The panel didn't strike the right tone for such a topic. The chuckles and smiles and off-hand remarks somehow managed to inject an air of frivolity into the proceedings. There are many security related forums and discussions that effectively handle similar topics in a more appropriate manner, so this panelists and producers of this segment might want to recalibrate.

It’s astonishing to see how india has managed to be the only major power in the region which enjoys full strategic autonomy.
-Not joined any military alliance but managed to get critical military technologies from US, france, germany, europe to upgrade defence capabilities.
    - INDIA-ASEAN collaboration on security without any involvement of the west.
    - have an independent policy with all its neighbors.
    - exports ‘made in india’ supersonic missiles and military hardware to neighbouring countries (like Philippines) as part of ‘strengthen east’ policy.
    - managed to get critical military hardware and energy supplies from Russia, but US couldnt sanction india thru CATSA.
-Countering china on its own with its own strategies.
-Doing massive anti piracy, anti extremist and rescue operations in indian ocean, red sea and gulf region to protect human lives and global trade of Asia and emerging as the sole ‘net security provider’ of the Indian Ocean.
    India is crazy smart!

The west has this deep seated view that, the world is split between good and bad. The west is good, and the rest are bad. It's impossible for the west to imagine multiple poles due to this good vs bad view. In reality geo politics is like having multiple political parties, so you don't have to choose the lesser of the evil. So it's natural to have multiple poles. If you think about it, west is one pole, India is another, Africa is another, Iran, Russia and China are it's own poles each. Just because Russia, Iran and China are cooperating currently doesn't mean they are together as a single pole. All these countries have independent foreign policies. The west on the other hand doesn't have full sovereignty and have to follow the US foreign policy. I wonder if this stunted thinking about power centers is due to the bi-party system in the US.

Why does your map show Taiwan in RED as part of China. Taiwan is an independent nation that has never been a part of China. Tibet should not be shown in red.
China's neighbors need to unify their response to Chinese aggression with a military treaty similar to NATO. The South Sea Treaty Organisation that includes Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. The USA, UK, and Australia would should not be members of the SSTO but should be create a separate South Pacific Treaty Organisation that works closely with the SSTO.
India needs to form it's o.wn treaty organisation that includes Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Cambodia.
The massed arms of these treaty organisation would crush China if the started a war,

Our Chinese people are intelligent, hardworking, kind, and brave. The political elites in the Western world who aspire to make China a banana republic will not realize their dreams. The Middle East, Persia, Iran, and Far East China are both extremely proud and stubborn civilizations. Even if they may be in an unfavorable position for a while, or even conquered by foreign races and religions, their inherent pride prevents them from being transformed into other ethnic groups. On the contrary, as long as they seize the opportunity, they will decisively establish their own national flag again and throw themselves into the long river of history with their unique posture. Jack Sullivan, the National Security Assistant to the President of the United States, personally stated that spending too much money over decades to turn China into a banana republic has completely failed.

The Communist Party of China's actions in the South China Sea are a cause for concern and demand international attention. Despite their claims of ensuring safe passage for international trade, their aggressive tactics and territorial assertions paint a different picture. The ongoing disputes and incidents involving Filipino fishermen highlight the real intentions behind China's actions - a bid to assert dominance and control over the region.
China's attempts to propagate a false narrative of safety in the South China Sea contradict the realities of the situation. The international community remains vigilant and is closely monitoring developments in the region. The pattern of bullying and aggression displayed by China raises serious doubts about their commitment to ensuring free and open navigation in these vital waters.
The concerns surrounding China's future intentions in the South China Sea are valid, especially considering the potential for increased restrictions and interference in maritime activities that do not align with China's interests. It is imperative for countries to uphold international laws and norms, and for diplomatic efforts by those like-minded countries to castigate China to accept the Hague Ruling (ITLOS) invalidating the 9-Dash Lines.

Like sending military aids to Japan so the japanese can defend taiwan?
You guys ever asked if Japanese locals, NOT the extremely unpopular politicians, want to wage a war against China over Taiwan? Must japanese military be dragged into a war with China over taiwan? Is japan truly a Democracy when most want to stay out of a war?
All the talks about democracy is better than chinese communism, does it mean it s better alternative if taiwan is being colonised by democracy, just like how the west accepted the colonisation of the west bank?
If you want to talk about international law, who is actively supporting israel with military aids and starving 2 million people in Gaza or doing nothing when the west bank is Illegally occupied?
Taiwan being occupied by China would be MORE legitimate under international law than israel colonising west bank because almost ALL countries recognise the one China policy.
If the west accepted colonisation in the west bank, is it not the height of hypocrisy if a war over Taiwan happens despite the island being part of China, with its full official name being the Republic of China?

They will give moral support to Philippines. Also, Indonesia and Malaysia will navigate their own waters which are claimed by China, and China cant do anything about it. All ASEAN countries are irked by Chinese specially Vietnam. Lastly, China has so many powerful and rich enemies like Japan, South Korea, Australia, India, Taiwan, US and EU. China will lose in this war.

Pillar ONE is about a bit more than subs. Pillar 2 is ALSO about a bit more ( the Japanese subs are Diesel and Australia cancelled a deal with France for the best diesel subs to be supplied to Australia in order for Australia to build nuke subs.....the Virginia's by the way ARE nuke subs - Nuke subs are ten times more superior than diesel, maybe a hundred times more. China is NOT afraid of Diesel subs but they are afraid of nukes. But there is a LOT more to this than just what is said here......A LOT MORE!
