throws. Kobe Shaq would dominate any duel, they're both too physically strong and smart

When your a dynasty (and have the 🐐 shooter) every game gets the vault treatment. Warriors are making history, elevated the franchise to rarely paralleled heights! Makes me think 🤔 what if the jazz would have won 3 championships in the 90’s? Rockets definitely deserve more respect for their back-to-back, but that three is key!!! 🏆🏆🏆

First time I have seen this game since the night it happened. My wife and I we’re having dinner and drinks inside a Bay Area Sports Bar which was jammed. Even though the game was at OKC the atmosphere in the Bar was electric.
The Warriors defense in the 4th suffocated the Thunder. When Klay hit the go ahead 3 with 1:35 left in the 4th to put the Warriors up, the Sports Bar erupted. Never been in a Bar atmosphere before or since like that evening; it was like an actual stadium. Tense for 46 minutes, then 2 minutes of release.
Game of the Decade, it changed the NBA moving forward Bar None. I will never forget that evening.

This game changed the NBA, KD wouldn't be with the warriors had they won, and Thunders would've prolly beat Cavs in the Finals so Lebron would still have 2 rings, no Cleveland we believe ring. One game changes everything and this game turned the NBA upside down.

@@ballin4life2902 I very much doubt that the Thunder would win the CAVS in the finals. Westbrook always does shit at decisive moments (to be honest he does shit all the time) and Durant used to force certain moves, make wrong decisions. The truth is that GSW was not champion that year because the referees took Green out of the series when the Warriors won 3-1 and Curry was still not 100% physically.

@@alfredocardoso7092 The Thunder was the best post defense team in the league - and one of the best perimeter defense teams. When GSW lost Bogut they had to rely on Ezeli to play more minutes than he could take and small ball players to defend the post. That's what lost them the series - not Draymond getting suspended, not Curry being injured. Not to mention they played back to back 7 game series. OKC couldve closed it out in 6 (or 5 tbh) and dominated the inside. Adams was as good a rebounder as Thompson and there was no answer for Ibaka. I don't need to explain the defense of Roberson. The bench was also great. Waiters, Kanter (averaging double digits) and vets. That team was better than GSW imo, but splash bros just outplayed them

I remember watching this and seeing klay making 3 after 3 then he pulled a deep one and i know it was over for my thunder. It got to the point where u knew he was making it as soon as he released.
    P.s. okc 2019 champs💯👌
