Chris, congratulations, man! After almost 2 years of searching on TH-cam, I finally found what I wanted, and I loved it! Please create many more videos like this. Because it could help many videographers and people who are interested in cinematography. It gave me a vision of how exactly things work, and it is delightful, man. Please do it more! A great thanks and greeting from Berlin :)
I'm a production designer/art director and very happy I saw this video on my homepage. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your work process and ethics. I really want to start designing and compositing scenes, style, mood and shots with video directors and cinematographers and have them rendered for pre-production and production itself. I believe that can help every department to physically see what the end goal is at the beginning of the entire production. Will also make communications, plans, suggestions etc blend in smoothly and encourage speed. I see the difference that can make. I see it. I promise I'm not hallucinating 😅. Currently, I see that there is no to little collab between our professions. I hope that changes soon in our industry 🙏🏾. More Love to you and the team.
Youre totally right, the production designer and the cinematographer work really closely together to design the visual style of a project. Looking forward to collaborating one day!
really educational stuff. the love of your craft and enthusiasm definitely comes across in how you explained the details of the project even though it was a long video. Good job, looking forward to learning more from you!
Yo Chris, what a great breakdown man! Sometimes these raw looks at how a production went are the most valuable and insightful. Your cinematography is beautiful and it's great to see not only how well you work with your crew, but how you all seem to really enjoy what you're doing and are having fun while doing it. Awesome stuff, can't wait to see more from you!
Had a such blast filming this behind the scene video! Chris, this is very informative and entertaining to watch all the way through! I love how raw this is to learn by watching them. So much golden nuggets you shared. Excited for more!
One of the best film behind the scenes videos that I've ever watched. Ive been wanting to make my own videos as i am an up and coming, student filmmaker in NYC! thank you for this wonderful watch! its almost like watching a mini doc.
After 7 years of doing amateurish work and not progressing in my filmmaking I finally decided to just try thinking like a pro for once instead of being afraid. I realized shooting like this but in a smaller band is possible. I got my tripod, steady cam and a fully kitted out rig. Now I'm just waiting on my lights and trying to learn as much as possible about how.to use them creatively. This video really helped out and I can't believe this is free
Watched the entire thing man, full of gems. 2024 I am going to make my leap into sharing some of my journey as a filmmaker and stuff like this inspires me. Thanks for being extremely thorough and providing dope value you!
Love your work and breakdown brother! I’d love to see this final music video. I’ve been on your IG and site and can’t find the full video anywhere. Would love to see more content on your process for coming up with the framing and look of the music video in collaboration with the directors. Thanks brother!
Hey Chris, I loved this BTS! There's so much valuable information here and it's amazing to see how other people approach their work! Would be nice to see more from the pre-production, when it comes to building the treatment/deck for the music video (since you co-directed this), but overall is one of the best BTS videos on YT I've seen. Your lighting work is amazing, great job on it! Is there a link to the final music video? I tried looking on your Instagram or website, but you've only added stills from the clip.
@@chrisajtony can't wait to see more of your BTS videos! But is the music video available to watch yet? There's some of us here who are struggling to find it 😅
cool id - im setting off on my first music fideo in 12 hours and 22mins time, its super minimal and I wanted to see somethings I should look out for - vid made me relax about the shooting!
